Actually quite enjoyed Black Mirror today. Reminds me a lot like a modern funhouse. The layout changes which makes it very disorientating and the effects make it a great experience. I think it’s going to be a popular attraction even if it is a low budget addition.

Going to go try it out tomorrow. Trying not to watch too many spoilers but I don't have high expectations either. Agree X would have been great for a Black Mirror re-theme.

I'm just thankful that Towers have taken a run down area of the park and put new life into it. If the ride runs reliably and there is a constant flow of cars though the boarding area then it shouldn't matter that it stops mid-ride if it's still part of the experience. As for funding, the whole area has been improved not just one ride and hopefully following positive reactions, we may see further expansion of the area if it will prove to be a success. Also in the time Towers and other Merlin parks have had new coasters, attractions and hotels built from the ground up, Thorpe Park has had no major project since DBGT. So IMO if any Merlin park needs a new "major" ride funded, I'd say Thorpe does over Towers. It's easy to say CATCF would have been a better location, but that's assuming Granny was in the works before or alongside the Dungeon.

An B&M launched wing coaster I can get behind, but why boomerang?!? Nah it's too high capacity! Hopefully the layout is just unfinished. 👍

Samurai must be on it's last legs by now. They're still keeping it going despite how tame I've found it compared to the one I did at Hyde Park a few years ago.

First day back on Saturday for me and my god it was busy! Fastrack sold out and queues for all the coasters were a solid 80-90mins all day. Managed 2 rides on Stealth, 1 on Rapids & Vortex and had to call it a day after a good bit of filming. Never seen the queue for Saw this long!

Very annoyed to hear ICON has had belts recently installed. Same as Helix and Copperhead Strike but interestingly not Blue Fire!

The new music is very generic compared to the old music. It fits the theme but it's not as memorable. It's nice to see the effort has been put in this year to reinvent it and fix the awful lighting.

I'm cautiously optimistic its been improved. They can't have made it any worse than it was. Hopefully there is more of a story with hints of a darker theme again and better lighting. Audio will have to wait until I hear a recording. I'm not expecting it to be better than Valhalla though!
