    My magic Ban
  2. A whole train for fastrackers? Sounds like an outrage to me. Closing rows off at a time is one thing, but a whole train when the queue is (presumably) at a long length is just wrong. I hope no other fasttrackers went on the trains afterwards.Reminds me of the time in 2011 when I visited Thorpe (stupidly on a busy school trip day) in July and queued ages for Colossus and chose front when some celebs (N-Dubz possibly) allocated the front seats of a train for two cycles. I'd queued 3 hours by the time I reached my seat.

How was the construction of Castaway Camp (that kids play area) going?
  7. Happy Birthday Mark9
  8. Not sure what's going on at Chessie at the moment, but it seems both Fury and Vampire are down at the moment (according to the ride status page). http://www.chessington.com/plan/today-at-chessington.aspx?tabNum=2 Certainly not very good considering they're the parks most popular rides, wonder what's the issue with these two currently? Probably shows how badly the park needs a third major coaster, one that does well on throughput and reliability.

Original Trilogy, you can't beat the original Finding Nemo or Monsters Inc?

The Flow rider looks a great addition to the park for the summer and should be lots of fun. Want to try and give this ago at somepoint, eventhough I'll fail miserably at it.
  11. The shout box, has been removed
  12. Park will be open until 7pm, however Summer Nights will be on in the evening which should finish at 10:30pm.
  13. To say that attention to detail looks remarkable, would be an understatement. Wow!
  14. The 9th would definitely be the best day for me for the meet.
  15. Very impressive theming I must admit, even if it's for a rather average coaster.
  16. And that's another coaster that I will sadly never get to experience (at least in its original form). Always remember this ride from RCT 2 Magic Mountain game & the Lampoons vacation film when the Griswolds trespassed in to a closed Walley World (filmed at Magic Mountain). I hope the ride gets the RMC treatment as it'll hopefully improve its smoothness, but as a hybrid I doubt it'll feel the same on a steel hybrid track and will lose a lot of its originality.
  17. The backwards queue was open when I last visited (Saturday), and they were also giving tickets to use for the back rows as well. I do think though they should just have one queue for forward and back as it would work much better for queue experience and throughput, also considering that there were a few back rows going through empty on my visit due to dispatching workings.
  18. Wow! The throughputs here make the uk's high throughput rides look like Boating School. As for California Adventure itself, looks a great park there with cars land, screamin & the original mermaid ride and mickeys wheel. Certainly looks an improvements from its early days.

Yay! This is good news. Now to try and organise a visit ASAP so I can ride it again! Just hope it lasts all season.
  20. The Smiler, 1/ Get corrected reversed- make the trains go backwards 2/ Re-dub as the most thrilling coaster experience 3/ Rebuild the station with shipping containers 4/ Add a john Wardley model in the queue line 5/ Add more 'hidden' cattle pens 6:Repaint the track in bright yellow and pink 7/ ride IP 8/ put roofs on the trains to reduce noise 9/ Drop a cow down oblivion drop 10/ rebuild the ride because everything failed.
  21. Went to Angry Birds today and have to say it was quite good. The 4D Cinema was really good, the effects they used were very impressive and the storyline quirky with a few comedic moments. The Dodgems are great fun and I love the simple but effective cars too. The rest of the area is ok, with a few simple but effective theming elements located around the area and nearby buildings, all I like very much with the possible exception of the pig graffiti near the cinema. Whilst its nothing remarkable and not a patch on the likes of Disney & Universal, it's a nice small/basic retheme of the old area in which has filled what was mostly a dead and soulless area with a bit of life. Full review on its way.

Zero G on B&M, hands down. Family Guy or American Dad?
  23. It's very sad when something like this happens in the themepark industry. I feel sorry for his family and hope the 2nd worker makes a quick recovery. I hope this incident isn't the fault of Europa and doesn't give them a bad reputation as the effort they put in to everything at the park is fantastic.
  24. I used the system (sort of) yesterday when I went to the park. We were met in when we arrived 9:30, ish snd managed to get a ride on Fury & Kobra successfully whilst there were few queues. Vampire was 45 minutes by the time we got which was just after 9:45. I think as long as they let pass holders and guests in normal and permit them on rides, then I don't really have a problem with the system.
