  1. I hope this goes ahead, as it would see the back of those blasted shipping containers for good!
  2. A dark ride at Thorpe would be fantastic, as that's something they need more of. It would also fit with the new direction they are going in.
  3. I must admit I am very jealous of those able to visit midweek when it's dead.
  4. I'm in Brean that weekend, otherwise I might have attended. The Dodgems look good so far!
  5. Are they doing this on purpose now? Three spelling mistakes is too much!
  6. The Swarm seems to have picked up some force this year though to be fair.
  7. Thanks for sharing, I wish I could visit on dead days like this!

    That's good to hear!
  9. They kind of got away with it before as it was Amity Fish and Chips (I know there was still pirate theming there if you really looked for it, but that was just laziness) whereas now it's completely split. Still, it does look like the entrance sign will be good!
  10. Just as I thought then. Judging from the sign it will completely slice Amity Cove in two
  11. Yes, there really is. It fits in a darn site better with Inferno than with Birds fired at each other!
  12. Agreed, but I wouldn't want Detonator to be changed much as it fits in well with Inferno IMO.
  13. The one for the ride looks better than the film one
  14. I'm not sure because I've seen Whirlwind at Lightwater Valley run with about five people on it!
  15. That's not really a fair comment - Shambhala doesn't make Khan look small and pointless (based off pictures anyway), and PMBO at Blackpool circles a lot of coasters but doesn't make them look any smaller.
  16. I really like that advert! It plays on the strengths of the setting (an island), shows all the icon rides and I like the cartoony shots of the park.
  17. Thank you for talking some sense on the subject!
  18. It's always been there but it's usually just the ring of fire nowadays (without it being on the track). I think I did actually see the fire on the track when I was younger, but it's been put back into use this year.
  19. I agree about the website and thoroughly dislike the new one, at least the old one had character!

Well, what's operating a roller coaster with evacuation lights on got to do with lasers? I'm not talking about the LED lights that were added over one of the stops, I'm talking about when they ran the ride in the light (not effects, just bright evac lights) on. How could that be related, as with the lasers it's not that light?
  21. Agreed, I saw the fire on the track for the first time in years back in April and it's amazing! After the first right hand turn at the top of the second lift hill there are two huge hammers which usually come crashing down either side of the boat and splash water over the top of the wall. You probably wouldn't notice them if they weren't working - I did as I know the ride back to front haha!
  22. The difference is that BPB do it properly, I don't call sticking a massive TV screen over the entrance stylish. What signage are you expecting around the park? All coasters have their own logo, which is displayed on the signs.
  23. I've seen various people pay full price, plus I've been told the percentage of people who pay full price, so saying "absoloutely noone" is rubbish. Still, it's unacceptable even for passholders as they've gone out of their way to visit the park.
  24. No there's never been any fire there, the face projection is always there. (Was that working?) There are two plinth fires at the bottom of the lift hill though, so if one of them wasn't working properly it could have come from that. (Or even from the fire at the end of the ride). I'm jealous - the two hammers weren't working at all when I was there! Great that they've sorted it out though!
  25. With topscans the faster and crazier the better!
