I just assumed that card was related to fright nights and thought the teddy was something to do with a maze or scare zone this year. Didn’t go to fright nights last year as I was on holiday but I would assume that the card is just hinting that death doors would return this year if the teddy was part of it.

Nobody insults saw the ride, it’s my 2nd favourite in the uk 😭 I think that the park are missing a trick not putting a flat in the exodus area of the park. I think that a new area for a park should have a coaster and a flat or two to tie the whole thing together. Not having flat rides near coasters leads to issues that towers now have with massive queues on the major coasters (smiler cough cough) because there is nothing else to do in that area apart from the coasters. (I’m not counting retrosquad as flats they don’t count). I think the only exception to this rule is the swarm as the theming in the area makes up for the lack of a flat and the fact that the ride has a relatively high throughput. Also a new area with a flat ride as well as a coaster surly would look better to market than just a new coaster, but then I know very little about marketing so I could be wrong.
-
A new TV screen can’t even be that difficult to get a replacement of surly. It’s not like it’s a new ride part that they need to get it specifically from a certain manufacturer that could take months or years to ship (looking at you mr monkeys banana boat…). It’s an off the shelf product that could be cheaply bought (I think) so why don’t the just bite the bullet and replace it now to actually create a good first impression of the park.

I was thinking they looked massive but then haven’t seen coaster supports on their own before (I couldn’t find the nemesis ones when I went to towers 🥲) so I just assumed they were that size normally. Are Mack supports usually bigger than like B&M supports or are they just this big as Exodus is such a tall coaster?
-
Ah cool. Having now watched Jack Silkstones vid they do look white. Odd that they have delivered the top of the lift first, but as you said maybe that’s just the first lorry that has arrived. Still not fully sold on the gold to white gradient, hopefully it will grow on me when the coaster is complete…
-
Very nice to see supports on site! Construction will go vertical any time soon. Does anyone know why the supports look grey? I thought the track was a gold to white gradient.

I never really found trailers that interesting tbh, if bozos is just a worse version of that it’s not worth it for me.
-
I didn’t do Breakout at Bozo’s last year at thorpe. I’m planning to go this year at least a couple times in carnival, is it worth doing the maze. At £4.80 it seems extremely cheap, but that makes me think it’s not going to be up to standard as the other fright night mazes. Is it worth giving it a go?

I think the problem with offering free experiences for passholders is for the cheaper pass options. Owning a silver merlin pass myself, the £10 a month is pretty much nothing (even for a 16 year old with a super inconsistent job…) and I save ungodly amounts of money using it. I probably go to merlin attractions at least 15 times in a year, which if each ticket would be £30 (which it usually isn’t) would still have cost me £450. I don’t need any more perks with my pass, yes they would be nice but from a financial perspective it would be detrimental for the park imo. And the discovery pass exits too, that’s like £60 a year I seem to remember. Giving free maze access and other experiences with the cheaper annual passes just wouldn’t be financially viable for merlin because sooner or later everyone would catch on that its a no brainier buying an annual pass and the company would be losing money. I hope my waffle makes sense…

Park has sold out again tomorrow. School trips are the cause I assume… What is the max capacity of thorpe cause surely for them to have sold out they must have sold a bunch of tickets?
-
I think since the start Jack has been some sort of marketing for exodus. In the description of all the construction updates there is something along the lines of ‘this video is made in cooperation with thorpe park therefore I class it as product placement’.

Inferno is back up and running today according to the app. Seems like a snapped lift cable was most likely the issue with the ride.
-
I think the only worry is that they are still not giving is a date when it will reopen. With Colossus they at least said late spring, but for this it could be anywhere from it reopening next week to reopening in september some time.
-
I thought the park said this rumour was false on a facebook comment response.
-
Not heard anything about that. Definitely hoping it’s not. Got a good view of the ride on detonator on thursday. There were no ladders or anything around the track, transfer track was off to the side though; maybe an issue with one of the trains? We’ve had no communication from the park so it could be anything being honest.
-
Pre show was identical I’m 99% sure.
-
The hidden door was still obvious yes. I didn’t bleed light when it was dark, but the seam around the outside of the door is still clearly visible when the lights are on. Crypt scene was still identical I’m pretty sure, by the ghoul do you mean the thing that flies overhead. If so that will still hardly visible and I nearly didn’t notice it fly over.
-
I’m going to be honest I don’t think anything changed at all. Or nothing notable that I recognised. There were maybe a few more pitch black moments on the first train ride and the actor at the end in the fake shop was in a jacket and tie. But apart from that nothing was changed I don’t think.

Very odd guys, saw opened with the park today at 10. The website said 10:45 open so I’m slightly confused. Also app says all rides are closed for some reason.
-
Just ask Jack Silkstone. He will deny he knows everything but in reality has know the lineup since park closed for off season last year. I hope survival games returns as I didn’t get to do it last year and it look really fun. Trailers on the other hand I wouldn’t mind if that went to be honest.
-
Ok, sounds good. I will report back the changes tomorrow if the attraction is open!
-
Haven’t been on it since reopening yet, will most probably get on on thursday though. Do we know if they have added lights or similar in the windows?
-
Do we know what’s going on with thorpe so that the rides have to open later? Good to see they are being upfront about it though, regardless of how many people see it considering this page is in the most obscure part of the website.
-
Right thorpe were quite obviously wrong with that comment... Do we actually have any idea what is wrong with Inferno and if they will fix it anytime soon? I wonder if this is going to end up in a situation similar to Colossus...

I agree, just something saying it's an experience rather than a ride would help loads. Since it's near TWD, many people might assume it's another indoor rollercoaster or some sort of ride. Anything simple, even like 'Ghost Train: a fully immersive horror experience' would clear up to many what the ride is actually about
