  1. Rode it twice today (it wasn't my idea to ride it again), and I'll say this: should've spent that money on a B&M...
  2. I don't care if my hopes are destroyed but is there a chance that Hulk will soft open before the 23rd July?
  3. How do soft openings work? Do you need a special pass or do they just open the ride without telling everyone?
  4. This website says that Hulk is opening on the 22nd July: https://touringplans.com/islands-of-adventure/attractions/incredible-hulk-coaster Is this actually true? (I'm hoping so because that's my last full day in Florida)
  5. Make sure you spell my name right (whose this Equaster you speak of?) I'm guessing you don't like spirals and optical illusions.
  6. Haven't ridden Helix but basing it on your thoughts I think that will earn you a 9/10
  7. How many people are actually going/are at/have gone to Florida this year?
  8. This year in just over a week I will be going to Florida for the first time since I was 3 which is a milestone in my theme park life. I will also definitely be doing many Thorpe Park trips and possibly 1 Chessington trip (I need to make my pass worth while). During August there's a possibility I may be going to Alton Towers, but I think with some decent planning it will probably happen. However, The second and biggest milestone (which depends on my GCSE results), this year, hopefully will be the one and only Six Flags Great Adventure. This trip only happens if I average all As at GCSE, I feel hopeful about this as the exams went very well.
  9. I started writing this before others posted their replies, so sorry if any of this is repeated but I didn't want to put any of this to waste. Having been to Thorpe Park 21 times (the 21st time was today) I'll be able to answer these. 1. A single fastrack for the larger rides is £6 and for the smaller rides is £3. 2. Colossus, Stealth and Nemesis Inferno have front row queues. Swarm doesn't have a front row queue, but as there aren't any staff at the gates you are allowed to wait for the front. Saw doesn't have a front row queue either, whether you get to choose your row really depends on the staff (some days you just walk to a row of your choice, other days you're assigned a row). 3. You only get to choose which side you go on when it's not crowded, sadly on busy days they'll assign you to a side. 4. If you want to start softly, ride Vortex as it is very graceful and will get you into the motion of flat rides. If you want to start big, ride Rush or Slammer as they're the more intense flat rides (which will get you into the motion). 5. Lost city queues tend to build up quite quickly and become rather long so I would recommend that area. 6. The indoor drop, I'm not gonna lie, it's an intense drop. However, it's over very quickly so you will not be struggling to breath or blacking out halfway down. It does mentally prepare you fully for the outdoor drop (the 100 degree drop).
  10. I found Magnus Colossus to be relatively fun, there's no doubt it's rough but the views you get are just spectacular.
  11. You seen to like rough woodies, what ever happened to you being hard to impress?
  12. One more GCSE, yep, it's not over...

  13. OzIris is probably my favourite B&M invert that I have ridden. I felt quite immersed in the area but the ride experience was even more immersive. Goudurix I found just to be a fun ride for a laugh, I felt the restraint actually gave the ride an interesting feel especially on that batwing inversion.
  14. Here are some photos I took from a lift hill climb in 2014:
  15. I rode Goudurix in 2013, was the re-tracking done before that year?
  16. I never normally hate roller coasters, I loved riding the Smiler and Saw at the moment is my favourite ride at Thorpe Park When I rode Goudurix at Parc Asterix I actually enjoyed it, there are rides that are rougher (cough**back row Colossus**cough). I also enjoyed riding Infusion and Titanide (if you don't know, they're SLCs). If I had to give a worst ride, it would probably be Stampida at Portaventura. I did enjoy it but it was the definition of rough.
  17. My top 10: 1) Shambhala 2) Silver Star 3) Space Mountain: Mission 2 4) OzIris 5) Nemesis 6) Dragon Khan 7) The Big One 8) Saw The Ride 9) The Swarm 10) Tarantula & Abismo Number 4 & 5, 8 & 9 may be interchangeable.
  18. I got so excited when he favourited my tweet I think the Cannibal parody was a better parody, Takoda makes a great narrator.
  19. Does anyone here watch Coaster Studios? I know there I some people who watch his videos including me in which I am a huge fan of his videos. This is his channel if you don't know who he is: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheCoasterguy14
  20. Sorry about the double post, but... I GOT A DISTINCTION!!!!!!!!
  21. What I'm annoyed about is the original images they showed, compared to the actual ride. For example, I don't many of us thought this was ugly: Then they show us the actual ride: My problem is that PortAventura overpromised (from my point of view) with this ride. I was expecting like everyone else here the ride to look like the original image with its nice colour scheme, brilliant aesthetics and the airtime hill. If they had the actual ride in the original images, I wouldn't be so dissapointed.
  22. I did a Grade 7 trombone exam today. I think I'll probably get a merit. Out of interest, why are there two instrument topics?

    Video Games.

My hype levels have just risen drastically! There is now some hope for Nintendo fans!
  24. What are those circular panels on the spine of the track between each of the cross tiles?
