Fright Nights 2017
Oh the irony... Guess since there's already been a number of Walking Dead attractions across the globe (many people here even going on one), and a show that has had a fair wave of popularity (but seemingly has lost a fair number of viewers over last season), and zombies being unbelievably cliché in terms of Halloween events there's no real surprise that there is some distinct lack of hype for some... Just resetting the IP button does not an event make... Roaming actors aren't new (and will probably be dull since zombies can't interact in terms of the series), the cinema thing isn't new (I can't even remember when that last happened), and I bet the park will still not have any real effort be put into decoration (which only Chessie really do anyway)... It's strange how Thorpe are addicted to IPs like this, yet Towers doesn't need one for Scarefest and seemingly has put out original high quality mazes for a few years now... I do half expect the indoor maze to be similar to the other ones found at Universal and Movie Park Germany... And it's a strange choice to have as a thing which will only get any real appreciation from avid watchers of the show like any IP really, but as many of these things tend to lack THOSE characters of time with them (whoever the man with the bat is for example, or CORALLLL), means that you're kinda just left with generic Zombie horror for everyone not picking up on details? Thorpe probably didn't help themselves with the overhype of this, though that is a Merlin trait rather than uniquely their own misgivings...

Cost effectiveness, need more storage, Intamin system isn't very good (it's MEANT to stack?)...

Thorpe Park Engineer Salary?
Thorpe's (or any park engineering team) I believe are on standard contracts so get a proper wage rather than an hourly one (I too looked into it a few years ago now)... Average you're looking at for a mech eng is around £25-30k... I'd assume most of Thorpe's are at the lower end (or less depending on experience)... Might be an idea to keep an eye on Blooloop for any theme park (or leisure industry) jobs going...

Walt Disney World Resort
Given that Mack already bettered the Mega-Lite layout, a better version of JOYvelen is a happy prospect indeed...

Chessington General Discussion
Who honestly cares that Peeking Heights goes? The ridership was so low in general it's not exactly going to take anything out of the day... Was utter turd for it's duration...

Fright Nights 2017
Probably needed to get rid of something to cut costs, Face It Alone is clearly the easiest thing to get rid of as it stops the requirement to hire actors for longer (as well as whoever else would be around for it)...

Favourite Coaster Drops
Hopefully the new trains make the experience better, since the old ones juddered around into position making it very dodgy... Tonnere de Zeus has a great first drop in the back... Goliath at SFMM as well has a great "oh balls" feeling... Honourable mention to Phantom's Revenge for having a great first and second drop combo...

Wicker Man
- Heide Park
Think they're planning on making the decision by end of year. So could easily be a 2020 new for if they levelled it, 2019 of a RMC conversion...- Heide Park
Could build a RMC (or anything actually good) for the amount to fix it... Scary that the ride requires that much to fix it though... What the hell they been doing with it?- Efteling

Or it's all just Towers putting in FAKE CLUES to get the clearly bored enthusiasts excited about this. SAD!- A Gold Rush To The Fall of Phantasialand: Operation BillyBird
The BillyBird cred is so daft, I'd love to have ridden it more if it wasn't for the stupid climb back up to the station... Movie Park does have a bad rep, though I wonder if that's a leftover from the days before it had anything good? Bandit is bloody terrible though, however not as awful as Coaster Express... I'd be happy to see that entire end of the park levelled tbh...- A Gold Rush To The Fall of Phantasialand: Operation BillyBird
Also I'm sure there is a "definitive ending" on Feng Ju where the couple embrace (but because of how suddenly it ends if you blink you'll miss it)...- A Gold Rush To The Fall of Phantasialand: Operation BillyBird
Jesus Christ a person who dislikes Phantasialand! Slagharen has a fab little dark ride, but that's all you missed, besides, only one other park on the same day? Pfft, I did 4 when I did Slagharen (and it DOES annoy me that I have to revisit)... But trying to do not even half a day at Phannyland is ridiculous at the best of times, let alone a big event day... It's definitely a culture thing, and probably works better given that the parks tend to be open for decent periods during busy days...- The Big Bad Movie Topic
The VVitch is one of the most over-rated pieces of boring tosh I've had the misfortune to see... Can someone who loves it please actually go into some actual depth of their own opinion as to why it's so good?- Chessington Howl'o'ween
It's a bit grim and nonsensical really... Think a lot of parks forget that adding stuff just for the sake of adding stuff isn't always the best solution to something... Though that has made me imagine a what if the Vampire lift hill was completely enclosed, you'd be deaf by lift 2 sure, but would probably have some potential...- Fright Nights 2017
What is this I don't even?- Chessington Howl'o'ween
There a pic of this? Sounds like the old Great Wall tarp they put up on Dragon Falls a few years back...- Rant
Most tend to have a sort of 'queue jump' system nowadays where if it does reject you you get led directly to a person... I love the plane rush because it's SO ridiculous, though it only been down to the allowing actual luggage on the flights and people MUST have it in the overheads... People watching is so fun when travelling anywhere though really...- Chessington Howl'o'ween
They're all crap...- Park Operations
It's not about stalling though is it? Can't imagine Vortex would like a strong gust of wind hitting it, whereas Zodiac would probably fall apart... - Heide Park
