Just get new trains and solve the problems in one go.

Benin got a reaction from JoshC. in What do you generally favour in a coaster?
That when I hit the brake run I desperately want to ride it again.
Of course there's other factors that could affect that (busy park/cred run so limited time), but I just want to come off and go "yes that was good".
Granted my trips have been non-existent for a few years now, but Untamed was a great example of not being the tallest or fastest coaster I've ridden but coming off it with a sense of enjoyment and eagerness to ride it over and over again. Lost Gravity had a similar response though not as strong.
Cedar Point after doing TTD was a pure adrenaline rush. However I came off a number of coasters there including Millennium Force with very little desire to re-ride them. Whether it be comparison to other coasters or just kinda falling flat.
If I went super analytical I'd wager most at the top would be B&M Inverts. But the likes of Raptor down the bottom with a top 3 of Nemesis, Katun and Oz'Iris, all very different coasters to each other but ones I could ride over and over.
Stats are meaningless if the actual ride is dull and doesn't have any wow factor. Which is why I'm dubious over Exodus.

Fury can't run 8 cars and I believe hasn't since it first opened.
Usually 6 or 7 cars. Target was approx 600-700pph.
Doubt Tomb Blaster runs 5 trains either. Its shocking that a number of once fairly high throughput rides are so badly operated these days.
Lot of this concerns me that when I visit I'm going to spend most of my time being far more annoyed than normal.

Flip Flop at Mingoland is far more sickly than say Loke or Maelstrom.
Though being at Mingo is vomit inducing at the best of times.

Broken clocks tend to be right twice a day.
Reference to spinning cars, well Mack are doing them on other rides.
Could open in May? Well if not March for presumably the 2024 opening will likely be after Easter holidays as seems to be the new normal these days. Ergo May isn't exactly a difficult guess.
Logical guessing with a side order of utter tosh that got old about a day after it started that none of the Mods can be bothered to do much about. Which leads me to presume it's something encouraged by the Mods in the name of engagement or they can't be bothered to do anything.

I would sell my soul for Exodus to open tomorrow just so we never have to listen to this nonsense ever again.

Offering it at an "affordable" price is problematic, as what will happen if they get loads doing it?
Also lessens the benefits of staying in the hotel. Why stay there when you can in theory save money, stay offsite then buy this?
Maybe if the park had built a sensible new area and operated the park sensibly wouldn't need to even offer this to allow a number of guests to actually ride the first new coaster in nearly 20 years.
Adds to the general class divide. Can rest assured a number of MAP holders who wear them proudly on lanyards will lap this up.

So unique there's a ride at Grona Lund with the same name 😉
Would be weirdly on brand with Thorpe to push some Egyptian stylistic theme and promptly name the ride after a Greek myth instead.

Benin got a reaction from Inferno in Project Horizon - New “indoor attraction” being built in Coaster Corner
Can't help but feel it's a bit too much on the nose and working exactly as wanted to get the enthusiasts community going a bit crazy over teases.
I'd be annoyed that they'd bring the first RMC to the UK and almost waste it on an indoor attraction though. Especially when it feels that the project in general seems to be just a coaster in a box rather than taking the chance to completely redevelop the surrounding area.

Mingo also has a more recent issue of removing seats off of things like Flip Flop and Pterodactyl, further reducing throughputs.
Guess the caravan park been a bit quiet with the poor weather. But those throughputs are god awful no matter what way its spun as "only" 40 minutes. Would've been far less and a far higher ride count if things were run even slightly better, but sounds like maintenance wise there's a lot of issues with stuff breaking down often.

If Rocky Express doesn't win this then this website deserves to be destroyed.

Benin got a reaction from Cornflakes in The Curse at Alton Manor - NEW for 2023
Some YouTuber mentioned it and as such it's gone overboard as people jump over themselves to present opinions as facts as to why its a FAILURE OF AN ATTRACTION rather than a simple solid addition to the park.

There's a lot of "make it like the original version" in there again.
Think most people could've figured out Sub Terra was going to reopen given all the work happening around it. Plus it was a rumour every year since it shut in the first place. Do think that people place way too much value on the words of specific coaster influencers these days. Almost to the detriment of forming their own opinions.
Sure they've got a list of improvements to make, given John Burton had been spotted around the ride and all the various surveys again not a difficult assumption to make. Depends what budget and plans are available if it makes much difference.

Wonder if the 7-9 age range also found the original Haunted House scary. I certainly wasn't a fan of those attractions at that age (still not big on scare attractions either).
However times have changed. Cheesey lite dark rides aren't the in thing, and the rise of mascot horror and modern tastes require different approaches. I do wonder how much of many opinions is down to nostalgia almost, and perhaps giving the original Haunted House far more of a aur around it given a lot of younger enthusiasts didn't ride it. And due to those old enough to have ridden it in its hey-day of the 90s saying it was great has pretty much led to a very skewed view on things. See also those who wanted the original Bubbleworks back, it was never going to happen, and nor should it have given how times have moved on and it would've been a poor imitation anyway.
This isn't helped by the way in which John Wardley is seemingly viewed these days as almost messiah-esque. He's literally a PR mouth for the parks now, nothing more. Given his comments on how they've done something great to the capacity of Mandrill Mayhem it's clear you cannot believe things that come out from him in such events or press bits. Which is a shame given that he's inspired many enthusiasts to follow such a career but I guess it's heavily managed by Merlin as to what he can and can't say.
Haven't done Curse yet, not going to Towers whilst Nemesis is shut. But it's clear that there'll always be some divide over the existence. Whether it be down to those who push the mystification of the original, or those who miss the brain dead version of Duel.
As a filler ride to most peoples day it seems fine enough. Definitely seems some improvements need doing and we've yet to see what the newer version of Merlin's approach is to such things. Dark rides are often difficult to get right first time after all, even the original Haunted House had its issues, and Hex hasn't always been the atmospheric powerhouse it is today.
Also can we ban the term "thoosies" on here. Honestly makes me want to vomit when I see it. Stupid Coaster Twitter.
