  1. YouTune!? Lol sorry. Yeah, I just wanna share my adventures with people. Hoping to share some more pictures and videos on this forum. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  2. Makes sense given the film is based on amateur recordings ... XD Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  3. Darn... Not to worry I respect those rules I'm gonna aim to become a Merlin Pass Holder next year anyway so theres always that. Hopefully there's still some cool stuff to film like actors around the park (outside of mazes) but who knows! Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  4. Right, I've now got tickets for this wonderful event! I am jumping on board the hype train and so excited for my first ever Halloween theme park event. Platform 15 should be great. Does anybody know if there is a ban on cameras within the mazes? I do a YouTune channel (see my Sig below) so I'd like to capture a little of Platform 15 at least Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

    Services Day

Do you know if ALL rides are open for this? Alton Towers ran one before and didn't open a couple of the big ones Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  6. I'm visiting with my wife who is a chef and critiques everything food related, what are my best bets here... I'm thinking Mexican corner of park, pour spicey sauce on everything to disguise the lame. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  7. What was going on with operations and food? I know they don't let you bring food in so I'm gonna have to eat there... Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  8. So update then, we visited not too long ago to check out Galactica. Honest thoughts? Not all it's cracked up to be but still a fun little ride. I had actually never had a chance to ride The Smiler yet so that was pretty exciting and it is now one of my top 5! Walls are up for SW8, very pirate themed which is interesting, looking forward to seeing what they actually call it in the end bearing mind Thirteen was SW7 or something? Sub Terra is also still closed for refurb. You can also see the abandoned log flume from the sky ride and it looks pretty creepy! As usual my wife and I made a vlog of our day, it was actually a surprise trip for her. Hope its okay if I leave this here for those interested? If not then ignore me Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  9. Subscribed to the above I also have a new video I wish to share, our day out at Alton Towers checking out Galactica to start with followed by Nemesis, The Smiler and generally everything else... [emoji14] Please consider subscribing if you enjoy my adventures as PortAventura video coming soon Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  10. We went on 27th July a staff member told us the earliest it has opened has been 11am. Shortly after our visit, it broke down for good and remains what it is now. So, unless I am wrong and during soft opens it was running (and going by what I was told), I don't think this ride has opened for a full Thorpe Park day.
  11. Well, I don't remember much in the way of airtime or G force, others may have different opinions but it terms of effects on the body it was pretty light. The whole appeal I think is the near miss aspect when you go through the sign. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  12. Really fun if you ask me! Not too rough at all, you get a wonderful view for miles then you turn to the right and you're off and that's the thrill part. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  13. We visited the park on Wednesday 27th July 2016, and it is best summed in the vlog we made which I have shared down below. The main purpose of our visit was to ride DBGT and Stealth. We didn't realize Stealth was down for maintenance so that was a fail, but we did manage to get on DBGT after nearly 2 hours of queuing and it breaking down once. It was pretty good in the end! We also managed ride; Nemesis Inferno, SAW, Colossus, Samurai, Rumba Rapid and Swarm. There were some issues that day with rides breaking down an awful lot which didn't help as we would loved to have fit more in. We also did the I'm A Celebrity Maze which was... Weird... Anyway, I leave you with our vlog! Hope you enjoy and stay 'til the end for my attempt at making it look like I've ridden Tidal Wave even though the queue was shut... =D
  14. Challenge accepted! I'll update you next April xD ... Aaaannd I'm already scared. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  15. Hehe, that's awesome you got the reference That was an intentional nod to Tim who has never been to BPB. I told him I'd take him and the wind can blow that mustache right off his face... Thanks for watching to the end As for hand stamping, we got stamped to walk out and up to the Velvet Coaster Wetherspoons but on the way back in they didn't check our stamp, they just checked our wristbands/tickets and took our word for it? Old habits die hard maybe. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  16. Following up on my above post... I've now gotten around to editing and publishing to YouTube our vlog of the day! Managed to get a bit of on-ride for Grand National and Wallace and Gromit (tehe, cheese) and a good look around the park at some other stuff. If you've got 10 minutes please give it a watch and throw me some support! Watching it only brings back memories of the neck pain from SkyForce for me...! I am STILL annoyed about that scoreboard. Now to work on the Thorpe Park vlog which I enjoyed a little more than BPB if I had to be honest.
  17. Did this when we went. The Velvet Coaster a tiny bit pricier than a normal spoons but a darn sight better than in park grub! Just get your hand stamped, bugger off up the road about 2 minutes walk if that and enjoy! Just don't wash the stamp off in the loos... Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  18. Queuing for Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe, ride attendant in the booth was obviously a little bored so he puts on a spooky doom voice and says "PREPARE FOR YOUR DOOM UPON NEMESIS INFERNO!!" Many a giggle was shared.. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  19. Let's not forget the investment into Volcano Bay as well, probably talking millions. Another thing I'm gutted won't be open late March next year (boo!) But I suppose delays such as fires can't be helped... To quote I.T Crowd, "a fire!? At a water park!?" Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  20. I hate to say it because some people despise the game but... Pokémon Go. Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Universal Studios... All have free WiFi and almost every ride is either a Pokestop or a gym. It's the perfect environment to play if you're into that sort of thing. Alternatively I saw a couple in front of us on DBGT queue playing a 2 player version of pong on their smart phone. 21. With HULK and KONG Universal is winning the arms race against WDW. I look forward to seeing what the ETA is for Fallon's Ride and for Fast and Furious now that HULK's work is complete.
  22. So excited for this next year, but also so TERRIFIED of Falcon's Fury, gonna be a good day out
  23. I don't particularly have a fear on most rides, I really enjoy the thrill of flying around all over a roller coaster. With ONE exception. I'm not even scared of heights but DROP TOWERS are my Kryptonite. I have managed to get myself used to Detonator and BPB's Ice Blast, later this year I'm going to attempt the one at PortAventura (300ft high) and then Falcon's Fury at Busch Gardens next year, if I can force myself to get on the ride, I figure that once the harness comes down there isn't much you can do about it so shut your eyes and go for it!!
  24. Arrghh that looks SO exciting! Going to PortAventura in September so none of this will be open yet but hoping to go just in time to make one of the last days they stay open until Midnight
  25. Looks like I have a lot of subscribing to do, this is a jackpot for a fellow YouTube theme park vlogger like you! I might as well share my channel https://www.youtube.com/user/SteveMingoOnTheWeb << there it is! I just started out a little while back and currently as I type this am editing a vlog for Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Alton Towers and Thorpe Park. Later in the year I'm covering PortAdventura and early next year most of Florida! I just do travel vlogs really, experiencing parks and attractions and trying to slip a little comedy in there too. Here's my bio: Hi, I'm Cptn Mingo. I'm a 20 something adventurer, goblin slayer, galaxy explorer, video gamer, dice roller and proud nerd. Welcome to my channel. I upload videos once a week, usually on a Sunday. I make travel vlogs from my adventures around the world which aim to entertain, inform and maybe even bring a laugh or two. I create videos mainly as a hobby but also as a way to keep my family and friends (both present and future) updated with what I've been up to. I will also be uploading gaming related fails, glitches and funny moments videos. I've had a youtube channel since 2008 but it's only in 2016 that I've really stepped into the world of vlogging.
