  1. Would love to see a ride like Maverick at thorpe personally, could theme it really well, high throughput and could fit in a gimmick or so to keep the appeal to the GP.
  2. Nothings been changed - The limit is set to 200!
  3. Good to see you've finally realised Furious Baco is an amazing ride
  4. If you was to go when an events on id recommend staying on-site, you can pay around £50 for unlimited fastrack on the main rides and if on-site this will last you the duration of your stay. Fastrack is run pretty well in my experience, its not a place id like to have to queue.

Thorpe looks so bright and colourful from above!

No major surprise - its the only major coaster without one!

From the looks of the video on Sky / ITV the lakes look high but thorpe park don't look flooded yet, I noticed they are also offering their car park to local residents so id guess theres no immediate threat to the park
  8. I'm not so sure on that! Ive no doubt in a month or so times Flappy Bird will be charts with games such as Draw Sometime / Songpop which were majorly popular at one point but quickly fall away.

http://www.thorpepark.com/summer-nights/ Summer Nights page for 2014 now up
  10. http://thorpeparkmania.co.uk/page/angrybirdsland - have updated the page with a couple of concepts we created of what we think the entrance could look like from the plans

Could be worse - could of just had it as a solid concrete box and stuck a yellow (Or brown in this case?) pipe on it!

Open times have been updated on http://www.thorpepark.com/plan-your-visit/opening-times.aspx March 14th, 15th and 16th are now Preview days as are the 8th, 9th and 10th of October. The season has also been extended a week now ending on the 9th of November. Is this the first season that there are no 10-5pm closes on weekends at all?
  14. It didn't really have a queue as such, it had show times and people only went when the show was on which even then did generate a queue of people. I do wonder if they will make it into a queue for this like Ice Age
  15. I don't think its due to open till April so they have plenty of time.. need to decide pretty pronto though!
  16. I like the first one, but the second as a overall concept looks great IMO would be somewhere everyone could chill in the evenings other than the dome
  17. All references to "The Waterfront Hotel" have been removed so can only assume this wont be the name of the final hotel.
  18. A new entrance / theme to the Crash Pad / Waterfront Hotel? (look like that in the background) Would certainly give the new Crash Pad an edge / some uniqueness which can only be a good thing!

I don't see why everyone makes such a fuss.. What difference does it make to your day?
  20. People said the Saw was a dead IP... 1 new movie, 1 more planned and it being the parks most successful ride suggests otherwise
  21. Id of thought 2013 was thorpes lower budget year (if they still have the 1 large, small and medium budget years!) Am looking forward to seeing concept art and plans to see exactly what they are wanting to do.
  22. I don't think Thorpe are moving to far away from their thrill seeker market in all honesty. The problem is that it's a very targeted audience and since losing CCR / Time Voyagers there is really little new for anyone under 1.4 to really enjoy. X obviously helped but I do think a couple of years improving their family line up can only be a good thing, in the run up to what I can only assume will be a coaster aimed at thrill seekers
  23. I guess that's fair - although I'm hoping this is more a Saw kind of thing rather than a sponsor. Say what you like about the ride, it has some of the UK's best theming IMO.
  24. I don't get comments like this (I don't mean to pick on just you!) But we've not even seen plans for this area yet so I don't see what we are basing opinions such as this on?
