I thought 6 did the same cycle as last year when I rode a couple of weeks back, although it didn't feel as forceful by quite some way. Forcefulness can obviously vary wildly and pretty much randomly depending on where you sit and I assumed I'd been a bit unlucky. If the sequence is not the same it is near on identical to before, but could it be it is going through the same motions but the whole thing has been slowed down a touch?

Would love something like that but only if they can afford to/be bothered to operate it throughout the season, not only in its first year or two but for the foreseeable future. I know many don't like the attraction, but I think the opening hours shambles of Saw Alive this year is pathetic and detracts from the good stuff the park is doing overall. We don't need anything else being run like that.

msn never get stuff like that right. I'm sure their 'news' is written by an automated press release and photo generator.

Still flawed logic. Thorpe doing nothing in what sense? If the ride itself is safe and has done nothing wrong nothing needs changing to it or its operation, if a person has they need changing. If they've done something to.endanger the lives of others they.need arresting. The park assisting an investigation is plenty enough action. You can't health and safety out the risk of actions of someone who wants to cause another harm. People have their own personal responsibility. Two wrongs don't make a right, and this is wrong.

So it goes back to the same point - someone with children is incapable of causing problems to other guests then, are they? A dumb and incorrect assumption. If that is the issue no forced mixed party boats would be a more proportionate measure, obviously cause a larger queue but be fairer all round, don't you think?
  6. pluk replied to Ash's topic in General Discussion
There is a reason if you, as an adult without a child, are happy to be lumped into a category with morons as someone not to be trusted to ride in a boat for no good reason. What if the stupid people had all been black, of oriental, or gay etc. They, quite rightly, would not say 'well, lets ban all blacks/orientals/gays from the ride', would they? But adult without a child is an acceptable group to declare unfit? Why? And I said it was a dumb example, but it serves a purpose demonstrating a point: this rule does not get rid of the stupid people by the restrictions on it, but does stop a hugely disproportionate amount of perfectly capable people from riding.

I personally don't. So it is safe enough for stupid guests who have children, but not safe enough for sensible guests who do not? Don't be daft. ------- If a study found 90% of trolling on the internet is carried out by 15-19 year olds, until a troll filter is developed all 16-19 year olds are banned from the internet. Wouldn't make sense, would it? Because: - Nearly all 16 to 19 year olds are not trolls, so it is not fair on them. - People outside this age group would still occasionally troll, so the problem is not gone. Dumb ass example, I know, but you see my point? It is a stupid measure to put in place. It is safe, or it is not.

I quite liked 'Jesus Likes Colo' tbh!

Go on then, try me. There is no reason good enough. It is clearly capable of carrying adults as it is not only children, so carry adults it should- with or without a kiddie in tow.

Which is what makes it so great! Screw you H+S! A ride you will genuinely have to sign a disclaimer to ride like th13teen.

Suits the market Thorpe are going for, surely? Themed as a life raft leaving the Swarm Island to escape? Could be stuck in anywhere really.

If we are talking flats, I'd love a full on crazy Tagada free for all.
  13. My breath won't be held.
  14. That looks so shoddy it is laughable. The person that is making these stupid decisions, when do they retire? Someone with some sense needs to take over and save that place. It is being milked, one day soon people will stop coming back because it is all so crap and the spend to get everything decent again will be too high for our short term money men to be willing to fix it.

And from down here, why the hell isn't it snowing. Not fair.
  16. Great report, but I don't want to see any more plans of that woodie - It make me so angry!

....because it needs one of the two to happen.
  19. From these recent reviews coming out it is clear a lot has changed since the first few days when there was no exaggeration - it was rubbish. Glad they started to make improvements already.Does make me think that when it was, to a large extent, not working they would have done well to have a few signs up. 'Sorry due to technical difficulties we are unable to offer the full Sub Terra experience today. We hope you enjoy todays limited ride and come back soon to face the full terror.' that sort of thing. There are a lot of people who have been through those doors and think that was what it was supposed to be, and won't be reading this stuff to put them straight.

I like the idea of extending existing themes into experiences, as long as they are done well.In a round about way everything else on on there has happened so for next year, why not? Whatever it is.

Quite sure they won't notice unless you do something to make yourself stand out. Don't wear high heels!

You should have seen that station 20 years ago! And also riden the original ride.Things do not progress.

I think you are wrong. Was told explicitly last week that we had a cycle 6, it was long and better than normal to support this and I have no reason to disbelieve them.It may be that they have reprogrammed the cycles to be a bit less intense if the old girl ain't up to it? But I don't think they have.
  25. If you are literally first group in it may be worth running to The Swarm straight away before a queue builds, if not I'd say you were best off turning left and working you're way round the park that way, starting with Saw /Colossus. Stealth and Swarm should calm down later on..
