Just awful. Good luck finding your way round that mess if you've never been before.

On the map, with an open attraction inside it. No need to hide it then.

I'm quite sure the queue line (and boat) will be sitting there looking abandoned all year ready for fright nights. Shoddy.

Couple of insults etc removed from the above posts. I understand the frustrations and a couple of PMs sent, but lets keep it friendly and report if you have a problem with a post to try and stop it escalating. Thanks. Do continue...

As for the delay in turning the seats on one train, how about it being because of the billboard? I'm thinking they obviously have to complete the clearance tests to get the thing signed off for riders safety. The positioning of the seats will likely be slightly different facing the other way so they have to get it signed off in both forwards and backwards facing trains (if they are considering turning back to forwards at some point) this wouldn't have been possible if they'd already amended both the trains. So now the billboard is finished and and signed off they can get to work. Just guessing, but it would make sense.

A Fortnights Fun In One. I remember that tag line, how did they get away with it? There was a few hours fun at best!

I don't know what James was doing but I think not removing the '&theater' screws it up in the first place, but that wouldn't have been your problem as they worked originally.

I am probably the least technical person on TPM, so someone else may well have a better idea. But... If I edit the post and cut and paste the URL into the address bar it still does not recognise the picture, suggesting it is not a TPM embedding issue but an issue with the source. I then looked at the Guildford trip from you and selected a photo at random that was not displaying ('I made Sheepie a hat'). I then went to your facebook photos and what do you know? The photo isn't there! I think all the trip report photos were from your account, so I guess the ever reliable facebook has deleted or temporarily lost some pictures. Take a look at some of your own pics that are not displaying, and see if they are still on your facebook page. If they are there then take a look at the URL's to see what has changed, that might answer it. This might all be BS because, as I say, I am rubbish at this malarkey.

Trawling through rubbish internet I've stumbled upon pictures of fantaseas! Great memories for me, I've not been able to find any pics before now, and haven't seen it since the early 90's... Only a tiny glimpse of what was in there, but great to see after all this time. What a place.

Not for me it doesn't! -
Yes, this is what I'm thinking. People 'treat' themselves to a front row if the wait doesn't look too long for them when they get to the split. If this is going to have the effect Thorpe hope then people are going to the park in the first place to get on one of those four seats. That is a very different thing indeed.

Really? With these powers of yours could you let me know the lottery numbers for next week please. Ta. (Lets not start this again!)

But regardless of front, back, left and right relatively subtle differences, most people who have sat in any one of the seats will consider they have ridden what is on offer. Turn some seats around though and forwards v's backwards is a whole world of different, and that is before they've gone and marketed it as such,

Amputee spider looks, erm, interesting. I like the idea, not to sure they've quite got to the right place with it though? They've decided they have these 5 legs of interaction, gone for near miss hypodermics (maybe squirting?), strobing lights (should be disorientating) and I think one of the others looks like a mister. So far so good, but then it's like they've dried up on ideas and had to fill the other legs with something. I don't see how some spinning discs or an areal car wash will interact or be noticeable to riders at all really. Not that you can tell from a bit of concept art, have to wait and see how it turns out.

Yes. Billboard is bulky, isn't it? So much so it doesn't actually look like a billboard! Well, not an English one, but then it probably wouldn't be safe having the coaster shoot through a massive but thin lump of plywood, as Gordon Kaye (obscure 80's reference) would agree. I can't decide how well it will work as a near miss though, the important thing being the section of track immediately before needs to twists on its axis, so when you are quite close the hole will look to be in the wrong place, there is a twist right before this but that levels out and I think this is a bit further down the track so it might be a bit of a non event. Hard to tell without actually riding. One thing is for certain though, looking at the amount of materials, work and equipment those pics show has been used the cost of instillation is not insignificant and that money would have been put to better use sorting absolutely anything else in the park. Anything. Stupid Thorpe. Grumpy pluk.

Sorry, this page isn't available The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed. -
Derek. I really think it is one of the best things I have seen on TV ever. It has so much truth and feeling and warmth to it, but remaining at its heart an incredibly funny comedy. There is something about it that forces you to invest in the characters, to go with them and believe in them and feel their feelings, but can then smack you round the face with the biggest and most unexpected laugh a moment later. I can't really put into words how perfect it is, or what it is that makes it so perfect. Watch it.

Amusingly, there's clear signs to my ears that there's a bit of vocal manipulation going on in that first track! Although I have no idea who that guy is and don't doubt he is quite capable of knocking out a tune without it. I pretty much agree with your criteria but there are plenty of exceptions to the rule. Like Elton John who admits to being pretty unable to write a lyric but has something of knack for a tune, and there are some truly skilled vocalists who don't play instruments but do everything else. Country music, along with Opera, I find very hard to enjoy, although I can appreciate it if you know what I mean. Anything else I can get into, apart from thrash metal - that's just noise.

My questions are: -Is Blessed featured Henry featured heavily? Looking forward to that! -Have they paid as much attention to the ceiling as they have the floor. High or unthemed ceilings with obvious lighting rigs etc really ruin a lot of indoor attractions for me, and I imagine that is especially important in the 'dungeons'.
-
I understand it is open with the main season until The Smiler takes over and is not a paid extra, but it's only open for a limited amount of hours daily. I'm not sure I've remembered that correctly though.

No, what he's saying is not about the physicality of how they are achieving it, but that there are two very distinct experiences on offer which people will consider entirely separably, especially as the park are marketing it in the way they are (ie, the main reason to visit this year). They are enticing people into the park to try something with a throughput of a couple of hundred an hour, whichever way you cut it a lot of the people arriving for that will be leaving disappointed.
-
Not everyone will want to, but 2000 daily throughput for something they are advertising heavily as their new reason to visit this year is poor. People will view front and back as separate rides and want to do both, no matter how many seats they turn either way the throughput will drop for the other side and cause problems. People will be unhappy about not being able to get a go on both front and back, everyone was happy being able to go one way.
