  1. It seems to be the issue of being completely unable to lower the ride down to ground position which is the issue - usually you can plug in a backup battery supply and move it down. The harnesses would've been able to open as you can then manually winch them open. However, they couldn't possibly have done this mid air. Shame really, that pretty much guarantees Rameses down for months, if not all season or forever. It'll be mighty expensive purchasing new harnesses and T-Bars for 40 seats.
  2. 1) Open 2) 90mins 3) ....4 trains.
  3. Sonic runs maximum 3 adults per car in wet weather operation. Sounds like Chessie was running on "offpeak" mode, ie.. lowest capacity they can possibly get away with. Bit irritating. Slightly. Majorly.
  4. The lift chain did not snap. The gearbox went. It'll probably be open tomorrow, as all their efforts were on opening smiler whilst awaiting the part.

    Wicker Man

Aww that's fun though. About that poster, what did it say about Lord of the Darkness again? Be interesting to re-read it!
  6. I believe the Dark Forest needs less trees. There's being forest in a theme park.. and then there's just ridiculous. Ban the trees.

The break in the middle is definitely very needed. Felt very ill after the first section, that was just enough time to feel good. End of ride, I felt fine!
  8. I'd like the site to launch within a reasonable timeframe, and not a few years/continuously never.

Smiler is still beating Thirteen and Air in their first 2 weeks of operation. What a fun fact that is. Least it's only stalling, not destroying its drop section or railing.

Last few posts are pretty much a "told ya" .

I am really looking forward to going on park, getting in that shop and buying some merch. I really want a t-shirt or two, some designs are well good!

For every person who says it gets unbearable, there's more who say its actually fantastic. I listened to it up close for 3hrs last week, and now I'm obsessed with it. It works in different ways to people, depending on how pessimistic they take life

The ha ha ha bits fill the area with such a joy and atmosphere which really isn't found at towers. It's incredibly uplifting, everyone gets in the mood by it!
  14. If you want to hear the areas audio next time, there's a couple of speakers behind the noodles. That runs off the same system, and can relatively easily hear what the music is!

Absolutely love the music. When you hear it in person, especially with the bassy bits.. it's just fantastic. Such a happy track!!

Probably the same people who were knarcked off with Alton when air was down half it's first season. Oh wait, they continued visiting. Teething issues are teething issues, bound to happen.
  17. That's not the soundtrack, those are the continuous announcements. The soundtrack is the music, which is still pop music. Otherwise whizzers soundtrack was just a happy man saying GOT ANY KEYS? Which it wasn't.
  18. Both spinballs have had pop music playing, you just can never hear it unless it's broken down. Sonic hasn't had a sonic themed soundtrack, unless noah and the whale is sonic related.
  19. Being advertised as shoot yourself in the head minutes? Sounds about right.
  20. That'll be down to the sun actually - if the sun shines strongly on any LCD tv, it'll create some black spot as the TV overheats.. once it goes behind the clouds or gets cooler, the TV will turn back normal.
  21. I'd hope the track layout is very much pinned to the ground tbf.
  22. Is someone able to put benins posts and photos into a spoiler tag or something to aid browser load times? I just tried to open Teardrops in Denmark and it almost killed my laptop, it froze for 15mins and Firefox had a memory use of 1,424,000K just from that one page. Would like to quite see it without potentially destroying laptop. Thanks!

    Rebranding Thorpe

They should all be aimed at families. Lego is families with tiny kids, chessie is families with kids, thorpe should be families with older and thrillseeking kids, and towers should be absolutely bloody everyone. Just cos thorpe happens to have a fair few coasters and not much else, don't mean it shouldn't attract families!

There were no ride it first people - it was managers and magic making, and then opened to public.
