  3. Yes. Just passing on the news not out to look for a sarcastic comment. Also just pointing out its unusual for a park to be repainting a ride as they put themselves up for sale.
  4. Fantasy Island is officially up for sale. Surprised they are bothering to repaint Odyssey based on seeing this. http://www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/Popular-Lincolnshire-theme-park-sale/story-28339697-detail/story.html
  5. Have to say the more time goes on the more I like this game. Looks to be better than RCT World in my opinion. Two development diary videos have been released. A LOT of detail seems to be going into the landscape and buildings from the stuff shown in the latest video.
  6. They do talk garbage majority of the time, but it could be a good thing them featuring the potential ride closures as many more people will contact the park saying they think it is disgusting, prompting the park to think twice IF they are planning on closing some or all of these rides in 2016. Alton do seem to be a park that listen, they have reverted altered opening times in the past and scrapped Blade's removal due to many complaints just to name a few.
  7. It still plays that theme to date. Just that track was played more widely along with the other one in the area back in the day. It also played on the beach for a couple of seasons before the pop music.
  8. The lineup has virtually been released officially for a few days now via the park map on the official site http://www.hydeparkwinterwonderland.com/content/downloads/Winter-Wonderland-PRINT-Map_5.11.pdf
  9. Fair point comparing to Miss Hippos Fungle Safari. I still find it Shocking that a big company like Merlin just leave things.
  10. Why have four seasons passed and the ride not been removed? Surely they would have ripped the entire track up not just the damaged section adjacent to saw?
  11. These aren't necessarily a bad thing. It could mean that rides actually have some time spent on them during the season making reliability better in the long run.

  13. Wasn't its main reason for closing was the cost of fuel to run the train? Those costs are currently 25p a litre less roughly compared to 2011. I still don't understand how the whole thing hasn't been taken out if there are firmly no plans for it to return. The only part removed was literally the small section beside saw that was damaged by the cherry picker being stored on it for a couple of years. The ride does suit the demographic as they have gone for a more family friendly approach since last year.
  14. So slammer was open again today despite them saying it was closed for the rest of the season only two days ago. Strange.

Haha. Apologies if I sounded like I was having ago. Not how I meant it to sound, was Just surprised to see it open and thought it odd that the social media staff still thought it was closed.

Strange as a post on twitter two hours ago says slammer and tidal wave are the planned closures in response to a ride availability tweet. It was also completely dead yesterday with no work being done. But nonetheless if it is open then great news.
  18. Is it this?
  19. Some of the " film director" announcements used in 2014 and the couple of years before can be found here for those interested... http://www.wimbledonsound.com/fright-nights-at-thorpe-park/
  20. Yeah I just read this too. Would be a good choice for the park as they are high capacity at 48 riders per ride, something the park lacks in.
  21. Unlucky. It was being operated efficiently last Sunday on two trains and that was with virtually no queue.
  22. Mattgwise replied to Phill's topic in General Discussion
It seems that zeroing is such a common problem with the ride. It only has this issue as the ride lowers at the exact same place it starts. All other topscans I've ridden lower wherever and don't have this issue.
  23. Great video of the Scenic railway before opening. Includes some commentary about the ride and how it works.
  24. Yep they showed up around 5. All dressed as if they were going to a party or club. To be fair they didn't really cause much trouble from what I saw.
  25. Surprisingly upon arrival no random checks through the security scanners or bag checks either. I did think an event like this would have had that like previous years.
