Back in 2017 I said Stealth and Furius Baco. I still stand by those two to be honest. The thing with Dragster is you've got to be lucky enough to get on the stupid thing. Half of that ride for me was just relief that I'd got on it and could ignore it for the rest of my trip. After the first roll back I saw and the resultant queue line evacuation, every single time it launched I was a ball of nerves, worrying it would rollback (which it did) and be closed for another hour. Stealth may be half the height, but for ride value, at least you can ride the thing relatively easily and its launch feels almost as powerful. Shoutout to Fluch Von Norogord for having such a forceful launch as well.

Can't wait. I really like the event thing they're attempting. Sure it comes about because of a huge reduction in restaurant space but, what the hell. its something different and something unique for the UK. More please.

Deep down I'd like for them to aim for something higher than the bare minimum. Thats the only crux really.
-
Think they would start calling it Fort Park.
-
Narrator: it will

Almost as stupid as seatbelts on the B&M hypers on Cedar Fair rides. 'I'm sure this tiny little seatbelt is far safer then this giant restraint sitting on my lap.

Depends what the local funfairs are willing to loan out I suppose.

I'm all in for the breakdance love in this topic. I wonder whatever happened to Dynamo
-
What flat rides should they be getting as permanent additions?
-
I'm happy. Could they throw in a breakdance for good measure. And not one of those rubbish barrel ones, a proper one.

1. Nostalgia. The construction of Inferno, Stealth, Slammer, Rush. Riding Inferno 48 times in a day. Walking up the Colossus lift hill for the tenth anniversary (after riding it for an hour), riding the Swarm for an hour in the pouring rain for a press shoot. Thorpes jump from tiny regional park to big regional park coincided with my real growth as a rollercoaster fan and I will have always have rose tinted glasses for the 2001-2005 era where it felt like the future of the park was exciting and with no boundaries. 2. Friends. I don't think my social circle would be anywhere near where it is today without the people I met during my earlier Thorpe days. Born out of this era is so many European trips. 3. Detonator. It's just the best ride in the South okay.

Funny story, I once bought a reduced Gatekeeper shirt at Cedar Point. RIP Gatekeeper.

it just means the ride is on the rise, the height of popularity. It's never been a better time to be a fan of Derren Browns Ghost Train.

I can list what was a sketchy plan and as a bonus I'll even update it for you as to why its cancelled. Lucky for all. April Californias Great America Disneyland California Cancelled as we can't leave the country Alternative plan is to visit Paultons for Tornado Springs and a trip to Chessington as the fiancé hasn't been for 12 years. August Tivoli Gardens - Denmark Wonder Island - Russia Linnanmaki - Finland Grona Lund - Sweden Probably all will be cancelled because even if we got on the cruise ship, the chances of the respective ports being open for the ship to disembark from is miniscule. Annoying as we booked it a year ago, just before all this kicked off. September Walt Disney World Univesal Studios Busch Gardens Tampa All completely dependant on if we can leave the country and if we can get into the USA. The usual suspects will probably appear such as Alton Towers, Disneyland Paris and maybe even Thorpe Park after a two year absence. All completely dependant on so many factors.

It's not my place to answer the Western themed question I put out there. 😉
-
What was kind of strange is I'm all about quite short, direct pieces of writing but I felt your blogs were on the lighter side. There's so much more I thought you could have said about the island like no other branding for example as it talked a lot about the bridge and the island like no other brand but I didn't really get the connection. Really liked the theming blog, I wonder if there could have been closer examples of when the theming works and where it doesn't. Just to further emphasise your point as Oz'iris theming could be a theming blog all by itself. Are there examples of Western themes that actually work?

My previous post was wrong. The future of this park has never been brighter.

It's a Sin is an essential watch. I would say the most important drama for at least a decade. There's very little drama featuring the AIDS epidemic and its eye opening and heartbreaking.

Nice knowing you Lightwater Valley. I never visited, probably should have.

Pretty sure the sale of this coaster wasn't based on a certain name with a certain restraint but I digress. I'm glad this has the old style, perfect B&M restraints, The new ones killed Valravn and Valykire for me.

Legendary composer Alan Menken donated 100 dollars to this according to the comments. I want this to be true. I think its a great thing to bring people together for a charity too help others. The pandemic has been hard on all of us, the effects of this may be seen for years and anything people can do to bring joy should be applauded, not derided.

Can't wait to go through passport control and get my Belgium stamp to ride this.

MaP owners are hilarious. They seem to think loyalty is owning an annual pass. The reality is the 'sell em cheap, pack em in;' worked pre covid but with this year, that philosophy backfired.
