I last went in 2012 and the park isn't the issue. It was everyone outside on the promenade that was the problem. It's the only time I've encountered homophobic abuse and it's put me off Blackpool in general.

Doesn't help that Blackpool itself, is an absolute dive. I love most of the rides in the Pleasure Beach but I can't stand the place and if it wasn't for Icon I wouldn't even be considering a trip.

You could argue that not everyone can afford to go to Disney World, whereas Disneyland Paris is relatively affordable (relatively being the key word here) and easy to get to for a lot of Europeans.

I'd imagine its an incredibly rare thing for someone to have done all six Disney resorts. I also think you do Paris a disservice, it has some of the more unique versions of attractions and has a handful of rides/attractions you can't find anywhere else. I'm excited for the expansion, I though the days of Paris getting anything were decades away. For it to get the three big hitters is just a sign that Disney owning Paris will pay dividends very quickly. Even more positive, none of these Disney subsidiaries will be in the Disneyland Parc. I still don't like how Star Wars and Pixar are being pushed on the parks at California.

Saturday is the day to avoid. Sunday should be fine.

It takes some effort to make storm surge look good but this has done it with flying colours. At no other point in thorpes lifetime has the park looked completely directionless.

I think it's going to be a quality ride experience and a worthy addition to Towers. It won't be top ten material, it won't even be close to being my favourite Wooden ride but I think it's going to have a lot going for it. Fortunately I can look forward to this and Icon and be thankful that the UK's two biggest, most well known parks are getting such unique and good investments.

It's better then 'most intense ride ever' that's normally thrown out there and that fact is actually true. Scenic Railway was a rebuild in any case.

It's not really, a lot of its really important, significant rides are Grade 1 listed so will never leave. Wild Mouse was obviously a shame, it's never coming back though and I don't see much point holding onto that and saying it time and time again. Considering how much effort they've gone to with Icon to have it weave its way through rides like Steeplechase says to me they intend to keep them for the long term.

Double post but meh. Rock N Rollercoaster is to be re-imagined to the Avengers. Which seems to confirm that Tower is definitely safe from Marvel control for now. Good riddance really, Paris R'N'R is a better ride experience but a pretty lousy theme.

The Good Place is one of my favourite shows for years. It's sold as a comedy but I'm all over it for its original concept an creativity. I love it.

Amanda Thompson (OBE) just tweeted this. I know it's only a turn around but I love the look of this ride. My only criticism is it's pretty boring colours. Everything else is just amazing.

I think it looks sublime. Nemesis is absolutely pivotal at Towers and for it to get the love it deserved makes me very grateful that its finally been completed. I could nit-pick but I'm not going to as there's too much misery in this world as it is. Can't wait to see it in person.
