  1. You can try and wear your glasses with but it is recommended you don't, if they don't fit you either wear it anyway and don't see, or (as some guy on our first ride did as his would not fit under the headset) just ride without the headset and your glasses.I also found the headset was clearest when quite low down on the nose (something that some with larger noses may not be able to do) but that may just be me being long sighted. Managed to get the headset to not move on only one ride of five but I had to do it up so tight I actually gave myself a headache
  2. Having lived in the local area my whole life I also know that an awful lot are local teens needing money who have just gravitated to the large local place of employment among that age range. Still think they will be happy about the photos though, park advertising and all that. Unless the people taking photos start to hinder/get in the way of people that actually want to buy things
  3. You can look from side to side but if the video isn't correctly synced with the ride or you aren't looking straight when they sync it you can see the edges
  4. In a day on Twitter they went from 'we strongly advise you wear the headset' to 'YOU MUST WEAR IT.' though since the post saying you have to they have gona back to just saying 'you wouldn't be experiencing it properly without it', as if it isn't compulsory?
  5. Most petitions are if you actually research what they're about. But even so, even if they research it people still think there's a small chance they can make someone do something by sheer force of numbers. Who are we to say they're wrong? It's heritage, maybe some millionaire will see it and be touched and do something... And maybe they can convince Alton Towers to buy another topspin. Small chance, but if people want to sign a petition to try, there's no harm in it.
  6. It may not be what they're going to get, but it's still what they want. A majority of people may not know all the rides are gonna and assume it's just been left, seeing as it keeps being referred to as 'abandoned', as if it had just been left as is...
  7. It's just like that power cut last year just after the Smiler incident where Air stopped on its lift hill and the papers claimed it as another breakdown and used it against the park... Just dragging up pointless stories to keep dragging Towers into the news

Don't know about that entrance but I'm not sure if it's anything to worry about. The ceiling above the 'lift' for the normal queue is just a plasterboard sheet, there has been a hole through it for a few seasons now and you can see right up to the roof of the shed. So if it's a nothing that's just there to cover the roof then I doubt anything has been done
  9. A lot of the answers you seek can be found here: http://forum.maniahub.com/topic/11136-annual-pass-sale/ You go and collect it from the Annual Pass Building on the right of the main entrance right by the road to the car park barriers. Not sure what you need to bring but it should tell you when you buy your pass online. Probably something along the lines of a print out of an email conformation. Not sure about this either, but back in the day when I used to visit with friends who had tickets you could sometimes get away with taking them through the annual pass queue... Time to get the pass will vary, can take anything from 10 minutes to almost an hour if they're busy and you have to queue for a while, so be prepared to wait if you plan to go get it just before the park opens. Hope I've helped!
  10. Can technically do either, though seeing as me and Mitchada04 get back from Florida on the morning of the 2nd (although I don't know which one he would prefer) I for one would prefer the second
  11. There were articles out in the Metro (and another paper I can't quite remember) online within an hour of the incident... What made me laugh was members of the public proposing the tickets that sold out so quickly this morning had gone to workers and their friends and family... Though I guess they don't know about the amount of free tickets workers are given already
  12. Yeah, sounds just like my hall during freshers And no, the place did re open later in the day, so it hasn't gone up yet
  13. And true to form, today the coffee shop that has replaced the fish and chips that burnt down got evacuated due to a fire alarm...
  14. Ask a friendly adult to escort you there (parents while dropping you off or something?) and buy them for you, and then pay them back?
  15. Smiler was okay today, think which train you're on has an effect too though. One train we rode today was significantly rougher than the ride before, definitely on a different train
  16. To clarify, the signs in the station saying queue here for backwards facing rows have been removed, there is just a separate access point (if thinking about it like that makes you feel better) for riding the back two rows

    Wicker Man

Well as of today we have a fence promising further development and SW8, behind which the only work is that Flume itself has been drained. The board with the queue time is even switched on and visible over the wall but thankfully showing unavailable on it...

    Nemesis

We have known this isn't coming back for a while now, because they don't have a proper drainage system
  19. It may have been, but it's been done now so I think they're just trying to make the best of the attraction they've been left with. At least they've tried to update it to keep it relevant and current to the TV show that a lot of people watch
  20. Not sure what was going on in the station today but there was a speaker opposite the door just blaring out constant bass so loud it was actually a bit painful on the ears Also music inside the pyramid was different to that in the queue, and for us just seemed to be a constant drum and bass beat, no actual song to it... And the two speakers on opposite sides of the pyramid were out of sync
  21. Not too surprising given the size of the queues around park and the throughput it had already, let alone with it being made longer
  22. Oops, think I've been the worst at falling behind Sorry, been a busy week! THUMPING THURSDAY! Different kind of thumping, but will always get me dancing FILM FRIDAY! Love this film, and this soundtrack is amazing SUPER SATURDAY! Don't know what it is about this song, but yeah SECRET SUNDAY! Don't think anyone will know this as it's a tiny little band but my dad used to work with the bass player and I think they're amazing
  23. They probably just really don't know yet, so don't want to say
