7/10. Cool but bizarre.

Top 10 deceased attractions you wished to have experienced
CharlieN replied to Matt 236's topic in General Discussion
Hmm: Eagles Fortress - looked like the wildest swinger in the world and id have loved to ride. Hypersonic XLC - I've always wanted to ride Dodonpa so I wouldnt say no to this. Ring Racer - the launch looked heavenly. Didn't it only have one operational day though? Proffesor Burps Bubbleworks - Never rode the original or the newer version, which I'm gutted about. Son of beast - a vertical loop; on a woodie. Need I say anything more? -
^ I really rate Pritchard. Him and Wesley (Hoolahan) really have great chemistry on the pitch and they've put together some very nice moves. Especially against Rotherham when Pritchard's through ball through the legs of the defender found Wesley Hoolahan who span round 2 defenders flooring them both and the keeper: As for Canos @ChessingtonSam, his head doesn't seem to be there. On the ball he's decent, pretty fast and skilful but he has a really poor work rate and I think he believes he's better than us. Good luck against Fulham, they looked rather good when I saw them against Norwich on the 18th. I think they're better than their league position shows. Their recent form isn't too shabby either...

*Norwich fans are probably waffling on about how Ipswich have been stuck in the championship for years and how we're higher than them in the championship and that they have a minuscule budget and no recent success. Oh yes, and how we beat them in the play off semi finals lasts year!*

None of those are ground breaking, popular roller coasters though are they? Especially considering that Colossus was the first really significant coaster to come to Thorpe Park. Plus Hex is under refurbishment so it isn't gone for good.

Well I saw my second Norwich match of the season yesterday. Away at Brighton. We lost. 5-0. I have never been so embarrassed to be a Norwich fan. #neilout

And if it did close the park would tell us and I'm sure they'd do a last ride event like the ones that are very popular at Cedar Fair parks. It wouldn't just get dismantled over the closed season with absolutely no mention...

Well I think we know what's coming in 2017: Derren Brown's Ghost Train's new destination. I.E probably not very much.

I had a good day at Howl'O'ween yesterday. Vampire being shut for the majority of the day was a real disappointment but other than that I managed everything I wanted to do. I have to say, I didn't feel much of a Halloween atmosphere and I was slightly disappointed by the lack of roaming actors and general spooky occurrences (though that may be due to the fact that I went to Towers on Saturday so I was automatically comparing it). The event was very busy, busier than I can remember at a theme park - a queue for KOBRA that was meant to be 30 minutes was 2 hours! I didn't do TOTW because it looked insanely cringey and I think I'm to old for it but we did do Curse of the Lost Tomb: Now, this maze was interesting. Thoroughly enjoyable yet slightly bizarre. The interior theming was very detailed throughout and the actors didn't do a bad job (overral). The first room with the letters on the floor was my highlight: the actor was very enthusiastic and explained the scenario very clearly (though I don't know why he was dressed as a pile of leaves). The walks between rooms were also good and the occasional actor in a mask gave a mild but sudden scare. Now, this is when it all got bizarre. The room with cogs was the most utterly contrived puzzle I've ever experienced and the actor who tried to explain it was way too fast. She then told me to hit a button which made a sound, and then another, and another. They had no logical sequence and she essentially solved it for us. Like what!? The ending was very anti climatic but the sequence prior to it with the skull and the coffin was well done and mildly scary. I enjoyed my first Howl'O'ween experience though the event could be improved greatly.

Please stop moaning, let's not judge this book by it's cover! I for one quite like this theme and I think it could do really well at Chessington - that's if they take the story of the gruffalo as opposed to just the theme. If you were to go through the attraction as if it were the book that would be much better than just seeing the gruffalo appear in every seen IMO. Oh and Sam, I highly doubt that's true - Transylvania is one of the most distinct and popular sections on park. (But, if this rumour is true and Vampire becomes 'room on the broom', please, Merlin give it Vekoma's dragonfly trains and theme each seat to a broom stick.)

Why shouldn't you put sodium chloride on someone? That's a salt! If H2O is water, what is H2O4? Washing, drinking, bathing, Etc..!
-
"2 men walk into a bar, the first man asks for H2O, the second asks for H2O too, the second man dies" Take your bad chemistry jokes and Burium!

Me I'm afraid. They were always my least favourite part of despicable me (and I do realise I'm certainly not their target audience by the way.)

Thanks guys

I, too like mazes where you go downhill.

(Sorry for very off topic) My school has a homework app and I have to say it is very effective. I get notifications when things are set and due, and you can even submit homework via it. Back on topic: clowns terrify me.

Or just turn your phone off!

Cheers @Jart Your cryptic message has actually got me very excited for the next ride!

+1 for the megalite. Intamin and Mack megalites and chance hyper GT-X are essentially small hypers. Obviously they don't have the 200 foot hyper status but they have features which are very similar to those on a hyper coaster. (Lots of airtime for one!) Don't get me wrong, I'd love a hyper, but I don't see one in the foreseeable future, and a megalite/GT-X are the closest things to it.

Energylandia is the biggest theme park in Poland and looks to have a very exciting future ahead. This year, it invested in a Vekoma launch coaster called Formula 1 which looks like a really wild ride! But, for 2018, the park will be opening a mega coaster. 2 layouts have been shortlisted and both have been released to the public. These layouts are from Vekoma and Intamin and the park are giving the public the chance to vote for which one they would like to see built. Personally, I prefer Vekoma's design, but what do you think is the better design? Discuss that, and anything related to Energylandia below!

I hate halloween. I suppose it means that I hate October too, because whilst it is my birthday month, the whole period is taken over by horror related things. And for those who don't know me, horror is not my thing. Never has been and probably never will. In the theme park industry, pretty much a month of the operating year is horror based. Which basically means a month of the year for me to not visit theme parks! The closed season's started early for me!

I'm not going to FN this year, but if I was, I would have very low expectations of P15. So far it just looks like a train with every other theme squeezed in. Ouija boards, tattooed people, trains and people who like like they're dressed up as pandas. I know they say never judge a book by it's cover but it doesn't look very good at all IMO.
