  1. I've heard the mist is broken... So suggests why the lights are off too, as the tunnel is so well themed they wouldn't want you to see inside now would they
  2. I'm still confused where the money was spent / wasted... I genuinely prefer Hex and Sub Terra... Maybe that's why Towers closed them, as Thorpe persuaded them to and didn't want to make the Ghost Train look any worse than it is... That said, if I try and ignore how much it cost, and base it on media night where they had extra actors and explained the whole attraction way better and rushed it less (though still was too big groups of people and too rushed to enjoy the experience) compared to normal operation - for a dark ride I'd give it a 5 or 6 out of 10... It's clear there has been a lot of thought and effort put in and some of the small touches of themeing is really nice, but the whole attraction is confusing what's going on, and its purpose. I hope people enjoy it, but there's so many flaws, and even if these get sorted which would be great, I still have an issue with the attraction as a whole and why it's the way it is, but that can't be changed.
  3. Was in the second group too on Sunday... Was so annoying!
  4. Was really annoyed with it yesterday... But ah well sh** happens. Got evacuated after the preshow just as we were waiting to board the train... It looks so impressive! When waiting to go on, I seen the batcher with a piece of paper in his hand with two lines to split it into 3 parts and had a number in each: 50 | 45 | 45 Does that suggest 3 trains in use running on the reduced capacity? And could each train have a different endings as mentioned above?
  5. Wonder if Land of The Vikings will change to fit in with Ninjago?
  6. Hence why they haven't announced it opening... I think the limited timed tickets will happen. So noone can complain they're annoyed it ran out of slots. Well they will, but if it's not officially announced as open, then they haven't got a leg to stand on.
  7. Drayton Manor have previously done an offer similar to this already this year. It must have ran so smoothly that none of you knew about it.
  8. But if it ends up having a preshow, dark ride section, fast lift hill and an inversion or two this looks set to be a solid fun and thrilling ride aimed at older families and thrill seekers... Can't see much wrong with it. THOUGH if it turns out to have no inversions etc. Then it looks like a wasted SW as it doesn't look overly special to carry itself without a gimmick unfortunately.
  9. no offence coaster jamie... but it's blackpool, hardly the most important place to be dedicated to
  10. I get back from California the friday evening.. having had a bit of persuading I am tempted to come, though the waterpark is something I'm dying to do again, so hopefully that's on the sunday, and I may just make the effort to go (even though I'm probably going to want to go into hibernation for the weekend to recover from Cali, but never mind haha)!
  11. The POVs look boring... but rode front twice and back twice and must agree with you, the back is ridiculous on the last helix, the force lasts so long as well, better than inferno and nemesis
  12. Derren Brown Ghost Train who?.. this is the only 2016 investment you need to care about... and having never been to the park before, I was honestly shocked how amazing it was, and the new coasters in lost kingdom, especially Flight of the Pterosaur are incredible; I'd rate it one of the best family coasters in the UK.. better than Vampire easily even if it is a lot shorter!!
  13. Sorry if this has previously been mentioned, but on the website page for DBGT the number of people per train has changed from 60 to 58!
  14. Xtreme got removed after summer a couple of years ago to replace it with another one... It's possible they want a new model. That or I'd prefer to see an airmax aha!!
  15. Front row is amazing... Like seriously! All other rows I find very jolty/rough and all round meh, except the final main turn in the tunnel and the nice bit of swinging as you hit the breaks.
  16. Yeah I told you, you weren't allowed to record the names being called out for empire cause you would cheat, sorry haha
  17. The fence looks identical to the new ones in vampire queue, just different colour obviously, vampires black fences actually look decent.
  18. Yes, fortunately got to go today after megafobia being closed last weekend... wow so good to get back on it, arrived 15 minutes before park opening with noone waiting at the entrance, and literally like 10 people waiting once the gates opened, it did get a little busier but still no queues at all, the only waiting was for megafobia to have a minimum of 12 people which was odd and somewhat annoying, but was okay as I needed the rest, the rerides were taking a toll on my body lol, spent a while in the arcade and playing crazy golf... and the ride count while taking it steady just shows how desperate it is for the new area, which still hasn't really progressed at all! Ride Count: 38 Megafobia: 12 Speed: 5 Bobsleigh: 4 Snake River Falls / Treetops / Bounce / Moon Landing (<< Does that one count as an attraction ride haha!?): 3 Skull Rock / Tinks Flying School / Pirate Ship / Spooky 3D / Boating Lake: 1
  19. I swear I noticed sound effects in the backwards tunnel section this year that weren't there before...
  20. Megafobia has been broken this week and still not reopened.. Pirate ship is still closed, as is Vertigo... Oh yeah and drenched hasn't opened for the season yet. I could have coped with the other closed rides... But megafobia not open, it's not worth going on Sunday unless it miraculously opens tomorrow, otherwise I guess off to Thorpe park instead!
  21. You do not have to wear the VR headsets... I did on both goes yesterday, but I seen people going around without them on. The sign at the entrance isn't very clear but it simply means once you're wearing it you must keep the headsets on, as it could be dangerous to take them off and have them moving around on the string and hitting you in the face basically.. And I absolutely loved it, such a great addition to air, my only issue is the throughput..
  22. Will the coaster last long enough for it to even be worth Merlin making these improvements...
  23. These rides must be getting some sort of attention for them to warrant it being closed as part of TLC... So the way I see it, leaving it closed for a year allows them to save money and fund the TLC on the ride... I'm thinking more Hex.. I doubt sub Terra will come back unfortunately, and Charlie I can see being closed for a while and being reused as a building for a dark ride at a later time, hmmm
  24. It's a little more than paint... And I felt the park was starting to get better these last couple of years. It'll be interesting to see where the park is in a few years once they compete their 'TLC', what rides will we see open and what new rides, along with the other staff cuts coming back... I just hope the park stays popular enough for all this to come back. Not sure if Merlin are going the right way about it though :/
