  1. Well I'm now satisfied, the last three visits to TP were missing the great adrenalin rush you get out of Stealth (the launch still gets me every time), now I will once again be able to experience that adrenalin rush!
  2. I got my results! 2 A*s, 6 As, 2 Bs and a distinction (equivalent to an A). I was 1 UMS mark of an A in English and the DT coursework was unfairly marked, so hopefully I end up with straight As As that averages an A overall, I will be going to Six Flags Great Adventure in October!
  3. Good luck to anyone else recieving their GCSE results today! I'll also find out today if I'll be going to Six Flags Great Adventure in October
  4. 8.5/10 This profile pic just makes everything ironic, Jigsaw being a psycho then your post being normal harmless sounding. It appeals being unique. My pic isn't handrawn (I wish it was), it was made on an app called FaceQ (Kerfuffle's score may lower).
  5. 5/10 I haven't ridden Galactica but the overall outcome of the ride has been rather neutral so your score will be neutral
  6. Well if you think about it, the theme parks today are being run by people who were probably enthusiast when growing up so technically our theme parks are run by enthusiasts.
  7. One day, us enthusiasts will be the people running the theme park industry in the UK. One day, we'll get all the airtime we could possibly imagine.
  8. I haven't ridden Helix or Taron, so Cheetah Hunt would probably move down the list if I were to ride them. When I rode Cheetah Hunt I was at the back so that may have an effect on the experience.
  9. My newly updated Top 10: 1. Shambhala - What else can I say? It's long, it's fast, there's airtime eveywhere, the drop lasts forever, it's just perfect! 2. Manta - This ride just blew me away, the pretzel loop really pushes you into your seat and you are flying the entire time! This was the best roller coaster that I rode in Florida which was surprising as it was my 3rd most anticipated ride before the trip. You'll never see Air/Galactica the same way again. 3. Mako - This defines relentless, from the steep drop to the awesome airtime to the surprising over banks, even the ending was great as you were just hanging over your lap bar! You will keep riding this as the line never gets long (basing it off my experience of what was meant to be "peak season"). 4. Cheetah Hunt - This is not a family coaster, I don't know why people keep saying that. You keep your momentum the entire time and a lot is packed in! You have speed, you have airtime, you have some force, the twister section just makes you laugh and you have that 1 great inversion. This is heavily underrated and in my opinion, the best ride at Busch Gardens Tampa. 5. Sheikra - The main thought that occurred is that this ride is big, the drop is big, the trains are big, the track is big, the immelmann is big, the people riding it are... you get my point, everything is big; and that's what I love about it! It is very re-rideable as the line never gets too long and you will remember every single part of the experience. Sorry Oblivion. 6. Silver Star - This ride is quite roughly placed on this list as I havent ridden it since 2011 and when I rode it, it was the first time I can remember experiencing a drop so I was screaming the whole way (I did ride Splash Mountain in 2003, but cannot remember it at all). Normally I enjoy long rides which are tall and fast and as this is one of them, I suppose if I were to ride it now, I would enjoy it but I may be wrong. It may completely change... 7. Space Mountain: Mission 2 - With this ride, what I loved was the immersiveness due to the fact I felt like I was flying through space! The on board soundtrack was amazing and it somehow made smaller elements such as a long curve seem a lot grander so you could imagine how it made larger elements feel (you won't forget the corkscrew). This ride does prove that not all Vekomas are bad. 8. Rock N Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith - I was expecting a rough mediocre ride but what I in fact got was an action packed thrill ride that just rocked! From the pre-show to the launch to the rock music playing to the layout itself you are on a fun journey that is bound to have you smiling (sorry Alton Towers but this ride deserves that description more than The Smiler does). 9. Montu - This is personally my favourite B&M invert that I have ridden as it has everything you could want from an invert. It is a long ride with great height to it, the inversions are back to back and some are actually rather intense. Overall, it takes your average invert and makes it larger which is simple but it does make it an amazing experience! 10. Oziris - Parc Asterix have really made an effort here, this invert is truly unique due to it's lack of pre drop and hugely extensive theming. This is a great layout with an amazing theme therefore I can conclude that this ride is brilliant! It's a miniature Montu which may not be quite as good but there are some areas where it is better than Montu.
  10. If Thorpe make a flyer, it'll probably be known as Intergalactica. If another Merlin park wants a Derren Brown attraction, they'll probably attempt Derren Brown's Ghost Plane, just so they're not "copying" TP. SW8 could end up being Colossus: The Pirate Coaster (naming it after Merlin's other wooden coaster), it's a terrible name but there have been worse
  11. It was more or less the same with some slight differences, there were more demons and there wasn't a guy getting snatched by a demon like before. Apart from that, it was the same.
  12. (Guy in test seat for Saw) "It gets really annoying when someone has this down (pulls down the restraint) and it makes this sound, it really annoys everyone (whilst the sound is going off)" What he did next was annoying, but that's another story for another thread.
  13. (A group of a man and 3 boys are pushing through the main queue of Swarm) "Sorry, we're fastrack, we're allowed to do this"
  14. With this ride, I want to love it but I can't change it from 4.5/10 after yesterday. When I rode it yesterday I was hoping to maybe end up liking it and I was also hoping a few things would be fixed since the technical rehearsals. However, it gave me the same opinion as I've always had and it just left me saying "was that it?", like at the technical reheasal.
  15. "Colossus has 10 corkscrews" "Stealth shoots you off at 60 miles an hour" "Stealth shoots you off at 100 miles an hour"
  16. The scariest part of Falcon's Fury is the height aspect rather than the drop. When you drop, you're in a natural position to fall so it's like dropping on a vertical drop roller coaster. I personally find the drop on Detonator or Appocalypse more scary than the drop on Falcon's Fury.
  17. So today both Rattlesnake and Vampire have broken down whilst I was on it (obviously at different times), clearly shows that they're terrible at maintaining their rides.
  18. But if they had the footers on the land and the track going over the water, would that be allowed?
  19. Pretty much with any complete circuit coaster without any backwards elements the front row is always the least intense.
  20. Because pugs are pretty (ugly (in a remarkably cute way))
  21. In the 5 years I've been going to Thorpe Park (which isn't much, I know), this is the only year I've seen Stealth break down. I find this unsettling as I'm just not at all used to seeing Stealth break down (unlike Inferno).
  22. Are they allowed to build over the water between that island the park land?
  23. The coaster part is meh and short. The track drop is also meh and short. It's just a forgettable ride which doesn't make me satisfied or in this case, insanely unsatisfied.
  24. Satisfaction scale: Insanely satisfied - B&M hyper Very Satisfied - B&M flyer or Mack mega coaster Satisfied - Any B&M or thrill wooden coaster Not very satisfied - Family coaster Insanely unsatisfied - A family coaster like Th13teen
  25. Out of interest, when they rethemed the ride to just "Bubbleworks", what did they change which didn't please certain people?
