  1. I'm getting the 08:07 train from Waterloo I'm afraid Dan. I want to get there early to sort out my AP, which I tried to do on Thursday but there was literally one person doing them. A friend of mine said he'd been queueing over 30 minutes!
  2. Me too!! Wahh well looking forward to this. My friend Emma will also be coming along. So the mission is to freak her out by people being as geeky as possible. Haha.Weee, I'll be on the train in 12 hours.
  3. ^ Haha spooky, our first paragraphs were eerily similar!I do agree, although as I said in the poll topic, it oddly enough works at Thorpe.
  4. Ahh it is a good effect and I hope it's maintained. I used to love it in it's opening year when they were on a sensor, so when the train was dispatched, it used to spray more. All that needs to be fixed now is that dispatch theme, properly. Oh and those flaming lanterns that have been broken for years
  5. Hoping to see a great turn out for this! Oh and Daniel, ^ that is dedication

    SAW: Alive

If this was combined as part of the queue for Saw- the ride, it'd be a winner, but as part of a separate experience I feel it fails to deliver really. Some of the scenery is quite cool, can't really fault them there, and the first time we went through you could tell the actors were doing their best :rolleyes:I'm kind of with Mark though, there's just no emotion of connection with the audience, I was constantly asking myself what role we were playing as the audience, not sure even the actors know
  7. Fantastic day today with some brilliant people.Highlights of the day was definately the 5 rides on rumba, with 8 people in the boat, seriously the waves were coming right over the boat. Still soaked now!Oh and also who can forget- Granny's ars....... :angry:Many many great moments but literally I am too tired to list everything. Thanks everyone

    Th13teen

HQ Th13teen ITV Central<<< Very spoilery!A much better report. Completely shows the ride in a different light and the details on the scenery look great. I keep watching the inside building, that's going to pack a serious punch! Whoa.

    Th13teen

Josh was referring to No Way Out, not Th13teen, in which you are right, is indeed manufactured by Intamin. I do agree with you Mark, and also Ste193. We're not talking about missing bits of themeing, we're talking about piles of dirt, construction fences and site offices still being there, and if it's in a similar state on Saturday, will not be acceptable. Although I very much doubt that it'll still be in that state. However if most things are complete, and it's just some minor cosmetic changes that need to be tweaked over the next few weeks, then that's fair enough. I know a lot of rides around the world where finishing touches are being done literally minutes before park opening.

    Th13teen

Yet more evidence that the video didn't do the ride justice- my mum literally thought it was the runaway train.I think the ride will be fantastic though, when completed, you can see there's the foundations for it to be the UK's best themed attraction and I have no doubt it'll be one of the best experiences across the resort. Really can't wait to see all the special effects, audio, and the general area!

    Th13teen

I felt the same at first. I don't think the segment conveyed the ride very well. Keep watching it and just look at the amount of air time though. Look at the reporter's hair. Just hope they get a move on and finish the area!

    Th13teen

After watching it a few times I'm quite excited about this now. None of the effects were working for the filming, so in my book we still don't know the best part of the ride, as we've kinda known what happens inside the building for a good few months now.One thing does concern me is that nothing looks finished. QUICK!

    Th13teen

Th13teen Station.Sneak peak of the station! Taken from Twitter and GMTV filming which happened this evening.
  15. I keep looking over the pictures taken form the AP day. This is the first sponsorship where I've seen direct benefits. There is something about that roof on the bridge that I like, though that splash zone splat is tacky.I think I can live with it though if it means we get some of the effects fixed.

If you'd have looked at the previous page then you would be informed that she is in all three blips, as part of a subliminal flash in the second one.I think the girl is someone who has been taken by the living forest, I quite like the Rita idea, but I can't help but think we're reading too much into it. The blips are obviously doing their job well!
  17. Haha, you silly bean ;-)

    Logger's Leap

Really depends on the weather, if it's forecast to be warm then try and do it early on in the day. The thing I find with Loggers is that the queue does move quite quickly, and if you're in a group it tends to be quite fun with the music.
  19. Awesome pictures Michaela! I loved the ones of Ashok and the tiger.... Kalinga? I can't remember.
  20. Obviously here at Mania Hub, we would rather our younger members told their guardians the truth about attending these trips, that way if anything was to happen to you, then your parents would at least know where you were and who you were with.Of course, it really is up to you what you decide to do. The meet ups are really good fun and a good way to get to know other Mania Hub members, we're all relatively easy to get along with and love meeting new people!Shame to hear you're not attending Daniel, hope to see you and everyone else who can't make it at the next meet.
  21. Perhaps show her the site and the meet photos. Also it should be reassuring for parents to know that there are several other 14-18 year olds attending the meet up.Keep pestering and they'll give in eventually
  22. Basically it's the rush of blood to your feet after the high amount of G Force experienced on the ride. It will take a few seconds for the blood to get circulating properly again.I always just wiggle my feet and toes before I get off and it usually sorts things out for me. Don't get off too energetically
  23. The signs do look good freshly painted. I've always loved Colossus' entrance, glad to see it's looking like it did 8 years ago now, can't believe where all that time has gone.

    Rita

I love the little screws that kind of give it an industrial feel, supporting the 'distressed' look of the ride. I must stop with these little observations.
