Family Inverted B&M Happy Valley Shanghai
I like it. Looks odd seeing a B&M with such short rows though.

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
^ What an insightful post. My bet is still on an RMC or a Dive/Flying coaster.

Angry Birds Land
^ They'll use that for theming on the Swarm next year!

Maverick was supposed to be an Aquatrax

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
^ I never said I think a GIB would suit Thorpe, I just said they are well liked, and that Benin's (along with all the rest of us) opinions aren't fact.

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
^ Pluk my post as aimed at Benin. And when I say 'popular', I mean that people liked it. Not the queue length.

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
^ Your opinion isn't always fact. It was very popular.

Efteling
So looks like we have one of these then...

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
^ Do guests in a park complain when there's more than one drop tower? No, they ride them both. (Liseberg) Do guests in a park complain when there's two launch coasters in a park? No, they ride them both. (Liseberg) Do guest complain when there's two log flumes in a park? No, most people don't. (Heide Park) Pretty much all coasters have drops. Yes, some people do make comparisons between Oblivion and Saw, but if marketed differently, they probably wouldn't. So saying "Dive Machine wouldn't suit Thorpe" is a matter of opinion tbh. Some people say a woodie wouldn't suit the park, others love the idea.

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
How do you know this? Also, Dive Machines give suspense and airtime. Saw is just poo. I know guest foam over Saw but it's really not that pleasurable in my opinion.

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
The GP rides Nemesis Inferno, even though Nemesis exists... I know they're at different parks but guests will always make comparisons. They all still ride it though, so... I don't know.

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
My bet is on a B&M Flyer or Dive Machine. And I think Merlin probably signed another 3 coaster deal with them.

Stealth
^ Looks normal to me.

^^ On the news yesterday she said they were in the Lion enclosure!

Angry Birds Land
I take it Nick Varney is the one that wants instant return on everything?

Nemesis Inferno
Slightly off topic, but what's the "oil issue" on the ride? Is it on the lift hill, and is it only when it rains? I've never had oil drip on my while riding it.

SAW: The Ride
To the person on the last page that said the "Here's what happens if you lose" part doesn't make sense, it does. He's saying if you lose the game, this is the sort of thing that will happen. That's why you avoid the pendulums and the crossbows, and then you're shown what has happened to someone who lost the game. However when he says "Game Over", that doesn't make sense. You haven't made any choices yet, you've only been shown would will happen when you lose.
- worst theme park experience
-
Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
^ As much as we (the public) all want a decent coaster with no gimmicks, Nick Varney isn't having any of it!

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
Even though they already have Saw, my bet is on a Dive coaster like Krake, with a longer layout. Seeing as Gardaland has bought one, and the Wing coaster at Heide has been built, maybe Merlin signed another 3 coaster deal with B&M?

Thorpe Shark Hotel
This is Thorpe people, why the surprise? Could be a lot worse though...

Merlin Entertainments
^ But surely guests would come pouring in even faster if they knew the attractions inside are world class and rival Disney? Like Phantasialand. Guests come back because it's a fantastic experience, it's an adventure. That's why I think Disney is a good business when it comes to their theme parks. You can feel and see the effort that has gone into everything, and you don't feel like you've been cheated for your money.

Your Thorpe Park
2014: - Angry Birds Land is completed, however much more effort has gone into theming the area. - The Beach is removed and temporarily replaced with a flat grassy area. - The Canada Creek Railway re-opens - SAW ALIVE and all signs that it ever existed are removed. 2015: - A Wave Swinger Ride is added to one half of the new grassy patch (Neptune's Beach) - Next to this, a small stage and seating area is created, and this houses a new 'Madagascar Live' style show for families. - Samurai is given a new paint job and some theming to help it fit in with the Lost City (Colossus) - Colossus, Nemesis and Depth Charge are also painted in their original colours. 2016: - A B&M Flyer, themed to a flying beast, opens on the island besides The Swarm. It's 160ft tall, and is similar to Starry Sky Ripper @ World Joyland, China. - This new coaster includes a small food outlet and a shop. - Storm Surge's supports are given a paint job to give the effect of wood, rather than metal. Waterfalls and tipping buckets are also added to the ride's flume. 2017: - The new beach area (which houses the Wave Swinger and Live Show) is expanded and the theme is continued. A small Splash Battle ride is added. - The rest of the grass area (formerly the Beach) is given a few picnic benches, and is used as a family picnic area. A few trees are also transported in and planted in this area. - X is removed, along with the entire building. It is temporarily replaced with a grass patch. - Rumba Rapids is given an entire overhaul. New boats, new theme (to fit with Nemesis Inferno). It could be themed around the flow of molten rock created by the Nemesis Inferno coaster. 2018: - A B&M Hyper opens along the back of the park as Europe's tallest roller coaster, reaching 270ft. - It is given a theme similar to Air at Alton Towers. It is light blue in colour, to help it blend in with the sky.
