  1. Another update for all you wonderful people - not too much to report but at least there is still movement! On top of all the things their planning to bring to this resort they are also going to have a country park placed at the tip of the peninsula and also an exhibition center used for educational talks which revolve around Techno Expo which concentrates on technologies of the future. They're planning to make the most of public transport as they want to limit car use. To try and help cars go out at peak times though they are going to be hosting big daily carnivals and evening entertainment shows to keep people on site during peak traffic hours. Possible plans of 1 million school visits every year are also in the marks. There is still really big emphasis on making sure major British brands will play a part as they do not want a bit of American plonked in Kent. To help raise all the funds needed they have recruited the guy who helped get all the funds for the Olympic Games 2012 in order to happen and the only thing at the moment that will stop this from happening is if the 3rd Thames crossing is going to be built at the peninsula but I also know that there are many possible sites at the moment for the 3rd crossing and by the time the government get going the project would have already started to be built (fingers crossed) One thing I was surprised to find out is that they already have 5 years worth of plans on new rides, restaurants and shows planned for after when the park opens! Public Consultation opens up at the beginning of next year and if it goes ahead construction will begin in 2015. Hope you liked another update
  2. Father Christmas Hat Of Course! Frosty The Snowman or Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer
  3. Even though real tree's look fantastic they get WAY to messy when they start dying - plus you have to but one every year. Artificial Tree all the way, you pay one price they last for years, the one's you can buy these days look quite good as well and best of all no mess edit: Sidders beat me to it. Polar Express is a good I'm but I am obsessed with Nightmare Before Christmas to the extent I have posters and mugs plus it's Tim Burton & Disney - great combination. Now what makes you think it's now Christmas? The Coca Cola Advert or when Noddy shouts IIIIIIIIt's Chriiiiiiiiiiistmaaaaaaaaaaaas!!!

for me the BBC line up at christmas I'm really looking forward to Alice In Wonderland - just love the whole Tim Burton take on it. Up I am obsessed with in terms of Pixar films the only thing that beats it for me at the moment is Toy Story. The thing I love about Up is how you end up crying less than 5 minutes into the film and be laughing 30 seconds later!

right as the majority of my jokes are too rude to be screened I will share my first joke I ever learnt.... Why did the orange cross the road? It wanted to play squash.

Tell me about it! Then the way the night finished when the music stopped and then barely 30 seconds later people were screaming at you to get out.... I was extremely unimpressed. I ended up sofa sitting quite a bit of the night as the little group I was with were going off doing 'things' which didn't help matters.
  10. I was fortunate enough to be able to go to the towers a lot more this season and am fortunate enough to be able to do the same ongoing. However one thing I was really looking forward to during my visit to scarefest was experiencing duel: live as I have heard so much about it. I know it was my fault for not keeping myself up-to-date with things to experience that disappointment I felt when I realised it was not appearing for Scarefest and am now just hoping that it will one day return
  11. At Chessington I have never known throughout the many years I have gone there to have to pay extra to do an attraction. Same with Alton Towers & Thorpe Park. It's a pay once and do all type of affair. Only handing extra money over at fast track. I have seen you have mentioned the passing a few times as to why you think this may be normal. The Passing as with a couple of horror mazes at Alton Towers asked for an additional extra as these are not all year round attractions and are only there for special occasions so therefore the parks would be allowed to chrage this fee as it is an added extra. However the sea life center and every other thing that is open at the theme parks that is open all year will be included within the price of the ticket. I hope that helps you clear some things up for you

This DJ is proper annoying me - the music in the club is great music don't get me wrong but the way he is remixing everything you can't get into it. Like not even a full chorus or verse is played and then another song is on I wanna get into it for fudge sake!

  16. Whoever trolled Saw: The Ride for me hats up to them it went far too early! So good attempt but on a serious note it went rather smoothly I think, hardly any muck ups - time to concentrate on towers

Your both wrong (whoop I won) I opened up a supersonic basketball game against the hornets and the sonics playing the american national anthem live to american tv with a stadium of 100,000 people. In my last job in the music industry, we won the contract to do the sportsdirect.com adverts but needed to re-record the track due to copyright issues and I did that in my lunch break. However I am not in the new les miserable film - I turned up for auditions whilst casting as I needed some money but just missed out as by the time I got to the entrance they closed it (gutted) So if no one guessed what happens now?

Yep it appears so - They have left us for good at the old dungeons but we will see them back again at the new ones
  21. AJ replied to MarkC's topic in Nonsense
Right OK here we go 1) I have performed live in front of 2.5 million people 2) I am a voice over for the sportsdirect.com adverts 3) I am an extra in the new les miserables movie
  22. That video just made me very jealous that we don't have SegaWorld anymore - it brought back a lot of memories of that old London Classic. Never heard of a spinning launched inverted coaster before. Yes it's not very fast but it looks a lot of fun. Perhaps they're seeing how it takes off before they start speeding it up and increasing the intensity of it as I would imagine all of those things would be quite intense/ epic on the body if it goes above a certain speed.

Yep thumbs up to them for keeping it all working the majority of the time. See it can be done
  24. AJ replied to th13teen's topic in UK Attractions
I am not concerned in the slightest - its still just over 3 months to opening day. Personally for me I was surprised how soon saw was up as from my memory the track was never up till just after new year anyway on previous coasters. Also just because the track is going up doesn't mean they can't do other things at the same time. Things like theming will go up extremely quickly and I'm sure that that is being sorted at the studios at this very moment in time. Look at these new schools that ate built at the moment takes them ages to dig holes and demolish but the building comes as a jigsaw piece these days and goes up practically overnight. Sw7 pit is not a small hole either and from what I've seen they've done pretty well so far (speaking from observations of family and clients within the construction industry) and merlin would have taken into consideration delays and will pull out the workforce if things start looking sketchy as they have actually said a date and not spring 2013. So they'll make sure it gets done Recent attractions over the past few years across the park have been damn good of late other than the couple of exceptions, but their big projects have hit the mark. Overall the theming contributions have risen compared to a few years ago, and we are very fortunate they bother giving us this immersive theming when there's not really that much competition for merlin in the uk at the moment. People need to stop dreaming that we live in another country and have the big industry gurus on our doorstep and appreciate that for a little island we have some good contributions. We all got into this hobby due to our love for the industry and as time goes on people turn into these newspaper critics trying to find the smallest thing to knock it down because as time goes on people have seen more and therefore want more! I'm currently at the Winchester and looking forward to the experience on opening weekend
  25. OMG just looked at that video and the first thing I thought to myself - it's a self made puke machine, my body doesn't cope as well as it used to on that type of ride. GET ME ON IT NOW!!!!!! Southend will be seeing me in the new year looks wicked (and sickly)
