At last! Another skeptic! I don't know either way but I'm leaning towards fake...... I had a look at the sites facebook and twitter pages and they didn't post the article on them so I don't understand that either.

I find it hard to believe that not only did this random site get a full run-down of the ride experience but also images of what the VR experience looks like to post freely. Anyone could have created an image of that calibre. It's a good thing there's less than a day to wait for the official stuff to come out to see whether this site is correct or not. I remain skeptical for now. Though I have many issues with what the article speaks about and how likely they are to be true.

I don't know about the article. If it is legit it wouldn't surprise me but why would they tell this site literally everything 2 days before the big reveal? Also 2 VR attractions at the same time seems sketchy, especially if it's separate VR companies.

It may not be a theme change to be fair. It might just be that they decided to use a different slogan. We can't know for sure how connected the 2 banners are until we know more about what's going on. I doubt they had a huge turnaround or anything considering they haven't seemed to slow down construction or seem behind schedule.

I have looked and found nothing about Jimmy Carr having cancer as that would be something I would have heard about and been upset by! Not sure if you've confused him with someone else or something. Also that's a very odd dream to have had! EDIT: Just looked and found that Jimmy Carter (Former US President) was diagnosed last week so going to assume that's where your thinking came from.

If you ignore all the interrupting and repeating that she forces him to do it was handled very well. They seem to have a good indication of what happened and can easily implement ways of preventing the same kind of incident across the other rides. I expect Alton Towers will be open again soon and that once the HSE investigation is complete and we know for sure what happened we can expect the return of The Smiler after any needed changes are made however long that may take. Though it's reputation will be scarred for a long time.

I was at Thorpe all day today completely unaware of what was going on at Alton. Horrifying to hear about after spending the day at a park. I've just been reading everything here to catch up and I'm glad I did because it seems like one of the more accurate presentations of what happened. My thoughts are with everyone involved however directly or indirectly.

Thanks for all the info so far folks! Will be taking all of it into account. Definitely considering the Fantasy pass now as it would mean not missing a day and spending a whole one at Asterix. Travel will be the death of me while we are there I expect. Just to further pry into details do you have any idea how much money those train journeys + the shuttle bus would cost? Okay so I will no doubt have a variety of questions to ask regarding an upcoming trip to Paris (23rd-26th of June) so I will put them all here so as to not clutter the forums with my queries. Trip details : 3 people, All 'Youths', we have bought train tickets (Eurostar + Local) to get us to Marne La Vallee Station via Lille Europe via London to spend time at Disneyland, we are staying in the Dream Castle Hotel. We are hoping to spend 1 day in Parc Asterix and 3 days in Disneyland Paris Questions!: 1. Is it worth us buying a Disneyland Annual Pass (Francillien) each if we plan to visit around 3 times? Checking the calendar of restriction dates the 1st day we have is restricted so we could potentially go to Asterix on that day? Though it would mean having less time there as our travel means we arrive at around 12:00 at Marne La Vallee and getting to Asterix would take time which leads me to the second question. 2. What are the best options of getting from Disneyland (Marne La Vallee) to Asterix without a car? Ideally that don't take too much time or money though this will probably be a requirement! 3. If we buy Annual Passes then we'd have to buy them in advance to make them valid for the whole trip right? I read that the day you buy them on park they are valid but not for 2 days afterwards. Is that information correct? 4. Can we get a good variety of stuff done at Asterix in around 5-6 hours? I'm not sure how busy it will be at this time and exactly how much there is to do there as I am trying to keep myself in the dark about what there is to do. 5. Wait you got kicked off the course for saying you didn't like Feminism? If that's all you did then that's definitely not right. It depends on the exact wording and context of what wrote I guess but on face value it doesn't sound right at all

Was very strange when I was there yesterday. Samurai, Slammer and Detonator were advertised as closed but upon arriving and for the rest of the day X was closed and Nemesis remained closed from opening until around 2. If Nemesis hadn't opened later it would have been a very disappointing day, I was really looking forward to riding X again this season but likely won't for a while now! Can anyone confirm whether it's open today and my timing was just incredibly unlucky?

Yeah I was at the park pretty much all day and the longest queue was always held by this, at least 60+ constantly. Didn't bother trying it as mazes/live actors aren't my thing and as mentioned the universal panning! Also had an hour queue at 6pm and the people in the queue were either attempting to leave or looking rather bemused!
