  1. I think it's just maintenence rather than huge changes. It seems strange that it is taking so long though because they replaced all the flumes with identical ones before the winter closure - but maybe they have unforseen problems?
  2. The Waterpark I visit quite alot : http://www.basingstokeleisure.com/aquadrome I think that my two favourite waterparks are Sandcastle at Blackpool and Blue Lagoon in South Wales. (Next to Oakwood theme park)
  3. Yeah but it's always nice to have some theming whilst in the ride area/queueline, as well as for the actual ride experience. Some theming can add to the ride though, even if you only see it for a few seconds as you go past.
  4. Surely more theming would add to the atmosphere though? (As long as it was done correctly etc...)
  5. Looks very big and bulky for a billboard. As for capacity, it won't be that bad because the queueline will (probably) stay as one main one for all seats, breaking off at either the baggage drop area or the station, so the queueline will probably still move at the same speed as before.
  6. Can anyone confirm whether The Sanctuary will be a charged attraction when it is open in March?
  7. Liking the game so far, haven't unlocked anything yet though. As for The Smiler, I hope that it will have some indoor queueline themed similar to the waiting area for The Sanctuary - because I think that "false sense of security" atmosphere was really good and would be good if it was incorporated into the ride somehow.
  8. Where did you find that out? I don't think I'll be bothering with annual pass day, as much as I would like to go to the park sooner it's just too much hassle, why are they only letting 1000 people on the backwards seats? I hope that doesn't mean it will be limited throughout the whole season, because that would be very complicated.
  9. That doesn't mean that it won't be good though. If themed well and made to look new, I think it will be a good addition to the park. Wonder what the junior coaster will be?
  10. You posted it in the February half term topic! Twice!!
  11. I will ride anything regardless of roughness, but I have to say that Saw is one of the worst. It's strange because some of the ride carriages seem to ride worse than others, but regardless of which car, your head hits the headrests a number of times. Oh yeah, and the jolts at the bottom of the hills... Ouch.
  12. Can anyone remember where this was played? I remember hearing it at the park years ago but I can't remember where.

It's more a case of installing speakers all around the queueline at a general volume rather than just one/two in one place meaning that it has to be loud so that it can be heard throughout more of the queue.
  14. Peeking Heights is run very poorly, you simply go round it once, but stop a lot of times whilst people get on and off - quite pointless really. With regard to Storm surge, either use it to it's full potential or remove it. Small things like these would make it so much better: - Spinners on the track to be fixed so the raft actually spins - Make some attempt to theme it better - start with putting something over the awful frame at the top of the lift hill - Get a water vaccum to get the water out of the rafts (Like Valhalla at Blackpool) Obviously I would rather they just removed the horrible thing but if it has to stay they should at least use it properly.
  15. How can people be judging the billboard yet, we haven't even seen it?! A badly edited image does not represent in any way what it will actually look like, it just provides us with a representation of the sort of shape it will be etc. I hope it will look good and I'm sure it will, they could even have mist coming through the gap but that's probably not going to happen considering we already have mist under the plane wing.
  16. I hope Thorpe keep Calypso BBQ the way it should be, not the crappy stupid cardboard boxes they give you now at Towers. (And don't even get me started about no coleslaw!!!)
  17. Why is all this being discussed in "The Swarm" topic?
  18. These have just been posted on Roller coaster Xtreme Facebook. I'm impressed with all the small details of theming

  21. I agree with you, despite what people say I find that a ride on Rameses is much more enjoyable and thrilling than Ripsaw. I'm talking about as the general public, not people who ask for a paticular cycle or anything - if ripsaw has so many good cycles then why is it run so poorly? I mean seriously, last october I went on Ripsaw twice and it didn't even do one full flip (and I mean the fast ones), whereas Rameses does four in a row per ride!
  22. Looks quite nice in my opinion, apart from being a little cramped.
  23. I only thought that it was Merlin pass holders only because of the post two above mine that you obviously didn't read. Read before posting.
  24. Does that mean that people with a Thorpe park only annual pass can't go? In that case my friend can't go
