Fair point.. Anyway as we all know long queues dont make a good attraction

And back to the days of the freezer where they were open longer than ever, no fastrack and capacity crowds considered a normal day now?
  4. Ive heard ops say to people cameras are aloud on rides such as Loggers Leap, Rumba Rapids etc but obviously at your own risk..

Being the "new" attraction with such a low throughput by nature and fastrack its not much of a surprise really.. Attractions such as the Asylum/Freezer are known to get much higher queue times
  6. Seconded, if anyone's causing you problems on the forums you can talk to me or any member of the team =]
  7. They cant with the amount of engineering cars/vans and what not driving around the park. Would cause a load of problems. I think it depends how far through the engineers are through there checks and what rides are ready, if they are its not unusual to be let in early.
  8. Oh I totally agree its the right thing to do. Indeed sounds like a cursed day today
  9. And ive been in much better circumstances and been given free tickets.. Its not fantastic, its the least they could do after a very bad day IMO,
  10. I disagree, both sets of staff are great, ive had thorpe staff talking to me, asking how my day has been just as much, if not more than at Alton Towers. Disney, that says it all, there parade probably has a bigger budget than the entire park does in a year. That and how many guests do you think would really be interested within Thorpes target audience.
  11. No I dont think so, not that I remember anyway!
  12. Stealths smoke has been working most of this year.

Thats rubbish, if it wasn't what people wanted then they wouldn't have built it.They dont expect more guests, but they expect to maintain last years success and Saw Alive will have to attract people to do that because obviously not everyone who went last year will go this year. They have opened mazes during the summer before which was successful.

Just because the gates are not higher dont mean the attraction cant be popular. It was dead by 5:00 on Sunday too
  15. TBH I would be surprised if many speakers are actually "broken" I suspect its more of a case of lose/broken connections over time which could be fixed if it was looked into.
  16. One small thing getting to me at the moment is the music on park, whilst yeah its better than it has been in ages, things which have worked fine in the past are now no longer working properly.Firstly Colossus Station seems to be playing a loop of the Colossus theme, its also not the version from the ride its self as it misses out the Vortex bit and when it repeats, you get a 10 second loud burst of the area music in the station in the gap, I'm not sure why they've decided to replace the brilliant station ambiance which created an amazing atmosphere in the station, also the auto dispatch speech hasnt worked properly in a couple of years now, which is also a shame as again that was a fantastic recording and created a good atmosphere in the station. Next up Saw, it still lacks the ambiance it used to play in the inside queue line, and now the speeches in the station do not work properly, playing the wrong speech at the wrong time, that and the queue line audio has gone pretty quiet and a couple of speakers are either to quiet to hear or are not working. Inferno of course we would love to get the dispatch theme back, but not only that but the entire area around the ride seems to be dead, the mushroom speakers which used to play the theme under the loop towards the arcade are now dead and play nothing, and the bass bins at the entrance are wasted playing a few sound effects which dont make any use of them. Stealth is alot better now actually in the general area, at the far side of the q line there are dead speakers making it almost silent over there though, and for some reason the launch speech is only playing through one side of the station making it quite quiet to what it once was. Aside to that across the park there are speakers which have randomly stopped working (Beach, One outside Vortex and Rush) and one next to the depth charge photo unit actually looks like a guest has gone and yanked the cable out. I feel its quite a shame as musics something which the park does pride its self on having the best of across the parks, and they have fantastic equipment on park which is no longer being used to its potential and do hope its somthing they will look at.
  17. Agreed, best trip to Thorpe ive had also, better than any Alton or Chessington trip ive had this year.Ride count:Stealth 3X :\ No way out 2Inferno 1Colossus 1Saw the Ride 1Vortex 1Samurai 1Rush 1Detonator 1Quantum 1CCR 1Rumba Rapids 1Slammer 1Saw Alive 1Storm In a Teacup 1Flying Fish 1The park was pretty busy yet still got on pretty much everything, I do fail to see how people manage to visit and ride hardly anything.
  18. Thorpe today was £5 for tomorrow, £10 for any day.
  19. Ive found on the bars what have a bit of give (most of them) its fine, I rode recently and the bar didn't move atall and I did get abit of leg cramp.
  20. And how do we not do this, ill go back again to the Peter Andre article, its not something we could add any more to to make it appeal to enthusiast's and make it any more "meaty" in any way what so ever. Of course, every bit of news is different for example posts about theming being repaired or what not will appeal to fan people more so than the GP. Ok and how do we not? You seem to think the GP are interested in rides height, speed, records, the ride pages display this, we have plenty dedicated to what would mainly interest fans such as Plans of rides, construction archives of plenty of rides also.
  21. And as had been said, we do offer that.Anyway thanks for the comments, we will bare them in mind.
  22. Quite easily IMO, we provide all the information members of the GP would ever like to know, and provide that bit more which interests enthusiasts. And we provide all that pretty well id like to think, but there going to be interested in things such as events, such as one you bought up the Peter Andre, thats going to be something who both the GP and Enthusiasts would be interested in. The link to the site makes it easy for people to take there interest further, also it makes it clearer to members of the GP we are not the official website for the park. There both here because of one thing, Thorpe Park surely? To be honest weve not had complaints before, but tell us, what would you say we should change out of interest? To a degree yes, and we do try our hardest too but we are only human, we cant all be exactly the same.
