It's not as if they'd be turning the whole train backwards. You can completely ignore the back two rows and it's the same experience as it was last year. I for one would be looking forward to riding it backwards, I don't even see the near misses on the ride anyway.
Yeah the construction of Stealth meant the Tidal Wave gas pipes had to be removed (I THINK). But there were rumours last season that they can link up Tidal's gas ball with Swarm's gas tank or something similar. Not sure if that's still possible but they were doing work in the Tidal Wave gas ball last season.
I must admit I completely forgot it was that Saturday too, so Fred's not the only one We'll make sure to post up more reminders in the relevant topic etc and could use Shoutbox to make everyone more aware right up to the day of the event in future.
The Swarm backwards thing would be interesting, not sure if it's actually possible but definitely something to keep an eye on as a lot of people on TP's status are talking about it.
Hopefully going up to Alton Towers with my mates for their first time in March/April (depending on SW7 ). I think we'll be staying in that Premier Inn in Uttoxeter, but is there good public transport links from there to the towers?
When comparing a day in July to a day in October you also have to take into consideration weather, ride availability, opening times, special events etc
You have to take into consideration that Alton Towers is far more spread out so it takes time to get from one attraction to another, whereas if you exit a ride at Thorpe you can walk straight to another ride within a minute.
Recently signed up to Netflix (woo!) and started watching Dexter. I'm addicted already, can't believe I hadn't watched it before. Shame only the first 3 seasons are on there though.
They were silly in the champions league last year, really under-estimated the opposition and played weaker teams to concentrate on the league which kind of messed up
