  1. After all the years of telling us that areas were no longer around, here we are back to park areas. Flip flops more then a Conservative government.
  2. This yes. The price should have come down to reflect the loss of six rides. That was never going to happen. We were never going to see an all guns blazing theme park in 2016. Hell, even without the Smiler incident we were going to see the loss of Ripsaw and possibly Log Flume. I'm not surprised we're seeing more ride closures, but I am amazed at how many we've got. From four dark rides to one in less then five months and I've no doubt that if Duel required more staff to run it, that would be closed too.
  3. Social Media is a source of misery. We'd all do ourselves so many favours by not reading too much into the complaints on official fb pages.

Park has its worst year on record, losing millions of pounds for the company with threats of further cuts and payouts to come and you're expecting what exactly? The expectations of theme park enthusiasts in particular are so high it amazes me. The awful look from last year has gone, an attempt has been made to make it look nicer on what's probably a budget that is minuscule and it gets nothing but derision. No wonder our parks were left to run down to decay, the work they're doing will be un-noticed by the public and just derided by enthusiasts. I like the signs and fences more then the meshy look from last year so I guess I'd better hand in my enthusiast card because unless we get a teacup ride hidden by a castle or flipping Hogsmede then nothing will ever be good enough. /soapbox

That time will be such a long time coming and I can't be fussed with moaning about an area that I try to avoid whenever I visit. You've got an under-rated gem hidden being one that never really fitted in. I could be angry about it but when the park actively doesn't care, why should I.
  6. I'd design it more like tatsu in mind. This flyer is a massive coaster but doesn't seem to do a lot different. I particularly think its ending is a little bit uninspired. I'm probably just being really picky and would still enjoy the ride hence why I mentioned that it looks like a poor mans Starry eyed ripper. =)
  7. It's alternative is 'Get in the bin.' It's apparently a Millenial generation thing. Which I apparently am.
  8. It's a relatively new coaster, I can't imagine Colossus being hung out to dry already.
  9. Phrases that should be banned in 2016. 'Smashed it' 'Get in the sea' 'Broke the internet' '_____ and chill'
  10. So have I out of principle. 45 minute wait for Kraken. No deal.
  11. I genuinely think this looks like a poor mans Starry Eyed Ripper. That coaster is a revelation whereas this one could do a lot more considering its size and length.
  12. Late reply. Isn't this because the difference Thorpe busy and say, Alton busy are very different scales. Thorpe just copes very badly with busy days particularly with quite a lot of breakdowns and ride closures and with its relatively small size even the quieter rides like Quantum have long queues. Alton just doesn't have this problem.
  13. It's easily done what with their one train operations and hour long queues..
  14. Unfortunately some of us can't just fly off somewhere on a whim. When I went was the most appropriate time for my partner and I to go. Doesn't make us inefficient planners, particularly when two of the rides weren't scheduled to be closed when we initially booked the trip.
  15. Sorry, the Circle line now has two terminus's, Edgware Road and Hammersmith. Mark9 Destroying jokes since 1988.
  16. They've been pulling that trick with Nemesis for years.
  17. A Daily Mail article would probably question why it was only the women that lost limbs and how they'd be fine if they'd just stayed at home in the kitchen. Then, lets face it, the comments would say this is a good enough reason to shut our borders/leave the EU/ blame all immigrants.
  18. Thats it, I'm out. Tom had the right idea.
  19. California Disney always has far more rides closed then Paris or Florida. During my time there, Pirates, it's a small World, Alice in Wonderland, Nemo and Friends and Grizzly were all closed. This is only being reported because of the massive Star Wars investment and the fact that Fantastmic won't be on for a year.
