  1. Crikey. The first B&M to be scrapped? I never thought it would be The Incredible Hulk. Part of me wonders if this refurb means a complete change to the last part of the ride or whether it's a complete track replacement.
  2. If you have a problem or are taking any issue with any posts then you need to use the report button. Even with that, so far nothing has been said that is against the forum rules.
  3. If you like Merlin's customer service, you'll love PortAventura's
  4. Can you stop saying things like that please.

    Doctor Who

In his first episode he was comprehensively, well and truly exterminated by his first Daleks. Which explains the earlier daleks like in Power, Evil, Master Plan and Invasion of Earth. If anything, the way Davros's return wasn't explained is true to what has happened in the past.

    Doctor Who

Mainly because he was never killed by the reality bomb, the bomb never went off. We saw him shouting at the Doctor but never found out what happened to him.

    The Smiler

I call bull**** on this story. Neither Varney or Balch have acted in this way through the entire thing and I suspect every quote is being taken completely out of context.
  8. I think I'm basic too then, Swarm isn't in my top ten, but I think its a great ride, the second best at Thorpe certainly and definitely more enjoyable to ride then a lot of rides in Europe. Bless ya though Han, my B&M list is relatively small compared to the hardcore enthusiasts out there that chase the creds. In the UK, we're very lucky to even have five B&M's, let alone the first inverter, flyer and dive machine in Europe. Whilst a lot of people don't like Oblivion and Air, I think they're great for what they are, particularly now as both ride types have taken off quite massively in the last five years, too think for a long time there was only one dive machine in Europe, and now there's four is a bit strange.
  9. Anyway... As we're all listing B&M's we've been on, I'll get beaten by Benin BUT SO WHAT. 1. Nemesis Inferno 2. Nemesis 3. Air 4. Oblivion 5. Silver Star 6. Black Mamba 7. Superman de Acero 8. Batman La Fuga 9. Manta 10. Kraken 11. The Incredible Hulk 12. Chinese Fireball 13. Hungarian Hungtail 14. Katun 15. Raptor (Gardaland) 16. The Swarm 17. Oz'Iris 18. Dragon Khan 19. Shambhala 20. Sheikra 21. Kumba 22. Montu 23. Dæmonen 24. Medusa 25. Tatsu 26. Riddlers Revenge 27. Batman the Ride Backwards (Magic Mountain) 28. Scream 29. Silver Bullet B&M are by far my favourite coaster manufacturer. The strength of their rides alone can be enough to persuade me to visit a theme park. Intamin are too inconsistent.
  10. (May have ran Fury on 7 cars with the 9 car dispatch setting) (Frequently)
  11. More importantly though, what other B&M's have you been on aside from the UK 5 and presumably, Khan and Shambhala.
  12. Maybe he isn't anymore. Maybe he's like a butterfly flying in the B&M wind.
  13. To be fair he said that once used to be in his top 10. That may no longer be the case.
  14. So which B&M rides have you done then Jordanluke2009
  15. I like people speaking up. Your post was just insulting. Did we delete it no, it's your view and I respect that but expect views that disagree with it. The scales are unnecessary. Fury's four adult rule is completely unnecessary for the same reason that Black Buccaneers adult on the end of each row rule is completely unnecessary. Every now and then, I did stop the ride because of the four adult thing. Not because I necessarily agreed with the rule itself but because it is the restriction that Chessington themselves had decided to put to place. The thing is, the initial two adult restriction rule was initially put in place because of something that happened at Fury in 2006 and as a knee jerk reaction to it, the ride could only take three people per car, two adults maximum. After advice from Maurer Sohne, a weight limit was imposed (I forget what that was in numbers) but it was essentially the weight of two large adults and two children. The reason Spinball doesn't go by this rule was because Alton Towers argued against it and severe testing on Spinball was done to prove that nothing was wrong with putting four adults in a car. For this reason you can ride the Winja twins, Salama, Tarantula, Dizz and Spinball with no problems. Chessington either don't have the finances to do this or seem unwilling to change their ride for the better of their guests. The fact that they now have to let the car stop at the end of the station now suggests to me that throughput and keeping queues down has become completely irrelevant.
  16. The funny thing is initially, the whole weight restriction came about over nothing to do with what we're talking about now, it's just become the reason Fury ran a three (initially two) adult rule. Rattlesnakes initial restriction came about because it was built by Marurer and if Fury had to have a restriction, so did Rattlesnake. As far as I know, it's remained at three adults maximum in a car.
  17. They still have Storm Surge in their park, there is no lows that they won't fall to. Not that I'm calling Doctor Who something I hate, I personally think it's a great show, a massive part of British culture and still commands a large enough audience to be the most viewed programme of the day on BBC One. They could do a lot worse then a family friendly show that is not only iconic but can have something for everyone.
  18. It's ProjectLC's nemesis, his kryptonite if you will.
  19. Truly a shame that then. As an operator it was such a thrill to try and keep the cars going. Creates a feeling in guests that they need to get on quickly with less faff.
  20. Only with mega slow staff. At any time on a 7 car operation you have the three cars in the station, one travelling through the break run and the other three around the ride. Fury can be very easily run in a way that the cars never stop in the station. The problem is lack of efficiency in the station frankly. Spinball actually always has a car stop at the dispatch wheels due to block spacing but in theory Fury's cars should almost always go with stopping. It just depends how on it the staff are.
  21. Samurai and Vortex are clearly unplanned closures. Ridership is relevant if its costing ample of amounts of money to run the thing to please a small amount of people. This whole conversation could be irrelevant anyway if it just happens to be closed for a few days before Fright Nights kicks in. It's just amusing seeing how worked up you seem to get over it. And yet you still visit so you clearly aren't that bothered about it
  22. Half baked = One water ride closed. The one with the lowest ridership during September/October.
  23. I'm suitably as outraged as you are. Those tens of riders are going to be missing out big time. Shall we boycott the park CoasterJamie or just keep visiting?
