  1. I’m going to be honest I don’t think anything changed at all. Or nothing notable that I recognised. There were maybe a few more pitch black moments on the first train ride and the actor at the end in the fake shop was in a jacket and tie. But apart from that nothing was changed I don’t think.
  2. Very odd guys, saw opened with the park today at 10. The website said 10:45 open so I’m slightly confused. Also app says all rides are closed for some reason.
  3. Just ask Jack Silkstone. He will deny he knows everything but in reality has know the lineup since park closed for off season last year. I hope survival games returns as I didn’t get to do it last year and it look really fun. Trailers on the other hand I wouldn’t mind if that went to be honest.
  4. Ok, sounds good. I will report back the changes tomorrow if the attraction is open!
  5. Haven’t been on it since reopening yet, will most probably get on on thursday though. Do we know if they have added lights or similar in the windows?
  6. Do we know what’s going on with thorpe so that the rides have to open later? Good to see they are being upfront about it though, regardless of how many people see it considering this page is in the most obscure part of the website.
  7. Right thorpe were quite obviously wrong with that comment... Do we actually have any idea what is wrong with Inferno and if they will fix it anytime soon? I wonder if this is going to end up in a situation similar to Colossus...
  8. I agree, just something saying it's an experience rather than a ride would help loads. Since it's near TWD, many people might assume it's another indoor rollercoaster or some sort of ride. Anything simple, even like 'Ghost Train: a fully immersive horror experience' would clear up to many what the ride is actually about
  9. I didn’t notice at all somehow. I remember being overly engaged in the weather report on the tv screen instead of paying attention to anything else…
  10. I’m going to be honest, I have absolutely no recollection of them playing believer by imagine dragons at all when I went on it… When in the ride experience was it played?
  11. I've recently recieved confirmation of being allowed an access pass with Nimbus Disability and have done the thing where you link it with Merlin using the pass number given to me by Nimbus. I've recieved an email from Merlin saying it's registered as a Merlin Ride Access Pass, saying that it will be avaliable for collection on the day of my visit. The issues I'm having with this is that when I submitted my Nimbus Disability number to Merlin they didn't make me choose a date of booking or which theme park I am going to so do I need to email them what days I am going to Thorpe and Towers so they know? Also it says on collection I need to bring my payment card as proof it is me, but I didn't have to enter any card details as it didn't cost me anything. If anyone know anything about RAP (what I'm meant to do to use it etc.), could you fill me in as this whole experience is all very new to me!
  12. Sorry for the double post… Seems like inferno is opening tomorrow though, can’t have been a massive issue with it then. Also it triggers me that the park itself are calling nemesis inferno just nemesis, it’s not right in my opinion…
  13. Do we know if that's been coordinated by Thorpe Park or Jack Silkstone? Like did Thorpe say to Jack that he could bring someone in with him and he chose Coaster Ctudios or did Thorpe invite Coaster Studios specifically?
  14. True true, do we actually know what’s broken with it?
  15. That's a shame, screens would have made the experience a lot better. Hopefully these improvements bring good changes.
  16. Yh, I would have assumed B&M to be a good company to work with. Their reliability gives of like trustworthy and easy to work with vibes.
  17. For how long?!?! I’m going on the 22nd and don’t want it to be closed then! Haven’t got on inferno yet this season
  18. Thats interesting. I'd like to know if they mean new or old Intamin because I think things have been getting better for Intamin in recent years.
  19. I saw on facebook that the park said they are waiting on new parts (or something similar) for the ride. They are saying that the supplier is taking ages to deliver and they ordered the parts last year..
  20. Sorry to bump this post. But just wanted to talk about my experience with walking dead on my last visit. This ride has definitely grown on my and I do think it’s in my top 10 rides at thorpe now. When I went last tuesday, the operations were great, with the baggage people only allowing bags in the storage wrist band place telling everyone to put jumpers etc back on to save time. The first time I went on it the queue was 5 mins then the other two times it was walk on. My last ride on it was the best. Me and my mate got an entire train to ourselves as there was nobody else there, and for the first time ever (for me) there were actors in the end. As there were only two of us the experience was great they chased us for ages and separated us making it even better! I don’t know why there were randomly actors in TDW because I’ve never had them before and I’ve heard many times that there are never actors there. It wasn’t even an especially busy day considering it was the school holidays, so I don’t see why they would use the actors.
  21. I couldn't follow the story that well on Ghost Train to be honest. I might not have fully understood the story as there was a group on the same train as me who wouldn't stop shouting and making jokes so the actors kept laughing and not finishing their lines. I didn't really understand the story of DBGT either, so I guess the storytelling on Ghost Train was a bit better as I at least understood something that was going on. I could just be being too critical since I've had a couple of good runs throught the London dungeons in the past year and was expecting something very similar here.
  22. I'm in the opinnion that it's not loads better than DBGT. Maybe I didn't have the best ride on it, but I just found the whole experience so predictable and not very scary as everything coming could be seen from a mile off. I do agree that it's fun, but I was expecting a new scary attraction, rather than a tame story experience. Maybe my hopes were just too high considering they had to keep the existing ride system.
  23. Definitely seems so. I’ve totally forgotten the roadmap for when everything is installed. Is it supports after all those pins are in place and if so when are we likely to see them being put in?
  24. It doesn’t feel like that much has really been done though. The ride system is the same, the pre show uses the same technology and the end scene is pretty much identical. The only thing that would be expensive is maybe the 1st station where they had to get rid of the mirrors and change that. Now I’ve been able to think more about my ride on it, to me it feels like a cheaper version of DBGT as there is no VR to make the ride feel more novel.
  25. I do agree with that as well. When I was on it I couldn't really hear what was being said from one of the actors in the train, especially as there was a groups of teenagers right opposite me and my mate who wouldn't shut up for the enitre ride and only seemed to know how to shout. Louder speaker would have definitly helped.
