Benin
Again I find myself following an European park building a brand new B&M, so let's have a topic about the park and ride...I visited the park for the first time last year, and throughly enjoyed the rides and atmosphere, with the classy Tonnerre de Zeus being backed up by Goudrix (not as bad as people say) in the current big coaster stakes, and some excellent theming and rides dotted around the park...See my TR in the link below for some pics...http://forum.maniahub.com/topic/7404-paris-parc-asterix-et-piscines/And next year, a B&M Inverted will arrive...http://www.potionmagix.fr/forumix/nouvelle-zone-attraction-2012-parc-asterix-t1271-430.html#p33432Hopefully this new one will keep the same level of theming as the rest of the park and really help imprint the park onto the local map... TPGG
I went to teh park yesterday and it was INSANE, so much fun with theming that spits in the face of thorpe park. Zeus was really good, I didnt realise how huge it was until I got up the lifthill. Goudrix was incredibly painful, we did wonder why it was walk on lol. Both log flumes had amazing theming and special effects. Oxegenarium was is much fun, even my mum went on it. So much better than Storm Surge haha.I got on everything I wanted to so I was pretty happy, shame I didnt visit a year after, when the inverted one would be there
Benin
Hmmm, forgot about this topic, oh well... Who wants sexy B&M pics?Of course, since TPM seems to HATE the links from PotionMagix, here's the link to their construction page... http://www.potionmagix.fr/forumix/nouvelle-zone-attraction-2012-parc-asterix-t1271-990.htmlLooks different and brilliant... Bear in mind that the first drop is before the Dive Loop. Mark9
Mark9
European Montu looks lovely, adore its colours. Dark blue and yellow go so well. I personally think they should open it like that, would certainly add a gimmick to the ride..
Benin
Loop completed... Trim spotted... Chaos ensues...http://www.potionmagix.fr/forumix/nouvelle-zone-attraction-2012-parc-asterix-t1271-1010.htmlHonestly though, they're really soldiering on with the construction of this... Maybe they've stolen a bit of Asterix's potion?
Liam T
Does anyone know what (if it even has one) the theme of the ride is going to be?
Mark9
It's going to be Egyptian esque, hence why I call it European Montu.

Mark9
Very very nice. I like how tight the layout looks so far. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be quite front loaded and then has a crap ending.
Benin
Latest update...http://www.potionmagix.fr/forumix/topic1271-1060.htmlNot the first half is complete, tunnel being built, zero-g next to the station... Looking pretty epic so far...
TraX
I can't believe how spoilt we are next year. This really is looking great.
thorpeparkjack
I think all of the parks are just spending their last cash reserves seeing as the world is going to end...

TPGG
Ah this looks so amazing! I shall have to revisit the park in years to come
AdamY
Wow, it looks like they are actually putting in that underwater tunnel! Plus that first segment with the dive loop, overbank, vertical loop and immelmann loop looks amazing :DAlso, Potion Magix is a really cool name for a fan site. I hereby petition the admins to change TPM to The Wicked Witch's Cauldron or something!
Benin
http://www.potionmagix.fr/forumix/nouvelle-zone-attraction-2012-parc-asterix-t1271-1150.htmlIt would appear the layout is finished... Now for the theming, which if the rest is the park is any indication, should be suitably awesome...

Mark9
A train, how useful!Do you think B&M have ever delivered the wrong train, like a floorless train arriving for a B&M inverter layout.Just saying, we get mispicks at work quite frequently
AdamY
Wingrider train on a layout with tunnels could get... Interesting

Mark9
I'm saving my OH MY GODS until I eventually ride it. I have a feeling, like Katun, that off-ride and on-ride videos aren't going to do the ride much justice. It looks way to atypical B&M in that video, whereas knowing the layout, its nothing like a typical inverter.
