Hopefully next year we will see all the rides patched up and none having to be closed or having little scenery because of refurbs. Some of the rides still do have great atmospheres though, especially black buccaneer. I love the music they play on the ride and the operator is always commentating and saying things like 'put your hands in the air if you dare!' Things like these just make the rides so much more enjoyable. Wild Asia also has a nice atmosphere and monkey swinger is one of my favourite rides in the park(when the water is on!) The thing I don't get about chessington, is why all their rides have such low throughputs. The only exception appears to be dragons fury. I don't know whether this is due to the staff or just the rides having terrible throughputs but in general they are awful. In particular this seems to be monkey swinger, vampire, Kobra and tomb raiders. The queues are always so short(in terms of length) and would be 5-10 mins on a ride at thorpe however they are 30 mins+ due to their rubbish throughputs. This is definately a case with lack of staff on monkey swinger but not sure about the others(of course vampire is now only on 2 trains!) The only ride which has a long queue length these days is dragons fury and that is the only ride which has the queue time it deserves!

I went to this Not sure if it was the same one but its well worth the value! If you get another chance, have a go! The one I went to included: Sheldern heart- Over the top Graham sedgewick- rock rage + superspin Jason Gray- XLR8 A Miami Waltzer Twister(sizzler/scrambler) Toro loco(rodeo bulls); very painful and you fall off a hell of a lot! Wave swinger Some kiddie rides. If I can remember, I did most of the attractions at least twice so it was well worth the money

Why is this work being done during open season though? Surely it should be done during closed season. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

I love that video <3

Even if it does have a low throughput, the queue line always does look really packed of people so to be honest it does look quite busy to me!
-
This is why I think storm surge is a great addition to the park! Although I hate the actual ride, it seems to suck up the people and this means there are less queues for the other rides! Can't beleive it was that busy though- on Tuesday the maximum queue was 60 mins!

Banned for going upside down way to many times this year!

Thanks! Will get myself an AP ticket and my friend and full priced one
-
Just wondering, with the annual pass tickets do you have to have an annual pass or could I get a £5 ticket for my friend without an AP when I have one?

It was quite annoying as the report was playing but you could hear it and not see it! I would rather they just had it on or off not half on!

Detonator and depth charge. However, the op on vortex said that quantum was open yesterday aswell and there is a posibility rush may open up on some days too is just luck really on what you get open!
-
Vortex is not that exciting but a ride operator can certainly change that. That's why I'm saying thanks to Steve for a great ride this evening Music, atmosphere and your interaction with me and the guests was brilliant. I was really happy to be there

Park was great today! Maximum queue was 70minsish but longest I waited was an hour. Most staff were fantastic and was great to see that all rides were on two trains from the very beginning of the day. Colossus and saw opened late though due to technical difficulties. Maximum queues got to: Saw-70mins Swarm-60mins Stealth-40mins Colossus-70mins Tidal wave + Loggers leap- 45 mins All other rides stayed under 30 mins for the day Was a but disappointed though as there was a sign saying beach open until 9pm and we were shoved off it at 6:45pm vortex was great in the evening though with great music from the noise!

Saw queueline music was off today- however the rest of sound effects were working in the park. We did get a bit annoyed however because during queueing for nemesis inferno, vortex, quantum and rush every 5 minutes the same announcement went off about their season pass. All park sound effects were turned off for the same announcement, it was pretty annoying! Just like to say thanks to the staff today, most of them were AMAZING and the ones on nemesis inferno, vortex and zodiac were favourites! They were friendly, interacted with you and played awesome music by THE NOISE!!! Nemesis inferno was in a bit of a rage situation after 5ish and with only a 5 minute queue it was really awesome! Music on vortex was also great to and I would like to say a big thanks for Steve in the operating booth for making our ride such an awesome one! Thanks! I have a couple more comments on today but I will post them in park ops because they aren't to do with the music

The queue around the baggage drop was a bit of a mess today! I used to remember there was a member of staff letting a certain amount of people in at a time from the main queue but instead there was only someone doing fastrack and backwards queues. This did lead to massive queues at the bag drop and despite them having three people working the the booth there was still a massive queue to drop and collect your bags. Would like to point out, all the effects were off today aswell(the fire, water efffects and the tvs in the queueline).

Alton towers signed up to the page and it is updated every 30 minutes by alton towers(I think!)The smiler must have been at 40 mins today as I had a glance at ridehopper in the middle of the day and the queue time was displaying 35 mins. Seems rather short though, I've never found ridehopper as realiable but seeing as these match up I think ride times is. Don't alton have an app saying the queue times like thorpe do or is this a substitute?

I am certainly not a downer on this whole thing. I think that the event was a great idea and unfortunately I did not get the chance to go. I would have loved it being a big thorpe park fan myself and hope they continue it in future. I was just saying that I thought it may have not have been as good as they wanted it to be because there were no queues at all rather than small queues(with the exclusion of the Saturday which did have small queues). I'm also very happy about the extended opening hours as I will be visiting tomorrow and will be staying till the full 9 o clock. I hope this post does not seem rude as I do not want it to be but I'm just saying that I really like the concept and idea I was just thinking that it may not have been as successful as thorpe wanted Also I do think the whole park has been better than before this year including better operations. I really do like the park this year and think it has been very successful so far!

Banned for having despicable me as your dp because despicable me is rubbish!

I'm not sure we will see any rides open till 9pm at all! Thorpe are being very fishy indeed- when people are asking what time it's open till and what rides are open until 9pm they keep saying that the park closes at 7pm! When it says on the website until 9pm! I will have to investigate this
