  1. I was wondering last night, what was the old layout of Vampire's queue when it went through the doors?Does anyone have any pictures/ be able to give a brief description of what it was like and also why it was changed? Thanks
  2. Outfit do you know the gate figure for wednesday ?
  3. Do you mean actual capacity or "capacity" when the park is actually closed so the business doesn't completely ruin everyones day?Usually at "capacity" I'd say all major coasters at 90-120mins, all/majority of flats from 60-90 mins.At actual capacity, well probably 3 hours for major coasters and 2 for flats.Well that's what I'd guess, but the usual things would effect the queue's like weather, rides available/reliability etc etc.Edit: Silly me, thought this was in the Thorpe sectionFor Chessington at "capacity" 60-90 mins for main rides such as Vampire, Fury, Tomb etc and 60 at most for almost everything else I'd assume. At actual capacity, it's not even worth thinking about
  4. Ahh yes I heard of that, but I still wanted to know for sure. Thanks anyway <_<And to add to your question, If you could go over and do any of your rides again what would it be and how would change it?
  5. What were the other names/themes/ride types/ manafacturers considered for Thirteen?
  6. Yes <_<Rides open at this time are Nemesis, Oblivion, Runaway Mine Train, Hex, Sharkbait Reef and maybe one or two more
  7. I love this ride (obviously not as much as themeparkmad!) But yeah, it's great when you get the the bottom of the 2nd lift and everyones like "that was good" and everyone who's been on before is thinking to themself thats not even the best bit. That or alternatively people think it's finished

Anything changed to make it your best ride so far? Or did it just not suck as normal ?
  9. Ha <_<That is something I always see getting asked I bet it's so annoying for the people who work on that ride.
  10. I personally love Quantum , It used to be a lot better, but it's still awesome. To be honest I'd welcome it with open arms to Chessington
  11. Great to hear he's back <_<If only I could remember all those questions...
  12. The sound track was just amazing. The best dark coaster in the UK.
  13. I would agree, but like you say for some reason, it does seem to have had the most attention, e.g. refreshments to the queue and the dragon being re-painted a couple of times.
  14. I don't think they look too bad anywhere. But they really need a touch up, but so does a few bits of the park and I'm sorry I would put EVERYTHING behind Runaway's Rocks getting re-done/re-painted/re-vamped.
  15. That has actually been added this year as now when you first walk into Transylvania you are able to hear Bubble's music. :PThis also shows that there is now only one grave stone in the area before the station , lots more around the outdoor queue though,
  16. Thanks, actually understand and makes me a feel a little less of a douchebag.
  17. An absolutely amazing ride that was a fantastic experience. Meant that X Sector was a definite visit every trip, and in general a fantastic family coaster for the park.I think I know why it went, down to evacuation safety laws changing , meaning a relatively large cost would have been needed to make them up to today's standards, a cost that sadly, Alton weren't willing to pay even if I think they should
  18. Err excuse me?I've not seen Dragon Falls have problems EVER. Therefore when the ride is evacuated and there is a guy climbing all over the drop, and the ride is closed for a pretty decent amount of time I thought it was pretty unusual and thought that anyone visiting within the next few days may want to do know.
  19. I remember a few years ago when they used to be £5, but even at £8 that's cheap compared to in the States. Strangely they are one of the few things which is more expensive over there.E.g. My on ride photo on Expedition Everest was if exchanged from $ to £ about £15
  20. I assume it was just me then :PAlthough I did go on first thing in the morning and it was raining lightly and had been the night before so I'll put it down to being cold/not having warmed up yet
  21. Managed 3 rides on Rattlesnake today and whilst it was still absolutely awesome, it felt a lot slower than last year, was wondering if anything has been done. The brakes which were on seemed to be in the same place, but the lift seemed slower, maybe it's just me :PAlso, Rattlesnake today had a queue almost as long as the others, when Vampire and Fury on 50, it was on 40! Kobra was also only 45.
  22. I was unbelievably impressed with Kobra today, it has a very slow moving queue due to stupidly long times between cycles, but the ride itself was fantastic! The ride experience was actually very different to what I was expecting and was so much fun! Whilst I'm not a huge fan of the restraint system, it does result in an unusual and novel position to ride in. I couldn't agree more with everyone who says its faster than it looks, overall the ride was a great addition :PDoes anyone know why they weren't doing Express Passes for Kobra today? One of the VERY few days I have EP's and one of the 6 rides wasn't available, oh well. :DThe whole area was amazing, and Lorikeet Lagoon was another highlight of the day!
  23. Just thought I'd warn of what looked like pretty serious problems today on Dragon Falls about 3/4. Boat looked to be stuck on the main drop with a maintenance guy (can't remember there actual name) climbing over the conveyor belt over the drop. Other boats evacuated, but at about 4 the boat from the drop was no longer there, but the ride still not in operation, this was the last look of it I got so don't know if it was re-opened.
