I think he was only receiving this sort of treatment and holding it all up because they were filming for the One Direction movie so probably had to do a couple of takes on some rides or something. I saw him come off Saw, shame I couldn't get anywhere near the ride photo kiosk due to his bouncers, I would've bought his ride photo and sold it for a few quid

Hmm I rode it on the 14th, you were probably just unlucky and missed it being open!

Personal opinion, I have found it rough a couple of times but not too often. It does give a lot of people a headache though.

Thursday 14th March 2013 Just going to leave a ride count as I did the Trip Report for my Annual Pass day visit and I'll just be repeating myself. Swarm - 3 Saw - 1 Stealth - 1 Colossus - 1 Inferno - 2 Rush - 1 Samurai - 1 Slammer - 1 Detonator - 1 Vortex - 1 Storm Surge - 1 (was actually decent, and I saw the Wembley Arch from the top ) Quantum - 1 Flying Fish - 1 Depth Charge - 1 Mr Monkeys - 1 Loggers - 1 Rumba Rapids - 1 Rocky Express - 1 Teacups - 1 As you can tell, the park was empty

I'm sure it's for safety reasons after the launch cable snapped last year, I may be wrong though, sure someone can clarify that.

Should be much much sooner than that, I'm thinking end of March beginning of April possibly.

This ride's so strange, went on it yesterday and had one of the best rides I've ever had on it, and it lowered straight away without the faff.

You don't have to book tickets, but you do have to pick up a ticket from the bag drop off point.

Luckily the queue was only about 5 minutes otherwise I wouldn't have been very happy

It might well have been £6, I can't quite remember, probably was £5 or £6. But they are trialing the free tickets for now.

Back row queue was a mess again first thing this morning. Queued up for backrow, got all the way to the batching bit where I was told by ride staff that I needed to get a ticket from the Dome. So went to the Dome and there was no one in the Fastrack bit there, went to customer services and they told me to go to the Fastrack unit at Depth Charge, they told me to go to the dome, went back to customer services and they then told me to get one from the Swarm entrance. Looks like they will be selling fastrack for backrow Swarm though from what I could see on the fastrack board, may have read it wrong but sure it said something like £4/5.

Travelling backwards in the dark is something that will make a LOT of people feel sick, trust me. One thing I'm looking forward to about the revamped X is the lack of sick shutdowns and smell of sick walking through the queueline!

Ahhh but then you get the Swarm ERT and photoshoot!

I'm starting to go through some of the acts announced and so far I'm liking the sound of Iggy Azalea, Disclosure, Baauer, Mallory Knox, The 1975 and Magnetic Man. Never listened to any of them before so would be good to check them out at Reading, obviously depends if they clash with anyone good.

Yep I'm there tomorrow, absolutely buzzing for Inferno, Detonator and Vortex! Hopefully it'll be quiet and we can get lots of re-rides.

Hmm if I'm in a group of people or at a TPM meet, then Rumba is great because you're all experiencing it together and it's a good laugh. But as a ride and comparing it to other rapids rides I've been on (Congo, Kali River Rapids, Popeye and Bluto's) it is absolutely shocking. I definitely think a spruce up is needed, or even a complete overhaul of the ride.
