D4n
When X-Sector first opened it was full of optimism and everybody was pleased with the futuristic themed new area...Black Hole, Oblivion ETCBut now...well it's lost it's magic and impotance, Enterprise and Submission could be moved with a click of the owners fingers and Oblivion never gets queues and is no longer... special.So... is X-Sector losing it's magic? Mark9
Oblivion always gets queues. I always see it at 40 minutes around mid-day. Your either extremely lucky on your trips or you just never go on busy days.

Your either extremely lucky on your trips or you just never go on busy days.I go on all nthe busy days and ride at peak times, last year I did, Easter, Adrenaline Week, Summer Holidays X2, Scarefest and a bunch of not busy days the longest was 10 minutes (Scarefest at night)
Mark9
Well something doesn't add up if both Air and Oblivion have very short queues on very busy days...
D4n
Well something doesn't add up if both Air and Oblivion have very short queues on very busy days...Well... I always do Air first thing (With Nemesis)But Oblivion NEVER has a queue... (Over 20 mins)Although Air's reaches 45 mins quite often but I don't! Rita's is stupid, even first thing! Fred
But Oblivion NEVER has a queue... (Over 20 mins)So because you dont queue when its busy, that means they never have a queue? And never has a queue.. and 20mins queue.. tends to suggest.. theres a queue of 20mins? A queue? Yes.

Dan9
And if its not a queue I s'pose I can simply barge my way to the front with the excuse "its not really a queue" .
D4n
And if its not a queue I s'pose I can simply barge my way to the front with the excuse "its not really a queue" .Can anyway with Fastrack/Using Single Rider Line
Dan9
Fastrack is a different format at Alton. Anyway Fastrack is a massive rip off. You pay too much money to get on something youve ridden before, and still end up queueing anyway (at thorpe, I once queued about 45 minutes using fastrack). And it slows the normal queue down. The queue would probably be half the length if fastrack wasnt there
Marc
If you pay, why should you skip the entire q? You may have queued 45 mins but the main q could well have been 1 hour 30 mins?
Dan9
But a 45 minute queue is still not worth the amount of money you have to pay for it.And I bet the normal queue could be an hour if there was no fastrackers anyway.
Fred
The conditions you bought for was to fastrack into the queue, cutting out the majority of it. You agreed to pay a price for this service and agreed with its conditions when purchasing it, and therefore was up to you whether you decided to buy fastrack or not. Theme Park bloke
An interesting article from Towers Nerd that I've just been reading:Black Hole tent work (click)X Sector sign temporarily removed, a cherry picker outside tent possibly going in?What's going on, nobody knows. Mystery.
Fred
They had a fooking massive crane on site on tues/weds and were removing supports from the tent (I thought they had sold and removed the entire ride!)
D4n
Maybe they'll actually put the tent to some use now then? I was hoping that they would add something in 2009 but it seems they won't be. Maybe we'll be seeing to new coaster's in 2010?
Sheepie
Apparently, according to someone on Towers Times, the entertaiments team are looking to put a show inside it. Probs just so there's something inside it whilst they finalize it's long term replacement.
RobF
Alton have anounced an SW (Secret wepon) for the corky site for 2010. so doubt a x sector coaster will be happening in the same year, also its quite near to the villiage.
