Twenty people have been injured in an accident involving a ride at Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach. They were treated by paramedics, with some suffering suspected broken bones and neck injuries in the incident on Tuesday evening.A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said they had received a call at 7.54pm reporting that two cars had crashed on the Big Dipper. At 9pm, firefighters, including the urban search and rescue team and specialist rope rescue team, were still working to rescue one person trapped on the ride.Source: Lancashire Evening Post

What does everyone think is the best themed ride? Out of every ride in the world.I dont know what I would choose but I think the theming for Jurassic Park River Adventure is really well done I alson really like the theming for Revenge of the Mummy and Ripsaw Falls.I think when SAW: The Ride is finished, that will be the best themed ride ever!

  3. Are other British Theme Parks going down the drain?Alton: The place is supposed to be number 1 and they cant even get half the things they want right. The Flume, Enterprise and Submission are crap, Gloomy Wood and Katanga Canyon haven't seen development in ages. Adventure Land is crap and UG Land have major theme clashes. Oblivion, Nemesis and AIR are the only things they got right.I love Alton Towers, so this is heartbreaking that they had effin locals being so damn out of order - don't they realise that they are keeping the local town from going bust.Other Merlin Parks:CWoA: No new ride or coaster since 2004 - 6 years (assuming 2010 is our year) But I love the 2009 deve…

TBH I'm am rather annoyed that so many of englands top themed parks are owned by one company, not meaning it disrespectfully but I think it's holding back our themed parks.Other theme parks in toher countreis are owned by seperate companies and I feel that this is why they are to such a better standard than UK parks, I fele thats its because this Comapnies owns the parks we don't get as many new rides as other countries and some of the rides we get seem rushed becasue of this fact and there doesn't seem to be to much competition, I feel it would do britain a world of good to have it's theme parks owned by different companies. For instance if Thorpe Park where to be owned b…

Well heres a place to discuss the wonderful fairs we have!Earlier this evening was at a fair, didnt have that much but 2 rides stood out, firstly the orbiter was a totally amazing very fun and very forcfull! But secondly a Fabbri Top Spin, I thought this totaly amazing, especially compared to ripsaw/ramesis! Whist the fabbri one is smaller it is alot more comfortable and intense, I can honestly say for 99% of the ride I was not touching the seat, totally awesome!
