Yep, so many times when they drive right up your arse when you're a learner... It's so much rage-filling...However, so gratifying when you over-take someone on a dual carriageway

99% of the time, it's not you, it's the other pillocks around you...So many people cannot drive... FACT...

Question Time
Sounds like our time in the Thirteen queue on opening day when it did not feel like 90 minutes...Amazing what a constantly moving queue does...

Is Alton Still Going To Be No.1 In 5 Years Time?
Parks should not be solely judged on how intense their rides are... If that were the case, Disney would not be the best parks in the world...And Thorpe will eventually run out of room, there's only so much infilling that can be done by the park, and of course Towers has the bigger issue of having planning permission issues as well...It's all about experience with parks, and Towers provides a much more complete experience that no other park in the UK can compete with...

Bubbleworks
Not completely, a few scenes have still retained the duck quacking music... Backlash? I think there would be a queue of people outside the ride waiting to remove as much crap as possible (I.e. the entire ride's scenery)... I know I would be...And reverting back is definitely wrong... The ride does need to move on and I doubt any change would be generally regarded as good if they put as much effort into it as the original version received...And not just one person owns the old stuff, a fair few different people do... I know someone who has the finale Professor for example...

Question Time
To disprove that point above, I queued for 2.5 hours for X and didn't enjoy it... If only human psychology was so simple... There's too many internal and external factors that need to be considered (I.e. How the ride is being run, location of queue (shade, coolness, etc), actual ride experience)...

The Smiler
A mixture of both tbh...A short launch going into a whole little twisty section in the woods of Dark Forest, followed by then the original epic double drop into the valley... NOM!

The Big Bad Movie Topic
Attack the BlockA good little film that probably no-one else watched... Very Dr. Who esque is the way most of the film could well be spent hiding behind the sofa with plenty of jumps, gore and some actual going against the grain by actually as well...Decent CGI considering it's an Indie film funded by the National Lottery... I enjoyed it and a good recommendation...7/10

- Which UK Theme Park is the best for Halloween events?
I think it's a case of whether or not people care about the mazes, or count lighting as theming...Towers was very well lit last year, but... The theming around the park was sparse and didn't really have much 'effort'...I dunno, since I don't bother with the mazes so probably that's where all the theming was hiding... Thirteen Live was done well though...- Thorpe Park Trip Reports
A quiet day means 15 minute queues on all major rides?Mer hasn't been to many quiet days at other parks- PR / Marketing
Wish they had listened to it... [/obvious joke]Yeah, it's a very random one, and not exactly challenging and on a really random dead day... Why not do it to drum up interest for the actual summer season?- You've Been Framed: TPM Appreciation Society

Bloody enthusiasts desperate for some silly bit of 'exclusive' merch... Probably the same people who are ripping the Fanta wall apart in Oblivion's queue...- The Smiler
http://www.thegravitygroup.com/Images/PR-111808.pdf Remove Rita, replace it with an epic valley based launched wooden coaster... It's easy this idea malarky... World's First and innovative (Since apparently that's the only thing that makes a good coaster)...- Question Time
It works for Heide Park- X

If Towers got an exact clone of Fluch von Novgorod, they would see a profit...Our park attitudes stink... Don't want stories, hence minimal theming, too busy focusing on gimmicks instead of quality now...There's a reason Nemesis and Oblivion are world class...- The Smiler
You don't have to build something innovative or new to build a good ride...And surely parks should be attempting to challenge viewpoints... As Sheepie said, Tussauds of old just focused on providing the best rides possible with the advice of people who know what they're talking about, if Nemesis, Oblivion or Air weren't around I doubt people would think they would be 'safe'...- Question Time
It should be one of the top priorities park's focus on when adding a new ride...Look at how shocked everyone was by Thirteen's immense throughput on opening day... A full queue-line posted 90 minutes and the queue reduced to 20 minutes later in the day...An great throughput means less queueing for everyone, which makes everyone happy... Queues are always better when they are constantly moving, I will compare my experience of Thirteen and Air's queues on my last trip... Air's was so bloody slow and made everyone irritable and unhappy, yet Thirteen involved lots of jokes and merriment... Not hard to tell why...I would say major coasters for a park need to aim for over 1000 pph MINIMUM, whilst support ones between 600-800 pph... Look at how depressing Fury's queue is to see why this should be...- Holly, Ciarran and Callum's Legoland trip 13/06/11
Swear from all the reactions I've read you're the only one who likes Laser Raiders ;)Did you enjoy scanning for fish as well? Submarine Voyage looks pretty decent...- Random Picture Thread.
