  1. I am actually genuinely impressed. If this works
  2. Vortex's reference is KMG-2001-FRB-32-033-01 so is not affected it seems.
  3. The footage of the accident on a top-spin type ride in China from earlier in the year was also incredibly chilling - the difference was there, that China's "knock off" rides aren't renowned for their safety whereas this is an established and trusted manufacturer - one would assume that an error has been made in construction as it's a mobile version but who knows
  4. Is there any difference to the travelling type of Afterburner to Vortex at Thorpe, or is that simply a travelling model that's permanently in the ground?
  5. What's up with our bae, planenut? Essential maintenance?
  6. Shocking stuff The Telegraph cut the video - but a whole pod comes away from it's arm Is this a KMG Afterburner?
  7. World's First 1-person Top Spin inside a portakabin
  8. Has Vicky Balch commented on this yet? Am waiting for a tabloid article that somehow links this incident to The Smiler.
  9. See them in Old Town replacing Loggers soon
  10. I've grown to love Inferno too. It looks particularly good after a bit of TLC over closed season when they make sure mist, red lights, coloured wood chips etc. are all present and correct <3
  11. I'm taking none of this as fact - even the facts - until Jart appears.
  12. My mate is in a bluegrass band... so naturally asked these guys if they'd do a song whilst we were waiting for the haunts to open last year

She songwrites in her spare time (she's always been a musician) - at present it's not enough to be her full time job though! This is the first "big" cut she's had. And the trouble is, money for songs takes a long time to filter through - and when pitching for artists, things can change/fall through right at the last minute. She was down to the last 2 for a massive soft-drink ad campaign for example, and then they switched at the last second. It's a bit of a rollercoaster, if you pardon the pun... It's been confirmed yesterday that a song she co-wrote is going to be used as the end theme to the new series of Gundum Build Fighters (first episode airs 04/08)
  14. Fun times at AT today. Galactica and Enterprise currently closed... Rita 130 mins, Smiler 120 mins, Nemesis 120 mins, Thirteen 90 mins, Spinball 90 mins, Oblivion 70 mins, Mine Train 50 mins. Choo choo!
  15. Can't see them using the Sunken Gardens as a queue line - they'd get completely trashed

Can I have a little brag please? My super talented other half (now wife, to be exact but that makes me sound super old) - Becky Jerams - has a track she co-wrote on the K-Pop act Red Velvet's "The Red Summer" mini album. The album is currently #1 on the Billboard World chart, and the track itself "You Better Know" - which isn't even the title track - has has 1.5 million streams, 84,000 sales and charted at #14 in Korea I know we have some K-Pop fans amongst us so hope you don't mind me sharing.... those figures obviously don't include Youtube streams/usage above so we are super excited. Just a shame it takes a good a year or so for the first royalties to come through!
  17. One of my posts on Facebook recently got as many as 20 likes so I await my invitation to this year's press night.
  18. Yep it has to be a big coaster really - probably another woody to match AT's, they like to buy their coasters in bulk
  19. I'll have that Twitter user know that the smell of rubbish is all part of the abandoned themeing in various areas of the park.
  20. Anyone know when the IP runs out for IACGMOOH? Reduced operating hours surely means the beginning of the end, if it hasn't been said already.
  21. Assume Slammer is still sitting there untouched, complete with pigeon nest, currently? #Rip2ndBae

SW8 gives me a reason to visit Towers next year, that's already agreed between my friends and I - although I best not book any accommodation for a little while, what with the previous track records for opening dates. I have to say though, SW8 does seem to be progressing nicely. I'm sure the dry weather has helped greatly - if I recall, the summer when the Smiler was built was particularly wet!
  23. Ellen's Energy Adventure was a good laugh but it is quite dated now - amazing how even the "old" rides at Disney/Epcot are a lot more impressive than a lot of attractions over here The Great Movie Ride is "classic" Disney and we did enjoy it when we went - I remember laughing quite a lot at the animatronic Tarzan and his battle cry as he swang in on a rope
  24. Is the X Factor tie in the worlds first attraction? Surely not....?!
