  1. Problems with traffic? Change your opening hours - 11am-6pm or even 7pm would smooth out traffic flow during the peaktimes.

Dumping people onto the roads at 5pm is stupid really. Not like many people want to leave at that time anyway!

  2. Replacement pass - you HAVE to visit your home attraction. The systems aren't linked, they would not be able to find you on the system. Reprints are not possible.

Renewals - any attraction. They just create you as a new user.

No point asking merlin - you'd have to visit your home attraction. Unless you have a nice home attraction, such as Alton Towers, where if you ask they'll post it out for you instead.

Replacement passes for faded ink will be free of charge - they'll only ever charge you for lost passes or deliberate misuse/damage

  3. ...Since when does a constant queue give decent cycle lengths? Unless your version of a cycle length is no more than a minute or so - awful value for money.

If anything, the quieter the better. My favourite funfair has been Worthing all those years ago. Completely dead - top buzz 2, only a few quid.. cycles lasted up to 5 minutes to get punters in!

  4. The only reason I will ever visit them again is so I can ride stealth and I will carry out that trip so merlin dont see a single penny.

I got my MAP from tesco vouchers last year,

Ah but you've already stumbled by providing them with the money in the first place by using a Tesco voucher!!!

I'd recommend you using Sun tickets (Which provides no money to Merlin) to enter the Theme Park. Then ride Stealth using all the priority passes from your excessive moaning to screw over guests trying to have a good time. Then go home. That's the way to ensure a great visit, and of course to upset the park as much as possible!

Or just don't be a silly sausage and don't visit. Like a fair few of us on here act upon without constantly reminding others :)

  5. ^Agreed.

Also, in terms of attendance figures, no Merlin park is of the size nor the position to be able to get anywhere near 5 million guests!

Agreeing with position - however towers is the only park which can get nearest to that. Just need a longer open season (or a winter season) alongside some decent quality indoor/alternate attractions for them to be making up those numbers (well, closer to 4 than near 5).

  6. Appropriate capacity...

Like when Nemesis is on 2 trains and is walk on, but they only use one, and keep the other one empty, which makes front row a pain!

So appropriate then. The second there's a slight queue they open both trains. Instantly. No need to close the ride for 10mins to put 2nd train on.

You can have your thorpe park 1 train goodness then, you obviously do not appreciate the better life!!

  7. Less than half full or half empty?

Ive never been to alton feb half term, its too far to go for just a few rides. It will be interesting to see if swarm and stealth open on 2 trains or just 1. If its 1 then the whole "event" could end up being pretty pointless as I doubt rush or slammer will be opening.

Towers runs it rides appropriately - Air would be walk on with 2 trains, or a maximum 15 minute queue during Half Term.

Oblivion (when it was open) tended to run on 4 shuttles. Hopefully they'll get Blivs open this year, but who knows.

I can't believe people STILL give the same old rubbish of "Thorpe will only run one train to annoy guests and encourage Fastrack sales" - it's a load of rubbish...

It's only cos they don't help themselves - selling fastrack at the entrance of one train operation rides, encouraging Fastrack sales over social media as a battle against short queues - their pathetic excuse for 1 train operation (it's best to say its not available rather than "to save energy"). Then again, thorpe has jobs open for mechanical and electrical engineers, and an electrical TL at the moment. So they're hopefully beefing up their department.
