Might sound like a stupid question but do you have to have a print off or can you just show them the barcode on the Eventbrite app? - My printer has conked out!

Don't blame you - I've ridden it 4 times - all in 2013, the last time I rode it I actually cried - it terrifies me When I see people at the top I feel so sorry for them That.....literally made me laugh out loud - what on Earth had you been eating??!!!

You should have given her a straw and told her to drink it off the floor!!!

Gutted that I never got to go to the old dungeons as it would have been good to compare the two. I have never noticed the roof on the dungeons, though having said that, I am not the most observant of people I've been to the new dungeons 3 times (since December) and enjoyed each visit - I guess (well for me anyway) it's one of those attractions which you can definitely do multiple times and still enjoy. The actors I find are really good - at my last visit I had a guy (at the beginning before you go in the lift) stare at me in a creepy way and wave his hair at me - it was a tad disturbing then later on, another one discussing his bowel movements with me totally staying in character Edit: the boat ride - if you don't want to get wet do NOT sit in the front

Duelling inverter YES!!! Like your ideas - my brain is currently empty but if I think of any I will post No hang on - 400ft launch coaster I need coffee

Legoland Windsor- Everything Is Not Awesome
Han30 commented on Matt 236's blog entry in Matt's Creaky Expeditions
Some nice pics there - guess I can't really judge the place without visiting but the only thing I will say is - BURGER KITCHEN - NOOOO!!! I used to really like that Crossed Ribs gaff. I've only ever bought coffee and chips from Burger Kitchen - everything else looks a wee bit suspicious As for theming, due to it being largely a kids/family park I guess they (and the GP) don't notice small things which enthusiasts would. I know, before I became interested in theme parks etc I never really took much notice of theming. I first visited Legoland last year and was pretty impressed with the place - maybe because I wasn't expecting much - although if you compare Legoland Windsor to other Lego resorts (from photos anyway) it doesn't shine that brightly -
Interesting read there, however I thought (I think I read somewhere) that the park installed Zodiac towards the end of the 2000 season? Ah the fire - I miss Wicked Witches Haunt! As for Detty - I remember when it opened as I went that year and was too damn scared to ride it so I stood and watched as my sister went on. I can't believe I actually went on it 4 times last year but I can't bring myself to do it again because of the sheer terror of the thing. For me it is the most intense ride in the park (have done all rides apart from Slammer/Zodiac so can't comment on those). It's a shame that they never installed a second tower - Detonator is a good ride if you are brave (unlike me) but the downside is the low throughput, which a second tower would have helped with. It is clearly still very popular - on my last visit to Thorpe it had a 45 minute queue! Glad the SLC never happened - I've not ridden one but heard that they are extremely rough. B&M all the way <3

Although I haven't bought any resins this year (trying to be good and not spend a fortune on merch/ORPs), from what I have seen, the Colossus one is my fave. The only one I have is The Vampire one from CWOA which I got last year
-
Agree with you on this. When I went on Ripsaw it just swang and felt pretty pointless - am I right in thinking that Ripsaw was installed 2 years after RR? I didn't have the guts to go on RR until 2008 so didn't experience what looked like quite intense cycles (when I went in 2008 I got off after the first cycle due to the restraints). As for that video......it would be funny (but very cruel) if those people had no idea what was going on. I could NOT do that - there would be everywhere!!

I may be able to make one of those - money depending

Hello there - I am Han and I like your choice of fave coaster at Thorpe Welcome

Pretty sure they had the photo passes when I went last month - same price as Thorpe if I remember rightly

That video of Stealth almost not making it over the top hat is terrifying - I've never been on a rollback or seen one (would love to see one but I think if I experienced one it would put me off riding again)! A few weeks ago while queuing for Stealth, one of the trains launched and it seemed to go over the top hat pretty slow - right after that an announcement came over the system saying that engineers had been called - not sure what was happening but we hung around and it was back up and running pretty quickly. Also, last Thursday Stealth opened at 1pm - as EC mentioned, it seemed to be going a tad slow - it may not look it in that video but once on the ride I genuinely thought that a rollback might happen as it seemed to go painfully slow over the top hat - I decided to sit back row just incase as it would have meant less far to travel backwards

Not being the most observant of people (it took me around 20 goes on Saw: The Ride before I noticed the body!), the swing differences between A and B were very visible both last Thursday and Saturday. Due to queue times I didn't ride it - almost did on Saturday, our restraints came down (this was on Swing A) and our restraints were locked, then they released them shortly after and got engineers in to have a gander - would have hung around but I already got my adrenaline rush just sitting down on that thing - have only done Rush 4 times and although I love it, it scares me senseless - plus, The Swarm was calling. Rush did open afterwards as we saw it whilst going up Swarms lifthill. Ok I am waffling!

Phill Pritchard with Scary Wifey......that did make me laugh I think my sister/niece are going to CWOA on the date of the meet and, if so I may bump into you guys (I mean, Chessie ain't huge). If Jack is wearing a onesie he will be easy to spot!!!
-
Ah, the mirror mazes - first time I went in HPH I walked smack bang into a mirror - more than once. It wasn't until the TPM CWOA meet last year that I found out about the line on the floor The tunnel bit - really really effective but makes me feel a little bit sick! Gotta love the farting chair
-
Glad to hear you had a fab day - even better when it isn't very busy How did you find Colossus? - I like it but it really squashes my legs! Sounds like you got a rough car on Saw - I've never got a bruising from it.....just an epic headache that lasted 2 hours!! x
-
Going slightly off topic, how did you get on at Thorpe? (apart from the incident with being charged twice for a pic and bruised shoulders from Saw) - I remember you posting asking for reassurance regarding getting on rides - hope you managed to do as many as possible and that the park wasn't too busy for you
-
Stupid question but did you pay for your photo by card? For £10 you get a photo and digital download - if they have charged you twice, contact them - flaming rip-off merchants

Hex, Duel, Phantom Manor - bring back Wicked Witches Haunt!

Really enjoyed reading that and a great selection of photos to show off how beautiful the park is - the greenery/plants etc are really peaceful, then you have the animals aswell. Ok so it isn't a thrill park but has a decent selection of rides and is a good day out. I visited Paultons back in 2011 for the first time in years when they were promoting Peppa Pig world (and I got to meet Peppa Pig whoo) - when I returned last year I was stunned at how well themed it was - Merlin take note!! If you have a strong stomach then The Edge is more intense than Kobra at CWOA. And just to confuse things, Cobra is a pretty decent coaster (my fave ride there). I think Magma is good but yes I agree about the queue line not making a great deal of sense but the ride itself is good fun. Did you go to the area where Wave Runner is? - Basically same as Depth Charge at TP which is great if there isn't a big queue because the stairs on that thing are horrible if you have a fear of heights! Great park, great staff and I would recommend a visit to anyone - I love it there and I am old and my niece loves it (she isn't old) Hopefully at some point this year I shall make another visit to Paultons - oh and the new entrance look v nice

Arrgghhh it is the shoulder bits that bother me!!! At least with Rush it doesn't go upside down, although if you fell out you it wouldn't end great. Think I will have to trust what Flipper is saying, considering it is he who got me on Samurai (which I now love) and The Swarm backwards. And yes Flipper - you on Vortex sat opposite me lol - I was really hoping that you weren't going to puke as it would have possibly splatted on my face
-
Holy moly - great ride count there!! I love love love the Swarm but there is no way on Earth I could do it 30 times without passing out or being ill! Shame that you got a rough car on Saw - it's odd how you can have a relatively smooth ride on Saw or, if you have a rough car - leave with a headache that feels like you have been banging your head against a wall consistently for 8 hours. No Storm Surge there I noticed - that is the best ride and totally worth queuing up to 3 hours for
-
The restraints are pretty much the main reason I haven't ridden slammer yet (I may be forced to soon if it is open eeeek) so it is kinda reassuring to read what Flipper and Original Glazed have typed. I had the same opinion about Rush and said I would go on if they had OTSR but conquered that fear towards the end of season last year - but then, with Rush having just a lap bar you do feel quite exposed (if that is the right word) - I think if it had OTSR it would just be a bit naff because there is always that wonder (or maybe it is just me) of, when you the high swing "hmmm, I wonder where I would land if the lap bar suddenly unlocked". Given the choice, I would rather fall out of Rush than Slammer.....jeez how morbid. Ok gonna shurrup
