It's not even that. As I understand ti the water can just be treated chemically and is then safe to release. But they have repeatedly dumped the water accidently, when it was not supposed to be emptied so had not been treated. Fools.

New for 2016 - Park-Wide Improvements

Sod the skeletons, This should be Chessingtons teaser trailer strapline, released at this time every year just to keep our expectations in check. -
Well that's a bending of the truth if ever I saw one! The environmental legislation has not changed, but the park has repeatedly shown themselves to be incompetent and dump the dye into the surrounding area rather than process it as they are supposed to. So it's their inability to comply with the legislation in a way that the system is already designed to do that mens it is no longer red, not because of some nasty outside agency taking the fun away.

Ah, that's where it's going. In my mind it was going in the trees to the rear left of that pic, just because there's dinosaurs there already! So we've lost the astroglide, a play area and that little kiddie train thing? As much as I love an astroglide that seems lie a fair swap!

Great to see! How does that compare to the rest of the park? Is that fairly hefty weekday queue indicative of some operational changes causing a drop in throughput, or is it just that it's busy / everyone wants to get on with only a couple of hours operation today?
-
A rhetorical question I guess, but simply charging a fair entrance price that's enough to cover costs, and not devaluing yourself with a ludicrously inflated price which is then battered down to outright cheapness by an all encompassing voucher system. Everyone then feels ripped off. Those who think that they do not profit from inflated queue times are being incredibly naive for such intelligent people. I simply do not care (and nor do everyday visitors) how it comes about, which department has this or that responsibility for whatever aspect of the circumstances that lead to it happening. By design or by incompetence, it does happen and it should not happen. I've seen it repeatedly with my own eyes. It'll be the next thing that comes to bite them in the media. Just the sort of thing Watchdog would love...

New for 2016 - Park-Wide Improvements

It already is a 'hidden lost tomb', these clues are describing something that is already there! If they are planning to make this the third incarnation of the same ride with the same rough theme I'll lose all hope. If they are planning to redo Tomb, which is a bit knackered but passable, while other areas of the park are not even close to acceptable, I'll lose even more. It's 'spook-tacular'. Surely this will be a Halloween incarnation of Tomb? That would make sense. -
They absolutely should not offer fastback when running reduced capacity. If they gave the tiniest crap about guest satisfaction over profits they wouldn't.
-
When they rip you off for little bottle of coke at three times the price you can get it elsewhere then it rightly pisses people off that the captive audience is being exploited, but when it's something out if the ordinary and a bit special like this it's fine really. I'd try it.

Merlin pulling off true quality in a dark ride, especially one that seems quite technologically advanced, bodes well for Whitechapel. Does anyone in the know have any idea if the same team that has put Shrek together is also going to be involved in Thorpe's development?
-
Doubt it'll be B&M unless they have a prototype design up their sleeve. The only likely models missing would be a hyper, which they wouldn't be allowed, or a dive, which might be seen as too similar to Saw in its signature element and also practically impossible to put it in a big hole. Even if B&M did have a prototype coming this would likely be the long rumored 4D development of their wing rider and therefore undoubtedly too similar to Saw to be considered. I'd say if anything B&M were pretty much the least likely manufacturer to be used next! Just got to pray that Altons current development turn out to be a success which Thorpe can then try to emulate. Bring on the wood!

If there was more, they would be less bored! I always look at CC as a missed opportunity. What is there is mostly pretty good, but it's not enough.

It's pretty much the same theme as tomb already is, so would be odd if it were that! Does look haloweenish, but a really odd time and way to start promoting it. -
I think it's time for the park to start being a little less corporate in their responses to these none stories that have nothing to do with the original incident and go on the offensive with a bit of public truth telling.
-
I think projectLC should ask all the questions tbh.

At least he BBC article focuses on the monorail breakdown taking an hour to clear on the hottest day of the year, which to be honest is a bit of an issue, rather than the Air on the lift hill non-story.

By manipulating the sensors they can simulate a stalled car virtually in the computer. They won't be trying to actually crash it, that would be mental.

How much does a giraffe cost? Will it be replaced by a cardboard cutout sometime soon?

With talk of a topspin I think this thread is going the wrong way!

Two headlines on that actual page... 11 TRUTHS ABOUT SEX WITH YOUR HOUSEMATE 8 LITTLE KNOWN FACTS ABOUT MALE ORGASMS Suggestive indeed, on the site of a family paper. Where's the petition? BAN THIS FILTH! Also liked the (presumably) misprint... So outraged he decided to wear one then!

It was Inside Out, the new Pixar film which comes out at the end of next month. IT IS AMAZING!!!!! A screen full of adults laughing out loud at a kids film is a wonderful thing.
-
Oh, I didn't know this. Have they taken out the video elements relating to it being dangerous and you might not survive /come back? Understandable maybe, but a real shame if they have.

Screen unseen tonight, exciting times. Rumours are Terminator. Would be a departure from the style of film this normally is, but is something I'd like to see anyway so all good.
