  1. Looks good. I hope they put theming on the warehouse to the right of the drop though, otherwise it will look awful.
  2. Looks so much better than Tomb Blaster! The LED targets ruin it and it is too light as Tomb Blaster in my opinion, bring back Terror Tomb/Forbidden Tomb!
  3. Remove the preshow, have an indoor queueing space with an edited version of that video playing. Scrap the lemur, it is awful and just have "Chase" talking to you telling you what he tells you at the beginning of the preshow.
  4. Either way, it takes away the reridability of it which is never a good thing. There should at least be the option to skip it and go straight onto the ride, maybe give you something once you have been on it once that you can show so that you don't have to watch it again. It's a pain to be honest.
  5. It's poor, but they are using the clever tactic of not showing the majority of website visitors that it is closed, then if there was a complaint they could say that it is clearly shown on the website.
  6. Haha, the amount of problems with this ride already! And it hasn't even opened yet
  7. I would reride Zufari but can't because of the stupid, p**s poor preshow. They should either scrap it or give people the option to avoid it, it really is stupid.
  8. Back To The Future. And a dark coaster, not 4D cinema. (I know it won't happen because it's outdated, but it would be good)
  9. Thorpe park is fairly flat, there is quite a steep(ish) hill going through the Colossus area but it can be avoided by going past the Crust Building and heading past Saw Alive (which is closed) - it will bring you out at the Saw area, or vice versa. Don't think there are any other hills at the park really - although I don't think there is any form of disabled/avoiding the steps entrance to Rumba Rapids.
  10. A dark ghost train style ride but with intense scares would be good and fit the target audience. (Like Terror Castle at Brean Leisure Park but on a bigger scale - would fit in really well IMO, it actually produces geniune fear in some people!) http://youtu.be/pUXAP0jTGEI
  11. SUNDAY 28th APRIL Time In Park: 9:30am - 1:00pm RIDECOUNT: The Swarm x3 X x3 Stealth x2 Slammer x1 Detonator x1 Nemesis Inferno x1 Colossus x1 Rush x1 Tidal Wave x1 Rumba Rapids x1 Quite a good ridecount considering we weren't in the park that long and that time included buying and eating lunch (Calypso BBQ)
  12. Looks horrendous, I hope they replace it! (And Dragon Falls...)
  13. I thought it was good, a far better use of the space than it is now! (Nothing...) Thorpe need another dark ride/attraction, they only have one...
  14. The theming is quite good, although I do feel that they have left it to rot too much on Inferno (even with the slight improvements that had been made this year).
  15. There were smoke effects in X today. One thing I did pick up on though (which is quite frankly hilarious,) the NEW queue board is showing "X:/ No Way Out!" Only Thorpe...
  16. Some seats have belts that tighten throughout the ride for some reason. It was quite a problem at the beginning of last season (when it was new) if I remember rightly, but it seems as if it has been sorted mostly this season - only a few seats do that now I believe.
  17. Exactly, and the average attendance rate (I believe) is 12,000 visitors, the majority of which use the monorail. It's capacity is not high enough.
  18. Yes but staff should just say to the stupid guests "This queue is called SINGLE RIDERS, it clearly states that you cannot ride in your group" and whilst it doesn't work on Air I can see it working well on The Smiler. (As long as it is like Nemesis with a queueline into the station rather than holding people back in the queue, as that is just a silly system to be honest...)
  19. Well exactly, a throughput increase would be good because the queue is usually ridiculously big for it! (I know it basically has to take most people going to the park but that is even more reason for the throughput to be increased in my opinion).
  20. Can't believe they ripped out a classic coaster for something that is aparrently (from what I have heard) rough, horrible and probably won't even bring more people into the park!
  21. Why?! It doesn't cause any harm to guests in the normal queue, and nobody is forcing you to use single rider! All it does is provides a better service for guests who don't mind splitting up or are on their own. If they got rid of the single rider on Nemesis then people who go on the ride multiple times would only get on once or twice in a day! It really isn't doing any harm...
  22. Would be good if they advertised that then!! IMO it should be just like any other theme park when you turn up and just walk in, rather than having to queue up for a monorail etc... There are plenty of places where the car park is right next to parts of the park, so the park should have been designed for the entrance to be where you can just walk in.
  23. Because the reason for them not getting the same returns might be because they are not spending. (I know they built Zufari, but I can't see it bringing many more people to the park like a new rollercoaster would, especially when it's not even that good...)
  24. ERT at Towers is pretty pointless, you spend most of the time getting into the park. (And don't even get me started on that rant, most stupid park entrance system ever! Clearly just put in to make money from the express parking!)
  25. Ok thanks, I was just asking out of curiosity. That's a bit poor though tbh!
