On the 1st? I'm going with my friend who's never ridden stealth before. I hope to surprise him. Do you guys know if it'll be packed or what (we're going for rollercoasters only and will leave at 5pm)

Merlin membership? I've heard of it but don't get it. I just got a friend who works at Chessington and he gives me the staff 50% discount thing. Pretty sweet xD

You guys should know by now that merlin isn't too keen on a woodie. RMC woodie with some carriage redesigns, and that would be my dream come true.

Well I'm not sure if you guys saw but today they've been dismantling some of the cables and gears on slammer. Looks like it really is going for good.

Haha. Don't worry about it! Vortex has smooth transitions, its not suddenly up and then smacking back down, it really does feel like your weightless. I must admit the spinning gets a bit tedious towards the end and a bit sickly but it makes a fun ride and is tame compared to the likes of slammer and zodiac (in my eyes)

It feels more like rush then anything, to me. I don't get the pirate ship feeling because you're not always going straight up and down, sometimes the forces dont work like that when you're falling sideways. Its really fun and as people have said its actually got more gentle recently, the only bad thing about it is the way the restraints slap down on your thighs. I always seem to get a numb right leg when I go on it XD

Well... Not going any more. Friend was stung by a wasp and had an allergic reaction, like seriously, hes all swelled up and is on a drip. Oh well, I'll probably take him in a couple weeks when hes better

Is the fright nights preview open to Thorpe park annual pass holders as well as merlin annual pass holders?

No way! Its term time, the most you'll be looking at for queue wise is no more then half an hour. saw will probably be busiest though.

Yes. It looks incredible, a true steel beast, but personally I think it rides terribly. Although it looks truly stunning.

I cant find this picture of the fright nights map... Other then that, I was wondering which maze is the least scary. I am some what a very easily scared guy, so I want to start slow.

NEVER! The first time I really got into rollercoasters (after a visit to AT) I went on saw alive a peed in my pants. Rather not do that again. My mate I'm going with said he'll do the mazes whilst I do the rides, then we'll meet up at the bus depot for 9:30pm.

That optical illusion out of the inversion inside is messed up. I seriously thought I was upside down until I came onto the lift itself.. XD

But no mazes for me. I am going though, gonna get a good set of offride footage and do my first night time rides!

Shes a rough one, I rode her twice. The track shakes as you go over the trim runs and the serpent roll you can FEEL the track shake, as well as see it. Weird as.

I think I'm going on the firday 4th. I can't remember, haha. We have an inset day on one of the fridays in october. I hope I can meet some of you guys!

You bet. A woodie would be amazing, just Merlin don't get along well with them. I'm still stuck with an RMC. I frikkin crave those things.

haha! Jammy, when are you going for summer nights? I doubt it will be. As you stated, there will be alot less guests during summer nights, plus you have to pay extra for it. It seems sort of pointless. Besides, thus far its only been happening for the swarm

You can, it just depends on queue lengths and how long until your digital slot is ready. Otherwise, I completely agree. Sure, if the theme park attracts mass crowds on a daily basis, who have a little money, and the park isnt particularly full of attractions, this would be fine. However thorpe has (I believe, may be wrong) 30+ attractions.This means that, unless the day is full to near its full capacity, there will always be one ride with short queues. I'm not sure if it will work. Maybe it could be temporary, and they only have it on particularly busy days.
