Considering the track could be completed any day now(unless the rumours that the last bit of track was sent back to Ohio are true) testing could start very soon I think . But regardless, I would assume it would open with the park on opening day next season; unless there’s some big delay I don’t see it opening any later.

When I was on swarm yesterday I saw loads of gold supports, probably about 20. There were still definitively more white the gold but still a fair few gold. There was also a crane on the island behind swarm yesterday, not sure if that was for a new support delivery or if they were getting started on moving the supports to the site.

When I went at the end of August the operator was counting down on inferno, the operations were great that day, inferno didn’t stack that much at all. I’m on park today so can maybe take some reading and see if they match up with Matt N’s results from a couple of days ago.

I’m going to thorpe this coming sunday so am hoping that we may be seeing some sort of vertical construction when I’m there. But as you say this seems to be taking forever and I can’t really see anything happening in the next week really.

I would definitely prefer the name exodus too but there’s not really a theme I would associate with that name that much. Hyperia definitely gives egyptian/greek vibes, that I don’t think exodus could give to a theme. I know it’s almost certain that it’s going to be an egyptian theme but I’m just a bit skeptic about these new signs that are now apparently on park (haven’t been since they have been installed so can’t confirm yet) that show a mountain with exodus. I guess this could possibly suggest a mountain theme, which was also a contender for the theme that people were talking about.

I just can’t get my head round ghost train to be honest. I’ve ridden it maybe 5/6 times since it opened and every single time I’ve been disappointed. It’s just missing something that stops it being scary or suspenseful at all and I just can’t put my finger on what that is. The story is so predictable and pretty much revealed to you in the pre show anyway and I genuinely just don’t find the experience scary one bit. Breakout at bozos was more scary than ghost train has ever been for me and that’s meant to be a tame maze targeted at a younger audience. I just don’t get how thorpe park looked at the ride and went this is a good investment and we are proud of what we have made here. I’m sorry but it’s just a massive waste of money in my opinion.

As metal for the station is now on site do you think they will start building the station now or do they have to wait for the station track to go in first? I would like to maybe see the station go up soon so we could possibly get an idea of what the rides theming is going to be about.

Makes sense I guess yh, track deliveries will be proper exciting!

Do they even have enough gold/lower supports to start vertical construction soon? Last time I rode swarm (about a week and a half ago) there were still only the same amount that was in JS’s video. Would absolutely love to see track arrive though, can’t wait until that happens!

I think that theme would be kinda good to be honest. I’ve never really liked the idea of the egyptian theme but if it’s themed like this I don’t think it would be too bad.

It broke… In all seriousness I wonder what they are doing there. Looks like they are screwing part of the track where 2 pieces intersect, could this be a possible issue, I don’t know much about how rollercoaster maintenance works.

Just seen new branding on the exodus construction wall, glass holes in the wall to see through with a gold and black colour scheme. I’ll get photos as soon as I can, there are people still putting it up now.

Will one be able to purchase something similar to that? It looks awesome and I would love to have a smaller model of it that I could display somewhere.
-
Could be a test for new colours, or just marking that support, but either way it is interesting why they are doing something there. Maybe it is related to the downtime there was for inferno a month of so ago.

I always hit saw and Colossus straight away then head to stealth after I’ve done those two. Colossus has always been a tricky one for me to get on if I don’t go on it straight away due to its abysmal capacity and inability to stay operating for more than about an hour at once 😂. I usually also leave inferno and swarm till the end of the day as by after 4 it seems both of them usually have very short queues.

I’m convinced the park have an identity crisis about the age range of their park every season. They should just choose something and stick too it. Also I think young adult also means people from like 19-25 or something but I don’t really know, it feels counter productive excluding certain people in my opinion.
-
I feel like thorpe park aren’t gonna get rid of stealth anytime soon. The park loves the ride too much to get rid of it and there aren’t many technical problems with it either. I think the park will do everything in its power to keep stealth open for as long as it can, even after exodus takes away its appeal; it’s still a unique attraction for the uk and has the iconic top hat too.

Is that confirmed? I know they are stating golden hour but knowing thorpe they could just announce the fact that there gold season pass is on offer just to trick us all. I do hope we see some advertising though, they need to start sooner rather than later in my opinion.
-
I was just about to post that. I’m going to be honest they are not the colour for me though. The gold just seems very dark, almost brown to me, I just don’t think it’s what I was expecting unfortunately.

I think the problem I have with the looks of that tent is that light will bleed through, totally ruining the experience in the maze before about 6 o’clock. But then I’ve never done a tent maze so I could be completely wrong about the light.
-
I would love to see a tent maze in that area!! I mean we do have the big top entrance mouth thing out for carnivals right now so I guess it could be a possibility.
-
I’m don’t think the all day pass is worth it really. I know I could have got lucky but when I was at thorpe park last wednesday the person on the door of Bozos allowed us to do the maze 4 times on our tickets (there were 2 of us, we had one ticket each). The people running the maze don’t care enough to stop people going in again, meaning the more expensive ticket to allow you to go in multiple times isn’t worth it.

You mean what was relevant 2 years ago… Angry birds wasn’t really that relevant in 2014, I think that’s why it kinda failed.
