  1. Jart for all categories, vote now closed.
  2. Everyone. Is. So. Nice. And despite rumours we've found it very reasonable over here - it's a hella lot cheaper than the UK to eat out. Most expensive meal was £50 at Disney for 3 course Japanese - outside of Disney, £40 at our hotel and I had wagyu fillet steak... Most of our meals have been less than £20 for both of us.
  3. Can't see a topic for them so just putting here - have now visited Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. Disneyland was great - if a little small - but DisneySea was incredible IMHO, mainly from the aesthetic of the place and true sense of traveling from one land to another. Mystery Island is amazing to walk through. The American area looks and feels awesome (ToT is bae) - and the staff across both parks are second to none. That's probably more of a Japanese thing perhaps but their enthusiasm, politeness and dedication to waving knew no bounds! PS. I hate the UK now and never want to come back from Japan
  4. Jart's continual silence = nothing new in 2018. Thread closed.
  5. I've really smashed it outta the park this year lads. Thorpe Park x1 Tulleys x1 But Disneyland Tokyo and DisneySea next week. Probs won't be as good as Thorpe though tbh.

    Wicker Man

It's more than just a wooden rollercoaster, it's an experience - at least, it is for the first three years until we remove any live actors, or pre-shows
  7. Some non-enthusiast friends rode DBGTROTD over fright nights and loved it. Genuinely. I know, I was shocked too Interested in this X removal, and like everyone else, I'm as intrigued as to just how they are going to get a top spin in there, but it's proof that Merlin are a determined bunch.
  8. Any significance in 2018 going dark red/bloody at the end? #enthusiastthoughts
  9. Yep that's the one! It was open on one of my very first rides - I sort of assumed it would be closed now anyway
  10. I'm going to start the Fright Nights 2019 thread in a minute
  11. DBGTROTD2 - world's first ride to have 2 extra endings tacked on in subsequent seasons after opening
  12. Yes agree on IAC - queue times app says Returns 2018 (unfortunately ) As much as I'd like a Slammer replacement, thinking about it, that's unlikely as it would have to be a "world first" flat ride to replace it! All things really would point to Swarm VR or something changing on an existing ride to make it a "world first" so therefore I am putting the idea of making Rumba a world's first rapids ride with laser guns a la Tomb Blaster into the hat. You're welcome.

There's a new SW8 video out from Alton Towers.
  14. Slammer replacement? Hope this isn't Swarm with VR but it would make sense as being a world first I suppose
  15. STANDBY LADS WE'RE GOING VERTICAL.
  16. Double post but sorry not sorry - are the photo point "decontamination" bits used in the queueline or are they shut off? I found one of the photo boarding passes from last year and was intrigued. I think I know the answer but will ask anyway
  17. You should be fine I can't see it being a problem getting all the rides you want to done!
  18. Yep free entry for WW. The rides... not so free!

    Detty moving to Legoland CONFIRMED.

Queue line interaction is fantastic until they put up safety fences and nets
  21. When does DBGTROTD get handed back to to Thorpe Park to be included in their budget? That'll save them a few quid when they scrap any actors There are indeed record numbers of tourists coming into the UK because of the weak pound at the moment so investors quite rightly won't buy that argument. Similarly, I don't believe terror attacks will have had any impact on visitor numbers - they have become (unfortunately) part of life in 21st century UK - and Europe.
  22. Sorry lads for the disappointment. ToT says hai.

    Logger's Leap

Is it safe to assume that Loggers won't be back for 2018? Or at least 2018 opening? I figure the amount of work that needs doing is not feasible over closed season with no visible changes on site so far this year...
  24. I know it's totes early but I'm sure the entire community at large will be pleased to hear that in 2018 I shall be available far more often for all bag holding duties and Stealth breaking at meets.
