    The Crash Pad

Just to say, I've booked chessie hotel with MAP discount recently. My stay is cheaper than that.
  2. My flatmate used to work at sundown - it is most definitely themed. Probably one of the best themed parks in the UK.
  3. Whatever the bloody dr pepper events called. Their names are so god damn similar that they mingle into "thorpe park" in my mind. Anyway, last week of summer holidays are always very busy. Always. So why did thorpe have lower opening times for that week?! Surely they remember, or can look at previous years to see that thats what bloody happens?!
  4. I really don't. They're a nightmare to work with at legoland, and they'll definitely go down the route legos already done and make it a ridiculously expensive fastrack option. Hate Qbot - far easier to up fastrack prices and reduce limits. At least they've only got two places to buy fastrack (apart from on-the-door sales). Far prefer this to a few years ago. Anyway, thorpe closing at 6pm?! What happened to the ride and rave event? Or does that finish just as the busiest week of the summer holidays start (and therefore longest opening hours needed)?!
  5. When I went during schools weeks, they had topless male models taking up an entire 8 seats of the ride. They went around 4 times. Rest of train was empty. Queue was 2hrs. I love how thorpe do not give one solitary **** about their guests.
  6. Double Post. Audrey said on Coronation Street that Nick shouldn't have gone to towers on a bank holiday because of how rammed it obviously was. How wrong she was. Maximum queue 30mins, everything 0mins by 5. I think Nick just decided to bugger off in the evening instead of returning home.

    Legoland

Golf is positioned exactly behind the play area - so it makes sense. The golf is a complete shambles, it's not owned by lego and the owners don't care about it and put no investment into it - don't even care if its open or anything. Hence why they wanna get rid, lego hate it basically.
  9. I can only imagine it is - the only addition merlin have put in which counteracts this suggestion was Storm Surge.
  10. And the rides look run down and awful. Not towers run down, just downright dirty.
  11. Chessie is piss awful over the summer. Seriously awful. Doesn't help that they don't generally care about operations too much anymore either. It just doesn't cope with busy days. Poor park. Needs investment.

How're they gonna keep guests off the rest of the park, and only those staying over in that area? Presume it mentions that somewhere?
  13. People who cannot tell the difference and spell it incorrectly are morons (this is completely aimed at Liam, noone else)
  14. Not particularly - even if they had no bag drop, you'd still need multiple lanes per side to have a properly working front row and singles queue. If they didn't have front row queue, and position the bag drop just slightly better, it'dve been perfect.
  15. I voted not sure. They're both equally unenjoyable due to either the wonderful neck-cutting moment on rita, or stupid shortness on stealth, they're both styled rather than themed, and I'd say stealth was the scariest due to the height, but rita cable snapped and could've killed people. That would've been scary.
  16. I LIKE SWARM, BUT I ALSO LIKE INFERNO. SO I WANT THEM TO FIGHT TO THE DEATH TO FIND OUT WHICH ONES BETTER.
  17. OH MY GOD THIS NEMESIS SUB TERRAINIAN IS LIKE THAT SAW THING AT THORPE. No, no it bloody isn't.
  18. The Lorax. Went to see it for the SECOND time today. It's amazing. Look how ace this song is!:
  19. Just for the closed rides are cheaper effect - if they're broken, it's not cheaper. Need replacement parts, still have the same amount of staffing on, and you're paying in compensation to guests who's days have been affected. People who don't enjoy their day are far less likely to return, that'll definitely affect them.
  20. I far prefer the baggage holds - it's just not in the best position available. The queue would've been awful to use for single riders also though, best not have either and just let people queue up slightly behind the rows as long as its not excessive.

    The Smiler

Definitely read that as fast track.
  22. Baggage is quite badly placed in Swarm. Most of that area is quite badly positioned, which you could probably only have noticed once it's opened. I, for one, adore the front row queue. What a pointless waste of space that was. Noone uses it, noone understands it, there was no need for it. Imagine it'll never be open eventually.
  23. More engineers is probably what they require, but we all know funding is tight. Shame
  24. I imagine it'd be down to not having a dedicated effects team - they'll all be bundled to the overstretched engineering team which are too busy trying to react to the rides breaking down.
  25. No. Fansites are not there to advertise the events. You're acting like bloody PBE instead of something like you should do, towers street facebook is a good example. What REALLY annoyed me most though, was that bloody awful picture posted yesterday. What a lovely skyline, with Depth Charge blocking all of it. I'm sorry, that was an utterly crap photo - you may as well have posted a pic of X queueline for all I care. Shoddily run - you're run for enthusiasts, act like a bloody enthusiast page, not an advertisement for thorpe/12yr old writing because they're bored.
