  1. Well done for pointing out the obvious and an excellent use of elipses. And well done for also cutting out the rest of my post that gave the other reason why Chessington will keep Jumbos. In fact, did you even read past the first line of my post?
  2. Thing is, you say its outdated but then the Jumbos are key important rides at all the Disney Magic Kingdom parks so there quite clearly is a draw there. The problem with Jumbos is something that lies through every Chessington ride. It just isn't looked after. Jumbos could look amazing, everytime they repaint the elephants, they look like new. But they've let the structure fade into a really dodgy green giving the ride this ancient looking edge.As for keeping it, well it is a popular ride. Throughput plays a part in it, but it is terrific for young kids and far more eventful then Sea Dragons or Carousel.
  3. She was too busy preparing to release her 500th single.
  4. Nah, it's totally at odds with everything else at Europa Park.. and I'm one of the ones that adores Silver Star.

    Past Plans

Having been on Megaphobia (brilliant but can be a back breaker) and Coaster Express (Ouch, why do you hurt me so much on a straight drop), I can kind of understand the reluctance of theme parks to go down the woodie route. I wonder how many theme park managers eyes will be on Voodan this year. Afterall, Europa sets the standards in my opinion and if Voodan is as good as it looks then maybe, just maybe...
  6. Henry and the Flying Kipper crash =(!
  7. That looks really nice actually. Still feels slightly pained that we lost a rare Arrow swinger for it, but on the other hand as a concept this looks great. A lot of parks are going for the Expedition Everest type of ride at the moment. It's interesting that now the higher and faster fight is over, parks are now attempting to give multi sensory rides instead.Verbolten looks rather cool I must say.
  8. It was one of those programmes that you could never do these days, showing the true consequences of death. When the hedgehogs get run over or when Adders mate gets killed by the rats. Traumatic show but brilliant.
  9. That Rita turn around is the best part of the ride! ^_^It will go around that corner quite fast though, Raptor's similar looking turn into the break run really picked up a good amount of speed.
  10. Just be greatful they are opening the park at all.
  11. Me to. I'd pay over the top prices for all of it.
  12. Marc needs to wear more coats. He is not wearing enough coats.
  13. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Uk's fifth B&M. And what a bloody stunner it is. The sound, the strange way the seat slowly turns through the inversions, that amazing feeling its going to be on the right hand side as you flip over, the theming.Hats off to Thorpe. Well and truely.
  14. Inferno was my personal favourite from the last ten years. No FROM THE PARK THAT BOUGHT YOU or pointless gimmicks just a theme and a B&M train hurtling into a cavern. Beautiful.
  15. Looks like a teaser ad to me, considering that had dummies on it and the actual TV advert apparently has people.

  17. By building an Intamin?!
  18. GET PAST THAT TRIO CYCLISTS
  19. Not that I made any inclination to what I think of the bus though Peter, you do raise a few points about it.For instance "gorgeous bus". Most of Londonders probably just want to get to A to B. Secondly, who cares if its broken down? Probably the people that want to get somewhere but missed the double decker that passed them two minutes ago.I'm sure everybody wanted a routemaster that doesn't run at night, doesn't run the full length of its bus route and doesn't have a conductor past 7pm which actually defeats the point of the thing in the first place and I'm sure Londoners are happy to have lost the higher capacity bendy bus for the lower capacity (and less of them to boot) double deckers. But as you say it showcases London and all for only increasing Oyster fees by nearly 100% and paying 1.2 million per bus. Woo
  20. Make way for the Boris Bus, broken down in a city near you!
