Yep thumbs up to them for keeping it all working the majority of the time. See it can be done

    The Smiler

I am not concerned in the slightest - its still just over 3 months to opening day. Personally for me I was surprised how soon saw was up as from my memory the track was never up till just after new year anyway on previous coasters. Also just because the track is going up doesn't mean they can't do other things at the same time. Things like theming will go up extremely quickly and I'm sure that that is being sorted at the studios at this very moment in time. Look at these new schools that ate built at the moment takes them ages to dig holes and demolish but the building comes as a jigsaw piece these days and goes up practically overnight. Sw7 pit is not a small hole either and from what I've seen they've done pretty well so far (speaking from observations of family and clients within the construction industry) and merlin would have taken into consideration delays and will pull out the workforce if things start looking sketchy as they have actually said a date and not spring 2013. So they'll make sure it gets done Recent attractions over the past few years across the park have been damn good of late other than the couple of exceptions, but their big projects have hit the mark. Overall the theming contributions have risen compared to a few years ago, and we are very fortunate they bother giving us this immersive theming when there's not really that much competition for merlin in the uk at the moment. People need to stop dreaming that we live in another country and have the big industry gurus on our doorstep and appreciate that for a little island we have some good contributions. We all got into this hobby due to our love for the industry and as time goes on people turn into these newspaper critics trying to find the smallest thing to knock it down because as time goes on people have seen more and therefore want more! I'm currently at the Winchester and looking forward to the experience on opening weekend
  3. OMG just looked at that video and the first thing I thought to myself - it's a self made puke machine, my body doesn't cope as well as it used to on that type of ride. GET ME ON IT NOW!!!!!! Southend will be seeing me in the new year looks wicked (and sickly)
  4. yay - that little addition will make my last couple of visits to the dungeons fresh and exciting - I wonder if it'll be in plague street, the old fire of london walkthrough or by looking at the advertising pic mrs lovetts street. (I personally hope its in the old walkthrough after bloody mary!
  5. ^All a matter of opinion at the end of the day, for me the top would have been quite different but that's whats fun about this game So the final results for 2012 are as follows: 1st) The Swarm 2nd) Stealth 3rd) Rush 4th) Nemesis Inferno 5th) Detonator 6th) Colossus 7th) X://No Way Out 8th) Tidal Wave 9th) Samurai 10th) Loggers Leap 11th) Rumba Rapids 12th) Flying Fish 13th) Depth Charge 14th) Rocky Express 15th) Mr. Monkeys Banana Boat Ride 16th) Storm In A Teacup 17th) Slammer 18th) Quantum 19th) Vortex 20th) Chief Rangers Carousel 21st) Zodiac 22nd) Saw: The Ride 23rd) Neptune's Beach 24th) The Showcase 25th) Storm Surge 26th) Wet Wet Wet Some surprising results came about this year and some have stayed consistent.
  6. Ill go for 3 I say you have most of them but not all of them
  7. Your correct - bubble works if you think about it is right near the zoo and they only need to open up a small bit of the park to get there however tomb blaster you'll have to go through another land to get there. (Mexicana) which would involve more staff than needed. Who knows it might change next year when zufari is open
  8. Cookie is correct so it's his turn

    The Crash Pad

Personally I see no need for the boat to transport you between hotel and park - the site is not big and better things can be used for the boat. Plus the boats used to transport you to the farm but stopped it due to the cost of running them and just relied on the CCR itself. There is only a need for it, if by any chance that access to it requires to go out the grounds go all around the grounds to come back in, and I can't see that happening.

    Music

Proper excited at mo just about to go see Rita ora Connor Maynard Example The wanted Calvin Harris Pink Girls aloud At the jingle bell ball - time to P-A-R-T-Y (Tinie Tempah arrived as a star guest that night and P!nk came down the stairs right next to me - I was in heaven - The best line up I have been to at a Capital Ball so far I think)
  11. Nemesis Inferno (1) Rush (5) Stealth (7) The Swarm (7) Stealth +1 Nemesis Inferno -1

    The Crash Pad

From my understanding, Saw: Alive is strongly believed to be going as I think the contract for it has expired. There has been rumours of the boat to hotel and back as well but at this moment in time it's all speculation but a speculation that has a few peeps saying it
  13. In terms of Blessed actually being there, I found an article that'll he will be playing him at the dungeons on the first week of its opening - I will find it for you later. The turning room is actually on the route of the tour so you will actually be entering the turning room from what the plans show
  14. Colossus (1) Detonator (4) Nemesis inferno (7) Rush (4) Stealth (7) The Swarm (7) Detty + Colossus- also hold up on the votes for the mo guys whilst I check into the scores only because there should be 30 points in play and there are currently 33. Not that doesn't add up if all started with 5 at the beginning of the round. Zalittleguy sneakily added a point to Rush even though no vote was cast to it so 1 point reduced. Cookie Dough in 1 round sneakily added a point to Colossus and Stealth even though the vote was for detty so a point deducted from those two as well. Cookie Dough please refrain from doing this this is the 2nd time now I've had to correct your votes! The scores above reflect my votes and amendments - you may now continue
  15. perhaps the links keep changing so people like us won't study the plans so hard.....lol Just a thought occurred to me earlier today, with the speculation of the turning room of what it is would that be something to do with Henry VIII as I know we will be seeing him in the new dungeons but of course on the plans there is nothing mentioning Henry - It just occurred to me. On a side note I am so Toats going Dungeons on first week of operation due to Brian Blessed playing Henry VIII for the week - excited much!
  16. To give credit to 'Thorpe Park 1979' just because you may find it a really bad ride does not mean other people do. There are a couple of people I know who find it their best ride in the park (shocking I know), and personally I don't find it as bad as the majority make it out to be even though it has got worse this year. My vote goes for Valhalla. I remember going on this for the first time just under 10 years ago not knowing the foggiest what it was about. I was just expecting your standard boat ride and boy how wrong was I. The effects, the theme, the darkness, the length, the wetness and its all coming from a UK attraction - I was blown away at the time as I was simply not expecting it to be so fantastic. Now when ever I go to Blackpool Valhalla and the Wild Mouse are at the top of my agenda all the time and are part of the reasons why I go back sooner rather than later.
  17. In Indoor old fashioned hearts & diamonds.....(would be epic being pinned to the wall in the turning room - won't be true but old school fantasy , or or (any thing just popped into my head) a scaled down version of hex....(once again I know that won't be the case - but still))
  18. Colossus (5) Detonator (6) Nemesis Inferno (5) Rush (5) Stealth (6) The Swarm (5) X:/No Way Out (3) Detty + X -
  19. Same could be said in my eyes regarding Saw: The Ride - but hey that has come in 22nd place! And there has been many rides that have beaten that that don't deserve to be.... Colossus (5) Detonator (6) Nemesis Inferno (4) Rush (7) Stealth (6) The Swarm (6) Tidal Wave (1) X:/No Way Out (5) Detty + Tidal - (Brilliantly themed but I don't want to get drenched as much as I used to and shiver all day)
  20. Colossus (5) Detonator (5) Nemesis Inferno (7) Rush (5) Samurai (0) Stealth (6) The Swarm (6) Tidal Wave (5) X:/No Way Out (6) Stealth + Samurai - Samurai is finally out whoop - Good Riddance. That round was over fast! RESET Colossus (5) Detonator (5) Nemesis Inferno (5) Rush (5) Stealth (5) The Swarm (5) Tidal Wave (5) X:/No Way Out (5)
  21. Nice try by trying to get Ripsaw in the mix but add elsewhere

    The Crash Pad

Ah I was wrong with it being by Swarm then - even so - for somewhere I just need to crash for the night after a bit of clubbing I ain't in all honesty going to care about the fact that my room is not themed. Or the outside for it for that matter. For one thing whilst in the park - if it's not near the Swarm as stated and on the other side of the dome, well your only gonna see it at the entrance, not in park. The car park is mainly gravel as it is. Secondly when I'm sleeping there I won't be that fussed what it looks like on the outside. As long as I can sleep reasonably for the night I'm happy
  24. When I found out about Zufari at the beginning of the year (I just love that name - simple and to the point, not too clever and perfect and quirky for the family) I was excited from the word go. It's an investment Chessington needed and it's just a perfect addition to the park in my opinion. In terms of the scale of the project it's a good scale - we cannot compare everything to our American counterparts - our parks don't have the land or the height restriction pass. For a UK addition this is a BIG project and will be unique to the UK and for the target market it caters for will get people talking about it. I unfortunately only went Chessington once this year in April and that was it after many years of often visits and I know this Zufari will be certainly getting me to the park more than once next season!
  25. Colossus (6) Detonator (5) Logger's Leap (4) Nemesis Inferno (7) Rush (5) Samurai (3) Stealth (5) The Swarm (5) Tidal Wave (5) X:/No Way Out (5) Detonator + Samurai -
