  4. You can only say it's a true fear if you experience something and hate it, therefore fearing the idea of experiencing the same thing again. Before you try something the fear is all in the mind as it's the fear of the unknown. I find new ride experience's are never as bad as you build them up to be, I remember doing my first inversion on a coaster (Nemesis Inferno) and weeing with fear. But honestly the inversion was the last thing I was thinking about on the ride because it was like well ... nothing much really :/ It's like when people are like "oh my pooping poop The Saw ride at the Thurp Pak goes like BEYOND DOWN IT IS LIKE MORE THAN VERTICAL OH MY POOPIE POOP ITS THE MOST HORRIFIC THING EVER, and hav u seen THE KILLER ROTATING (sometimes) BLADES THAT ARE LIKE 1mm AWAY FRUM YOUR HEAD :o :O " then you ride it and the inwards drop is less intense than anything you could imagine and you don't even acknowledge the blades which are not even anywhere near to your body. Honestly if you have a fear of the inverted coasters it may sound silly but just blank those thoughts, go to Thorpe and get to a coaster in the morning, walk into the entrance and sit on that ride without thinking into it too much. If you don't enjoy it .. hey ho the experience won't be horrific (your not going to die) and you can move on. I strongly believe if you can experience the forces of Stealth then inversions are a step down. (Saying that everyone has different views though) My sister is terrified of the lift hills on rides but she endures the pain of forcing herself on them because she loves the coasters themselfs. I remember being scared of the Runaway Mine Train at Chessington .. a good 8 or so years ago
  5. When I was at the attraction on the 31st of January the bus was moving, so they did indeed fix it but have obviously now gone back to poopy stationary bus.
  6. The Derren shop is simply great! Love the elements in the shop and the merchandise within! It's all done so well. Few bits and bobs close up Did not get many photo's but I wanted to highlight stuff not yet covered much! (looks at levitating train :-) ) Don't know if anyone has mentioned that one of the heads in the glass is actually a clown head (Big not so flop at the end) Finally just got a few bits of the flower beds with train related / not related junk in them which I quite liked There was a trainer covered in moss which looked a bit out of place (I lost the picture of that) but apart from that nothing else really to report! ... Oh I did get a boring picture of an open door Now that is all.

  11. Yeah quite! The guest number predictions is a good point I forgot to mention with online booking so yeah that's that! Of course the park will like the money they make from parking fees but trust me and the others, the council will play a part in those pricey fee's and it is a scheme to reduce the use of cars as a travel option. The more the price goes up the more people will be like "oh hell naahh petrol and £6 to park in a gravel pit is well expensive innit gonna love the flowers and that in take the choo choo" Yes Nick will be happy to put the price up for more profit but it is also for the love of the world around us <3 Stay green TPMers
  12. I don't think you quite understand It's not about what is a reasonable price to pay for parking, it's about putting customers off arriving in their car's causing issueeesss May be completely untrue but I was always taught at GCSE and A level that it was to reduce air pollution as one train full of people / bus full of people is much more enviromently friendly compared 10 cars with four people in each Also as stated above it reduces traffic pollution on the roads. Same system used for tickets on the gate VS tickets online. They are so expensive at the gate because Thorpe / most company's would prefere people to be paying online reducing congestion for queueing to pay on the day. Websites are less expensive to run compared to paying loads of staff members to sit in boxes selling tickets so the sooner companys can convert customers online the more money they will save quicker So in some cases when prices seem completely unreasonable but there are other ways around avoiding that cost it is because it is supposed to be putting you off
