February 14, 201411 yr comment_176477 As far as I'm aware, if you were to get off the M25 at Chertsey, none of the route from there to Thorpe is affected (indeed, my house is on that route, and is in no way affected, or going to be affected, by the floods - fortunately!). Water is bound to be high either side of Staines Road on the route, but I expect it would take a ridiculous amount more rain and such before it would actually affect the road.
February 14, 201411 yr comment_176479 I think that if the Staines Road out of Chertsey became impassible then that would be TP cut off.
February 14, 201411 yr comment_176487 I've been drafted in from sussex police to help out surrey with the flooding. My understanding is that Thorpe was used for an RVP (assuming I'm deployed to Chertsey) so I'll have a look about on Monday in respect of lake levels
February 14, 201411 yr comment_176489 I know we have had a months rain already this month and going to have another months rain in the next few days they said on the news that if there's no more rain, it will still take over 3 months to dry every flooded area out!
March 8, 201411 yr comment_177788 I'm off to thorpe on the 27th of march and I was wondering will the roads have cleared up by now ? It has not rained for a while so I guess it should be ok?
