  1. Is this an updated version of the Photo Challenge then? Are we saying bye bye to that? Also, a question for this Challenge. Are we allowed to add photos to that photo for our advert? Or are we only allowed to edit that photo?
  2. I'm bored, so will give regenerating the quiz a go. Not that I don't think your quiz and the layout of it was bad or anything, I will probably change the way it is done slightly. So, anyone up for the quiz?
  3. Which photo won? Or was it a collection of both?
  4. 80p was the AP price, their original price was £1.
  5. Hopefully the 'new ride effect' will take place, and the crowds will flock to Wild Asia (well, Kobra especially) leaving Vampire and nearby rides with walk on queues. Maybe even Dragon's Fury for a short while with any luck..
  6. Isn't the reason for the repaint something to do with it being unsightly in its current location? That's also why the Towers are planning to relocate it soon? Unless, of course, I have just heard a bunch of rubbish...
  7. I fully agree with you. The themes of Sonic, SAW, Ribena Rumba Rapids (Thorpe), Beanoland (Cheesie) and so forth will never match up to those like Nemesis, Oblivion and so forth. However, if it is going to happen, which is looking more likely, then you do have to consider what would be better - sponsorship or collaboration? I'd say the a collaboration would be better..
  8. As I've said before, it might not be a sponsorship. It might be a collaboration. They are two different things with different results.
  9. All of this indoor section stuff is starting to get on my nerves if I'm honest. The plans do not show an indoor section on Kobra. I know plans can and do change, however, someone would have found out and said. Also, why have an indoor section on a Disk-o coaster!? It would not work very well. It would have to be incredibly well themed, positioned in the perfect place and make perfect sense to be there. It is a long shot that it would work - so why risk it? Moreover, it would feel better without an indoor section. Though I've never ridden a Disk-o of any kind, from the looks of it, I'd assume that going through an enclosed area would just ruin the 'feel' of the ride. In the end, the best chance of an indoor section would be in the loading area, and I just can't see it happening to be honest. Please don't think I'm saying don't discuss the rumour about an indoor section. I'm not. But I can't see it as a possibility. I doubt it will happen; that's my opinion anyway.
  10. I can't remember what I was wearing. But the colour looks about right, as do the sleeves. It might be because I see everything else as being right that I'm just thinking the clothes are a match.
  11. ^Oh my, I did go to the park that day! And it seems very me like; hands up, peace signs. Hair cut looks about right, as do the clothes. You get my vote for getting me in the photo! (Just so everyone knows, I will vote on what I think the best photo is, not that one because I'm in it. )
  12. Do you remember when you took that photo? I think the guy at the front right might be me! I'm going to hate voting on this challenge...
  13. Here's my one. The background changes by the week though...
  14. The beginning of the 2009 season was brilliant. I'm sure everyone remembers that there were squirters all around the ride and the massive amount of water before the tunnel; everyone would be guaranteed of getting soaked. Then, it got progressively worse. And worse. This does show that Thorpe can make these effects work - but it's just a matter of keeping them there. I wonder if this will be the year?
  15. Yeah, that really needs changing... EDIT: Which I have now done. Was going to do it sooner or later, honestly.

    Your Thorpe Park

Ah, how I have missed your creative, yet slightly unrealistic, futures ste.
  17. I was more talking about the name for Th13teen - I am in no way disagreeing that the ride itself looks fantastic. SAW, well, as much as I can't disagree with the fact it is a great ride, I'm more against the whole collaboration thing. As for Wild Asia, I've no problems with it.
  18. But will it be a sponsorship or a collaboration? They are two very different things which lead to different results...
  19. Another collaboration by Merlin? So this means we have SAW (collaboration), Th13teen (wow - original...) and Wild Asia (oh my, something remotely clever). Now this. Are they losing originality?
  20. I lost a shoe on the Trappers Trail... I used to love Thorpe in the old days. I remember running round the Flying Fish queue (which I always coincidentally timed so I could chase the Fish ) and then getting right at the front. Then getting a couple of rerides in different places and doing it all again! Then of course the full train circuit and all that. I remember in 2002 going past Inferno whilst it was being constructed and being mesmerised by it. Of course, I had to get the jetty back because I was afraid of going round the back of Canada Creek because I thought the wolves would break the bridge as the train went over it... I also remember when Ribena Rumba Rapids first opened and I was afraid to go on it because I thought "the berry people" kidnapped you, replaced you with robots and enslaved you for life in the dark, creepy cave. Yes, I have an over active imagination. That was irrespective of the fact I was glad to see Thunder River go because of the fact I was the only one in my family to get drenched to the bone by the waterfall which has now been taken out. Oh yeah, and who could forget eating at the BBQ. After the food was ordered, I went off to Miss Hippo's Fungle Safari for about 3 rides before lunch - I'd also pretend I was a taxi driver on it. Ah dear, good times indeed.
  21. Dairy Milk. As holtjammy stated, Galaxy can be a bit sickening after a while - Dairy Milk you can enjoy for as long as you booming well like without feeling sick....You just get sick after a while
  22. I refer you to Thorpe Park's official site
  23. Animation Five is actually meant to be crossbows; there is a noise (albeit very unheard due to the noise of the air firing at you) of crossbows being fired. However, I won't go into THAT argument again. ..Also, 103 degree drop? Surely you mean 100 degrees?
  24. I did think that at first, but then the Crossbow Scene wouldn't be Animation Five, like Fever said. Unless the Machine thing joins together with the Onload Station or Billy's scene? Which I would doubt.
